Claiming Juliet is book two of the Thorngrove series, but may be read as a standalone.Timothy
I’ve been through more tragedy in my life than most can imagine. I’m resigned to living my life alone until a call from my estranged son has me flying to Thorngrove and everything changes. I’m satisfied just to mend the broken relationship with my son… until one of his friends literally falls into my arms.
Juliet is smart, shrewd, and has just the right amount of bratty spunk. She makes me want so much more than a sub to kneel for me for a night. She makes me want a partner to stand beside me for life. I want her to be mine in every sense of the word and I am determined to claim her regardless of the walls she’s built around her heart.
I thought being a Dom would be a sufficient substitute for a love life after losing my wife in childbirth. I thought I’d never have a relationship with my son after he left for college with years of animosity between us. I thought the tragic events in my life were all in the past. I thought that I had it all under control... I thought wrong.Juliet
I’ve given up on having a meaningful relationship after a few disastrous dates in high school and college. I’m determined to stay focused on my nursing career and building a successful life for myself. I’m satisfied to live that life alone… until I run into my friend’s father.
Timothy is charming, confident, and the chemistry between us is electric. He shows me what true pleasure feels like while still treating me like a lady. He is everything I’ve always wanted in a partner but thought I would never find in this small college town.
But he is twenty-two years older than me. He is only in town temporarily. A relationship between us could damage the one he’s trying to build with his son. There are other outside forces at work that are determined to destroy what we have. I know that I need to keep my heart guarded because a future with him is impossible… right?
Juliet has never found that one person who completes her. She needs more than most guys can handle. She's closed herself off from love so she doesn't get hurt. Then she sees the most attractive man while taking care of her friend. How do you keep your walls up when someone else is trying so hard to break them down? You don't.
Juliet is so sweet and I feel bad that she's closed herself off. Timothy is the definition of a Daddy. I'm obsessed with the fact that Timothy winks at her. I adore that he knows what he wants and he's not afraid to go after it. Skyler's welcome home party was definitely a cat hunting a mouse. I love the dates they went on. I will say that I'm not a fan of the fact that he calls her "little lady". I feel like there were so many points where I was left hanging on the edge and then the scene just ends. It's still a cute story. Very steamy.

I couldn't put Timothy and Juliet’s story down! I love this world, C.L. has written for us. I hope we get a story for everyone! They have chemistry, and I love reading with the time jumps. We get their full story.
I tried really hard to get into this book, but I just couldn’t get over the back-and-forth in the timeline. There were jumps from page, decade to decade. It really threw me off the flow. I felt like I couldn’t get into the characters. I’m all for Insta love as well, but I felt they had zero conversation about boundaries especially consider a lot of the BDSM aspects had detailed descriptions up to that point. The spice was really tame and then he started calling her “little lady” and that just gave me the ick. Sorry not for me.
Timothy and Juliet have an undeniable attraction from the first time they meet, and that attraction only intensifies with each interaction we see throughout the book. I've never read a Dom/sub book before, and I have to say that I liked how the safety aspect of that lifestyle was always right there. Timothy is a sexy older man, and although Juliet is young, she's quite mature, so it seemed normal that she'd date her friends dad 😉 Good book!

Good book, I loved the dynamic between the main characters and the supporting characters. There was some drama but not over the top which was a relief.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I loved this book! This is Timothy & Juliet's story. It's an age gap book & I loved it all! There was some drama, but not a lot & the spice was fantastic! I loved this book & highly recommend this series & author!
This was a great Age Gap Dom/sub. I enjoyed Juliet and Timothy's relationship and instant chemistry. My main issue was due to that I personally struggle when books time jump a lot. There was a lot of backstory for the MMC: things that were important to his story.
One of my favorite reads! Timothy and Juliet are ranked in my top 10 MC. I’m usually a the more the smut the better but this was not a lot of smut - just the right amount 🍆 🥵 🔥 I’ve struggled with finding good reads and C.L Strickland nailed my definition of a good read 📕
