This hit Boys’ Love webtoon/manhwa (comic) is coming to print in English for the first a full-color and Mature-rated romantic comedy about a convenience store part-timer and a handsome gangster!
College student Yeo Eui-joon works the graveyard shift at a convenience store to pay his bills. The shift sucks, but the money’s good, and the customers—mostly mobsters and hoodlums—don’t cause too much trouble. That might be due to Gunwoo, a tall, hunky gangster who frequents the store for booze and cigarettes. He’s scarier than the rest of the clientele, but seems to have a soft spot for Eui-joon, defending him from the more volatile customers. Could there be more behind Gunwoo’s protective actions? And if so, is Eui-joon prepared to be a part of Gunwoo’s violent world?
I want what Eui and Ahjussi have 😔💓 The way their dynamic is so freeing and kind of uncomplicated AND not toxic! I just love it …I also love how Ahjussi is a man of few words but is still able to say the right things in only a few sentences. Got these two make me so happy!
Well, if I like you, then I guess I'm f*ckin' gay.
That's right, none of this "gay for you" crap from this series. It'd be nice if they realized that bi exists, but at this point, I'll take what I can get.
I love how protective Gunwoo is. And the way Eui-join is trying to deny just how much he likes the older man is adorable. They both know it’s inevitable that things will get sticky, but they’re still gonna be okay.
This was really good, but it is making me nervous because it seems like it’s about to be a love triangle and I do not like it 😫 I don’t want anything to come between Eui-joon and Gunwoo, so scared that’s the direction they’re going in😬

still fun, still a little cringey, still cute. a new character added which is very fun, plus a bit more tension. pretty silly overall, but the good kind of silly!
This volume got me giggling bro. Gave me so many butterflies and heart flutters. I felt so single like why can’t there be a man like this out there for me :(
The time skip? That was so unexpected but necessary to the story. Eui-joon matured and became a man in his late 20s who hadn’t forgotten or gotten over his mister from 4 years ago. The start of S3 had a bit of a bittersweet tone to it but I am happy to report that Eui-joon and Gunwoo did in fact get their happy ending.
After all those years of radio silence from Gunwoo, Eui-joon was right to be mad and he did try to be stubborn and not get back together with Gunwoo out of self-respect. But Gunwoo was also persistent in his pursuit of winning him back. There is infidelity in this season though, with Eui-joon being the cheater and the one being cheated on. And Eui-joon had enough self awareness to know that cheating was wrong even though he was also being cheated on, so that part was a little messy. However, when Eui-joon and Gunwoo finally got together for real, they were so sweet on each other and their sex was so hot. More than that, I really liked how they found comfort and happiness in each other. I was also relieved that Chaehyeon was well and alive, and his character was actually so important to Gunwoo’s character growth.
I really liked how Gunwoo changed for the better over the course of the story after meeting and knowing Eui-joon. His character is so refreshing because he’s blunt and honest but not necessarily an asshole, if you know what I mean. And yeah, his personality did make it hard for Eui-joon to get to know him better as a person, but he was always good to Eui-joon. Their age gap wasn’t a problem for him and he never used it to his advantage, instead treating Eui-joon with respect although he could be rough sometimes. Their dynamic didn’t change much from S1, with Eui-joon being the talker/sunshine type and Gunwoo being the listener/grumpy type in the relationship, but they both changed as individuals and were able to grow closer as a result.

Chaehyeon was the absolute highlight of this volume for me!
Although he initially had me livid by allowing one of his men to SMACK YEO’S HEAD AGAINST A TABLE, I was pacified once Chaehyeon apologized to Yeo. It also helped that he was nice while they were out to dinner, even showing a clumsy side, and that even though he seems to have nefarious intent…he does want to share info with Yeo. In general, I think he brings back the danger in dangerous convenience store. Now we just need to someone to bring back the convenience store 😂
Anyway. I do appreciate that Gunwoo tries to be considerate of Yeo and his needs…in his own way. He'll still wreck that ass and back, but he’ll at least get him pain relief patches and flowers 😂 He also definitely tries to be helpful by taking him to the library, and tries his best to enjoy their date together even when it gets highjacked by Yeo’s friends! We get some wins in exchange for mercilessly tapping that ass 😂
I truly cannot wait to continue this series. I’m having a great time!
The drama. The tension. The absolute emotional unraveling. My nerves are FRAYED and my little queer heart is fluttering.
Eui-joon deserves a standing ovation — mainly because I’m impressed he can still stand at all. Things got rough in this one (and not just emotionally, ahem 👀). And yet… they’re still so freaking cute together I could scream.
Oh, and hello Chaehyeon! He’s hot. He’s a jerk. He’s got that mysterious “heart of gold” thing going on and I hate that I already love him.
Also? Everyone is still so ridiculously pretty it should be illegal. Someone call the cops. Preferably a hot one.
3 ⭐️ I think the art is great as always, but the story is not my favorite. But my interest was peaked by the new character we were introduced to in this volume, so I’ll be finishing the series regardless.
