Treasure Hunt, by Michael Hinkle, is a useful guide to anyone who’s getting into sales or who’s already in the profession and wants to get better at their job. Becoming an excellent salesperson can be a fine art. It comes naturally to some people, and less so to others. This is a book full of awesome advice that can help you sharpen your skills if you’re already a great salesperson. However, it can also help you if you’re having a tough time getting a burgeoning sales career off the ground.

The book is written in a very approachable and easy-to-comprehend style. All the sales-related terminology is explained in painstaking detail. Each concept is broken down so that any reader can be sure they’re understanding it correctly. It would be hard to envision a book more helpful to individuals who are in the process of making a living through sales.

What impressed me the most was how the author highlighted the critical importance of cultivating strong client relationships as a foundation for building long-term wealth. Undoubtedly, forming authentic relationships with customers is fundamental to achieving enduring success.

So, I would suggest this book to anyone looking to enhance their sales abilities and find success in this demanding yet fulfilling domain.

Michael Hinkle writes with undeniable experience about a subject I've read a lot about: How to become successful salesman.

Over the pages, the author explains his path to success and the key elements to master when building a company or a career in sales, concepts such as client satisfaction, problem-solving skills, landing new customers, while keeping the ones you already have, and most importantly, how to last in this difficult career.

Treasure Hunt is a very detailed book, but accessible to anyone, the concepts are built from the ground up, so even people who are not in this line of business can understand it and apply the concepts, so I recommend it.

Hinkle presents building a successful sales career as a treasure hunt which is kind of a neat thing to do. And presents a different viewpoint in viewing your work. None of the things Hinkle mentions is really new, but he spins it as a "treasure hunt." He outlines the path to the treasure - path: client satisfaction, maintaining the relationships, etc. and the treasure: being sustainable and successful. At the end of the day, you just want everyone to be happy with what happened. The people are just as important as the work. It's a simple book that reminds you of all of that.

Personally, what I enjoyed the best was the approach the author had to embarque on the sales journey. Making it more fun and exciting, that at the end results in better performance and better outcomes.
He makes sure readers know that motivation is key in the whole process to overcome the difficult times and also he talks about how important building trust with the clients is. Having an organic relationship in order to achieve good results.

Usful information that's easy to digest

Overall, this book was a pretty interesting read. Most of the information in it felt like common sense, but a lot of it was things that I just hadn't really thought about in a while. It also had some great quotes throughout the book where he summed up or tried to drive home a point.
Definitely worth the time to read it if you're in sales or interested in sales.

Love the author's perspective on sales and how it should be tackled in order for one to be successful. Although nothing he says is really new or ground-breaking , he does provide you with a new way of viewing things. He mentions several real points, such as how we are all salespeople in almost every aspect of our everyday lives. Great, informative book!
