I think there is a real monster at the haunted house. Greta I met the guy of my dreams at the haunted house. Sweet and hot. I want him. But there’s something hunting me from the shadows. The shadows themselves wrap around my ankles when I’m not paying attention. I’ll have to figure out how to save myself from the them before they catch me for good. On top of that, I have to figure out the mixed signals Eithor is sending me. How do I save myself and my heart? Eithor The light shined so bright that night that I thought they were flood lights. It wasn’t. It was my fated mate. I crave to eat every emotion from her. Her happiness, desire and more. But she fears the shadows that lap at her feet. She’s running to the witches to get rid of the shadows—me. After a steamy afternoon, I know I can’t control the shadows around her. I will have to tell her the truth. Will she accept the monster I am?
Eithor is a shadow monster and when he meets Greta while he's working at a haunted house, he makes her sit and eat something because she got really scared. He asks her out on a date, and they are happily getting to know one another, but she's scared of the shadow tendrils that keep following her around and has no idea that those tendrils are just Eithor because he doesn't tell her. He's afraid she won't be able to accept his true form. She is the light to his darkness.
Greta gets the witches involved when someone at the hospital she works at tells her about the "Nameless" and they fill her head with all kinds of horrors. Eithor should have told Greta what he is when she goes to a store and asks someone about a book on "The Nameless". So she has to make up her mind who to believe and who to trust.
Eithor should have told her the truth of what he was before he tried to have sex with her and then panicked because his shadow tendrils moved on her on their own. He would have had no reason to panic if he'd been truthful with her in the first place. His lying and omitting the truth from her didn't sit right with me at all. But when he was finally truthful and showed her his true form I really liked how he used his tentacles/tendrils. *If you know, you know* Use your imagination. LOL
When a book is only 68 pages long, I expect zero grammatical errors; it’s not like it takes that long to run through it a couple times! So yeah, I was disappointed. I wasn’t sure how a good fated mates monster romance plot could be executed in so brief a time, and I was right to be concerned. The shadow daddy MMC meets the FMC at his work, they go on one date, and then he is forced to come clean about being a monster after accidentally scaring the FMC one too many times with his shadows, which have a mind of their own. The book teases a third-act breakup by having the MMC start to confess and then the FMC refuses to hear him out. She heard “I steal from people” (he eats emotions?? That’s not stealing 🤷🏻♀️ ) as “I’m a felon” which turns quickly into “I kill people.” She goes to a witch at a new age store, gets a magic solution to her shadow problem, and then he magically intervenes before she can use it, explains everything, tells her they’re soulmates, and she’s fine with it and they make love using his shadows. It’s neither spooky nor titillating. The book honestly just needs to go back in the oven and bake a little longer, because the bones are there, but it ain’t done.
Nursing home Greta (h) visits a haunt where her light draws the attentions of Eithor/Thor, a nameless shadow monster with wandering shadow tendrils. Greta finds herself drawn to Thor but is unaware of his true form and struggles against the shadowy tendrils that seem to pursue her wherever she goes. Thor realizes she is his mate and is unsure how to persuade Grate to be his. Hot and steamy shadow monster-human romance with a side of angst, some light bondage, and lots of shadowy tendril fun.
Monster at The Haunt by Author S.R. Griffith is a Monster Romance and her style of writing has blown me away every time I’ve read something of hers and this book is no different. I have to love I love the interaction between the two main characters Thor and Greta, Thor is such a mystery to Greta and they meet at his job at the Haunted house. He saw a light around her and was taken away with her. She is his light to his dark.
It’s definitely a just short steamy monster read you’ll love.
Greta, a woman who loves horror and haunts, has found the man of her dreams at a haunted house. She doesn’t realize he is more than what she has bargained for. Expect that doesn’t stop her from continuing to explore who he truly is.
Eithor, has realized that Greta is his soulmate and will do anything to get her. He is a shadow of some kind and he has to figure out how to tell Greta without losing her forever.
Short, quick and not enough details. It was okay, it wasn’t a bad read though.
One night at a haunt brings Eithor and Greta together. She was shaken and he was taken by her so he helped her and asked her to go on a date. It’s a fated mate thing but she’s human and ignorant to the supernatural world. It’s a race to prove she’s got nothing to fear and win her heart. Sweet spicy with a naughty HEA
This one I really wanted to like, I love demons and fated mates but this was messy. I know it’s a short read but it was honestly hard to get through, FMC annoyed me every time she spoke and it didn’t feel like she wanted him at all. I didn’t get fated mates from this story.
Well that was interesting. Greta meets her soulmate at a haunted house but he happens to be a monster. Steamy scenes with naughty shadows. A short but extremely kinky hot read.
In theory it was a great idea, I just felt it wasn't executed well enough for me. It was only 68 pages but I felt I had to push myself through each one.
Greta loves hunted houses but hates going to them alone. This year she doesn't have anybody to go with, so decides to do it alone anywas. Eithor is a monster that works at a hunted house because he can be in his true form there. You can almost guess what happens at the hunted house.
There are some tentacles/shadows play in this book but nothing more spicy than that, so overall it's a cute and quick read for people who likes some monster romance
