Almost two years have passed since the day Haze tried to end her life but there she was, still “living”. If you could call it that. Tucked away in her cottage in the middle of nowhere, the only time Haze had human interaction was on accident. Well, that was until she decided to step out on faith and bumped headfirst into Mr. Sire Sutton.Sire is a businessman whose only concern should have been making sure he closed the biggest deal he’d ever worked on. Not only would this deal be life changing for everyone connected to him, but it would also sever ties he had been dying to cut. He just needed to stay focused long enough to get the job done… but there was Haze.God created the world in seven days, and in those same seven days, your whole life could change. This week, Sire and Haze are getting something neither of them knew they needed—time to heal.Haze needed to be rescued and Sire needed someone worth saving. Will they each get what they need, or will they be left longing?

First read by this author, and I enjoyed it. I really felt for Haze, as she felt there was no other alternative, when her life began to spiral. After the unsuccessful attempt, the grief, shame and embarrassment that she felt, put her in seclusion from the world, until she was able to cope again.
Sire! Feared and revered in the streets, but behind closed doors he was grieving the loss of his mother, and nothing or no one could pull him out of that funk, until her!
When Haze met Sire, it was under unusual circumstances. However, there was a spark they both felt, but neither were in the right frame of mind to act on it. Or were they? Although they both carried heavy trauma, they were drawn to each other, forming a solid connection. Spending time together and getting to know each other helped them both heal, while falling.
Now that ex popping up, was a shocker, and finding out what he was up to as well! What???? Say it ain't so pastah! 👀 Then you go off the deep end and turn into a psycho? 🤬 Haze had it right to leave that craziness!
I loved the friendships/relationships between Sire/Dame/Seven and Sina/Haze. I hope we get the opportunity to dive deeper into this story. I would love to know why Solo hated his Sire so much but doted on Sina. Was the story Solo told about his late wife true? What happens to Solo after Sire ends the war? How do things progress with Sire and Haze? Do Sina and Dame get together? Will definitely be checking out her catalog. 👍👍👍
I am certain this will not be the last time I read a book by this author. The story rescued me from boredom with this calculated love story. You should read this one.
Haze was going through a lot in her life and she was at the end of her rope in despair. She ends up literally bumping into the man of her dreams. Sire had seen Haze at a distance and was intrigued by her. Sire had a reputation of not to be messed with. He was also going through a lot in his mental as well due to deceased mother and his father not wanting him to leave the street life behind. Sire made it his business to eventually meet Haze. When they started interacting, it wasn't long before their attraction led to passion. Meeting Haze made Siren more determined to leave the street life behind but his father was still trying to hold onto him. I couldn't stand Sire's father and he got what he deserved. He brought it on himself and I didn't feel sorry for him. I loved Sire and Dame's relationship as well as Dame and Seven's humor. They had me cracking up. I hope we will get a book with Dame and Sina so we can delve into their relationship. This book is about Sire and Haze becoming healed. Both were broken in their past and they became whole again by rescuing each other which I loved.
This was my first read it was good but fast paced although it begins with Haze and Sire bumping into each other he had been watching her for five days from now his point every moves fast from Haze healing and finding herself to the war with Hazes day in bough the story was good there were questions such has when did their mom have the baby and how did uncle James get him why didn’t Hazes parent search for her and what was their relationship and Lonnie how he go from distant husband to having relationship with the decon to wanting ing his wife back just to many unanswered questions but it was still a. Good read
Rescue Me is an amazing first read by this author. Sina, Sire, Dame, Seven and Haze are a perfect combination. I love how Sire knew what he wanted and went after it. Sina was the best with Haze even before she knew her story. I love how Sire wanted to make sure he handled Solo but in a way that Sina requested. Solo had so much hatred for Sire because Sire was a better man than he ever was. Kudos Laquana!
This was a good Story. It touched on some sensitive topics. It was a little slow in the beginning, but it really picked up. I enjoyed Haze, Sire, Dame, Sina and Seven. I would like for the story to continue and find out happens with Sina, Dame and Seven.
Love this book! It was very entertaining. Haze and Sire were great together. Love comes to you when yo least expect it. Sina and Sire had slot of personal issues, they both needed to resolve.
