Nashville Spicy #1-7

Nashville Spicy Complete Series

Rate this book
From the quirky mind of award-winning, international bestselling author Casey Morales . . .

Nashville Spicy is the tale of men bound together by common threads of friendship as the loves of their lives are revealed in fun, surprising, and often humorous ways.

In Winning His Vote , David, a cocky Congressman, hires Joe to work on his campaign to become Tennessee's Governor. Joe's instant dislike of David burns away as intrigue and passion take over. When the pair finally unites, more than a political office is at stake.

Joe's long-standing hookup, Sam, gets his own story in Wrenched . Sam owns a repair shop and is thrust into the middle of a police investigation when officers mistakenly take a missing woman's car to his garage. Miguel Nunez leads the team searching for the woman, but when he meets Sam, his investigation takes an unexpected—and spicy—turn.

I Hear You is the story of Tyler, Sam's best friend and ardent party boy who is determined to live the wild life until the wheels come off his bus. That is, until he walks into a coffee shop and bumps into Gabe, the adorably dimpled deaf guy with floppy hair and a bright smile.

The fourth book in the series, The Batter's Box , follows Nate, a minor league baseball player Miguel mentored during his college playing days. Nate struggles in his quest for the majors but rises to the occasion when he meets the quirky, irresistible Cooper, an introverted number crunching taekwondo black belt whose word vomit brings conversations to a hilarious halt.

Finally, Buckeye , the crown jewel of the series, tells the story of Nick, a former teammate of Nate, as he is traded and has to find his way in a new city. He never dreamed a children's home would be part of his journey, nor had he envisioned a small boy infecting his heart, yet both become his salvation. When he falls for Dr. Andre Martin, a French psychiatrist on the home's staff, his life truly begins anew.

The Nashville Spicy series is a set of authentic and heartwarming tales, some from the authors true memory, that includes themes of found family, enemies-to-lovers, hurt/comfort, men in sport, slow burn romance, and so much more.

Readers should be aware, some stories include scenes in which characters relive traumatic events and some who struggle with alcoholism, addiction, and PTSD.

The Nashville Spicy Box Set contains the first five gay romances in a series centred on Nashville. Five different couples find love including a Republican congressman and his campaign manager (#1 Winning his Vote), a cute police officer and a hunky mechanic (#2 Wrenched), a deaf Italian immigrant and a partyboy mechanic (#3 I Hear You), a nerdy financial whizz and a closeted minor league baseball player (#4 The Batter’s Box), and a child psychiatrist and a minor league baseball player (#5 Buckeye). There’s strong chemistry between each couple with above-average steam (hence the ‘spicy’ series title) but none of the stories are overwhelmed by the steamy scenes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire series: Casey Morales was a new author to me and I loved his writing style, the stories, the heat level, and strongly connected characters. I really appreciated that, despite all the HEAs, the characters didn’t always get everything they wanted and Casey left some loose ends untied—it seemed more realistic that way. There are some more books in the series (#6 A Nashville Spicy Christmas, #7 National Singles Day) but these aren’t available on audio (yet🤞). 🎧 Dan Levy has a lovely deep voice that really suits the characters and he narrates the entire series superbly (with Joel Leslie adding one character’s dialogue in #5 Buckeye). Fingers crossed Dan gets to narrate the final two books!

I have not written a book review for some time. Until now. This collection grabbed my attention and held it throughout with it casual story telling and friendly humor.
When I read books like this I find similarities with my own past. For example, authors like Felice Piccano, one of my all time favourites, who would take you on journeys through gay history such as Like People in History and Late in the Season to name a few.
But here we have Casey Morales baring his life journey and sharing thoughts and fears which we all have at some stage in our lives, but doing this with compassion.
I loved the gradual stepping stones of this journey, taking the reader on his journey of love, and pain, until finally reaching his penultimate conclusion of happiness. His stories wrap the reader in rugs of fear, misunderstanding, humour, love , and so much more. Each journey leaves the reader with a better understanding of the mysteries of life and love. Well done. I could continue on but I feel in awe of this writer and inspired to share my thoughts.

A really entertaining series with such different characters in each book

Winning His Vote was the first book of Casey's that I read and I was hooked. I thought it was a stand alone so was delighted when it became a series and I have reviewed each book separately.
Once introduced, the characters interact throughout the series (with the exception of Joe and David from Winning His Vote, which features Sam) and each book builds a little more on their world. Sam and Miguel (Wrenched) become even more lovable as the series continues, and I especially loved them with Cooper (The Batter's Box), who was adorable.
Casey saved the best till last, a five star read that contained my favourite love story of all, one that had me tearing up throughout. It was love at first sight between a lost man and a silent child in Buckeye, and the most beautiful relationship with the best pay-off in the whole of the series.

So well written. I love each couples individual stories and then how each intertwine and come together.
You can't help but love each couple. Your heart is filled with love, broken down to its core and then laugh til you cry.
Joe and David, Miguel and Sam, Gabe and Ty, Nate and Cooper (such a trip), Nick, Andre ... Ethan bought ripped my heart out, but later made me smile and laugh, and finally Steph and Jack. Add in Donna, Annie, Marjorie and Mila...and we can't forget Rufus ...and it was a complete set.
Can't say enough good things.
Casey outdoes himself again and again.

I do not give this set 5 stars lightly, I listened to this set in it’s entirety on audible and had the time of my life. I cried I laughed and said awww out loud to my self. I made this account just to write this review in the hopes that more people read these books. The emotional depth given to these characters is amazing. These characters feel like real people in there world, I know Morales based the last book off of real stories, but even the ones that are made up feel like grounded relationships between 2 men that love each other.

very Spicy. Indeed!

I went on holidays to Bali & this series bundle was what I took away to have some reading time out 😂 After I started reading it, I honestly found it so hard to put down. It’s funny, witty, loving humour filled with so many feels in it. Every new story had its own road to travel and they all had their own characters you grow to love. I’m looking forward to reading more of Casey Morales books in the future 😍📚🥰

Boxed set 3.5

There is a mix of great books and just meh books in this collection, hence the 3.5. The first half is strong with interesting characters meeting and loving. There is a great blend of accountants, mechanics, politicians and baseball players throughout the collection. It is not at all repetitive except for all the HEAs.

4.5*

Nashville Spicy series

I loved all these books, especially the last two. The Christmas story and Steph & Jack's story were particularly enjoyable. Excellent writing and wonderful characters made these books so hard to put down. Several nights I read straight through until dawn. I highly recommend these and other books by Casey Morales.

Maybe I didn't give this long enough. But the first story about the elections bored me to tears. There was way too much unnecessary information about too many side topics and by chapter 18 there was still very little progress in the story of these two guys getting together. Sorry, but I gave up.

Casey Morales is a new author to me. I was not disappointed at all and this author just gained a new fan. This is a fantastic series of books that are equally sweet, charming, swoony and absolutely heartfelt. I enjoyed going on each adventure with these men finding their other halves.

I do not think our definition of “spicy” is the same. I was so bored throughout the whole series.

Heartwarming

Loved the characters. I was rooting for a Nick and Andre, perfect couple, just what Nick needed after the crap he had to deal with. Loved the romance!
