Victims of a new killer are found dead, the only thing linking them that they are dog owners. As FBI Special Agent Faith Bold navigates the world of dog shelters, her K9 German Shepherd, Turk, at her side, she realizes something is awry—and that, as she heads into a trap, she just may need Turk to catch the killer—and to save her life….

FBI Special Agent Faith Bold doesn’t believe she can ever return to the force after the trauma she’s been through. Suffering from past demons, she feels unfit for duty and content to retire—until Turk walks into her life. Turk, a former Marine Corps dog, wounded in battle, suffers from his own demons. But he never lets it show as he gives everything to Faith to get her back on her feet. Each are slow to warm up to each other, but when they do, they are inseparable. Each is equally determined to hunt down the demons chasing them, whatever the cost, and to watch each other’s backs—even at the risk of their own life. A page-turning and harrowing crime thriller featuring a brilliant and tortured FBI agent, the Faith Bold series is a riveting mystery, packed with non-stop action, suspense, twists and turns, revelations, and driven by a breakneck pace that will keep you flipping pages late into the night.

So Simple is book eleven in the Faith Bold series by Blake Pierce. FBI Special Agent Faith Bold is still reeling from the attack on her boyfriend when she and her partner, Special Agent Michael Prince, catch another case of women dying after adopting a dog. At first, they could not decide the reason for the murders until they talked to the one person neither Special Agent Faith Bold nor Special Agent Michael Prince wanted to be in the same room with. Readers of So Simple will continue to follow Special Agents Faith Bold and Michael Prince as they discover what happens.

I love the way Blake Pierce portrays Turk in this series in a way that allows readers to understand the importance of dogs in our lives. I did engage with the plot and the characters of So Simple, which kept me absorbed with the story until the end. I appreciate the way Blake Pierce weaves two stories together in his books, which makes me want to start reading the next book in the series to discover what happens.

I love Blake Pierce's portrayal of his characters and the way they intertwine with each other throughout this book. So Simple is well-written and researched by Blake Pierce. I like Blake Pierce's description of the sittings of So Simple, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

Get to it!!!

This is just to much. Dose Faith have to lose everyone that she loves and cares about before West is caught or dead. Just saying this is a lot pressure. So far all the stories are good. But were not getting anywhere!!!

The story is a solid 3.5-4.5 star book. This is true for the entire series.

But it gets an automatic one start for using an AI audio narrator instead of getting an actual narrator to save money or whatever. There are tons and tons of narrators out there who are just starting, good and don’t need a paycheck for their work. Many work off audiobook sales or even credits (I know from experience with said narrators.)

AI “art” is lazy and a theft of real people creating art.

(Audiobook) great suspense. Love the mystery where dogs are the main connecting pieces. Also Turk! Just absolutely adorable. Accidentally started on this book, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the characters and plot. Made me want to read more about Faith Bold.

Victoria the AI narrator is driving me crazy. What’s with the random bleating goat noise? I’d give this more stars since I’m hooked on the backstory, but I feel so frustrated with the ridiculous narrator. 🤬
