Can true happiness be found in the realm of Utangard? Can we shape our destiny and find the peace we so desperately seek?Homecoming is the final installment in Kal and Thorsten's story. HEA, no Cliffhanger!
Not great but cute. The story could have been fleshed out more and there were some random plot lines that were just dropped but out didn't change the trajectory.
So the human is an innocent but not dumb - it makes no sense for him to not share threats to his safety. After everything that happened with the heir before it makes even less sense to not be upfront when being propositioned. The me mentions of Norse mythology go no where and no one seems to care.
It's cute but I found myself really struggling to care for the exposition dumps and the conga line of character introductions that lead absolutely nowhere.
It really lost me when this turned into a rewritten mythology trope that I didn't think I signed up for but here we are.
And once again, important and interesting stuff happens off screen and is mentioned casually as 'Oh by the way we did this major plot point while you weren't looking'.
The many nothingburger servings really took away from the little plot advancement that DID happen and I got a little tired of hearing "my kids are cute, my spouse is amazing my family is great" on repeat.
I was pleasantly surprised to happen upon this sequel, and it delivered quite well. The first book was kind of chaotic, but the focus was always the main characters.
In this second book, Kal and Thorsten are 100% ride-or-die for each other, and I loved their dynamic. There was definitely strong character development since the previous book. The story was action-packed with a strong emphasis on family and love.
There were some "gasp out loud soap opera" moments for me, which made me enjoy this book all the more. The story definitely came full-circle with a satisfying happily ever after.
A 3.5 🌟 book . Okay , so the story is pretty good and I enjoyed this book much more than the first one . I just wish that since the idea for the story is so interesting, the author gave it more details and explored both of the worlds a bit more , made this a trilogy with each book being like 400 pages , I truly think that the story had a lot of potential and a lot of other things could have added or explored . Regardless, this book was pretty nice and cute , despite the war , which didn't last that long . So ,Kal , Thorsten and their twins and Kal's dad , go through the portal to go to the land of the titans , but when they arrive there , they find out that a war is going on and Thorsten family is spread all across and some have went MIA and Thorsten's older brother ( the king ) is severely injured , so Thorsten has to take the throne and then it's all about how the king's mate can't be a mere dwarf and stuff .
My only knowledge about Noarse mythology being from Thor in Avengers and also like the animated series , and then reading about the twins being named , Thor and Loki , and Kal being called midgardian , like Thor used to do especially in the animated cartoon series , is just making me enjoy this much more than the first book .
Yeah ,much more of Noarse mythology is being talked about in this book , I don't know much about it , but it's still pretty fun.
I think my favourite part of this whole duology is gonna be when Kal goes to Innangard , in his soul form . Yeah that was sooo fun to read .
Between the 1st book and this one i think the 1st book was better. I ended up skipping a lot because it added nothing to the story and basically felt like word filler on an essay paper. I think if this is your 2nd MM series to read ever you will actually like it but if you are an experienced MM or even Omegaverse reader than this will only disappoint you. I'm sure with time the Author's writing style and story developing will get better.
To be honest, this was nice but I enjoyed the first book more than this. Although it was nice to see Kal and his kids in a place they could finally call home. I wanted him to tell Thorsten what Vail had done and said to him but he didn’t and that was disappointing. I also wanted to see more of Kal and Thor and Kal getting pregnant again but all there was were talks about war war war. Again that was disappointing.
So this series is two books long and is well written. Though it starts pretty fast paced it does have moments where it shows down then speeds back up. Love the main characters. They have flaws that make them easier to fall in love with. Highly recommend reading both books.
Overall I really enjoyed the book. I liked it more than the first one however it lacked the same fleshed out problems of the first. Some of the plot was rushed and leaving you wanting more explanation. I would have loved more of the war and the nobles. The whole storyline with the boys was my favorite part.

A bit weaker than the first one, the story is a bit all over the place, and the war is over without much happening. The MC is just sitting around doing nothing most of the time and there's nothing happening underwater, which made him interesting to begin with. Gone also his passion and love for swimming and deep diving. He just is a dad now and nothing else is of interest.
Book 2, the adventure for human Kal and his Titan mate continues as they travel back to the Titan homeworld only to find themselves smack dab in the middle of a war. Politics take the forefront here along with numerous battle scenes and the other intrigue.
KU. Sci-fi/fantasy feels, family man, royalty, war, fated mates, Norse mythology
I can't say enough about this book/series you'll get lots of adventure, action, love & sex!!!!! These titans are awesome 👍 But yes they are big teddy bears towards their mate and children & you will learn lots if history of the Titans & some of the Greek gods!!!!! Thank you so much for this series - Lori
I was thrilled when I saw this was out! I had so hoped to have a sequel where the guys went to Thorsten’s home world so I’m so happy I got it! It was not a disappointings one either, I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion to Kal and Thorsten’s love story!
Waste of time. There was no story, no romance, the events just happen for the sake of just leading it to somewhere and so it felt so random and so unfinished. The war ends without a war...it was so anticlimactic; and then the last 30% of the book is just world building for no reason.
I highly enjoyed this book and had a great time reading it. The addition of Thor & Loki was what made it for me. The children were adorable and endearing. Love the family!
