The book was ok. Lots of reminders to advocate for your son. To be positive and encouraging. My biggest take away from the book was that dyslexia can affect so many other parts of their lives. Sounds that are too loud, food textures they don't have the vocabulary to express, emotional and social difficulties, self worth issues. Worth the read but was hoping for more.

Decent general info

There are better books about dyslexia out there but this is a fine intro book. Knowledge is power and the more information there is about helping dyslexic kids the better.

3.5⭐️ a good portion of this book didn’t need to be written again, but the part about how to navigate parenting from the perspective of the challenges with self-esteem associated with learning challenges as well as the next steps from high school and beyond… very solid.

Good book.....didn't really read anything that struck me as new knowledge but I definitely related to most of what the book was talking about and nice to know that others also experience the same with Dyslexic boys.

This is an okay intro book if you know absolutely nothing about dyslexia and you need to be told the same thing 10 times in slightly different ways.
