I’m having a very bad day. No, let’s make that a very bad month.
It’s not enough to be one of the only mothmen left in West Virginia, or that I have no hope of finding a mate or even being able to pop into the grocery store without attracting terrified screams—but now my home has been destroyed, too.
With my forest gone and my career as an amateur arborist kaput, I do the unthinkable. I leave my family and head to paranormal-friendly Pine Ridge, knowing that I can find safety there…and maybe even get WiFi and the occasional convenience store veggie wrap. If I really want to shoot for the moon, perhaps in a year or two I’ll be doing well enough to convince my hothead brother to leave the ruins of our old life and join me.
Cindy
I’m getting old. Okay, no, not really, but I’m becoming more mature. I just watched one of my best friends seize life with both hands and go from a struggling, single waitress to an engaged pastry chef and business owner. I want that. Okay, maybe I don’t want to own a business, but I’m tired of random hookups and fun flings. I want to find my person, that one special somebody and Pine Ridge seems like the place to do it. I don’t know what it is about this little town, but wedding bells always seem to be ringing!
There’s just one problem. I’m not the good girl type. I don’t know how to keep things serious. I don’t even know where to find a guy who wants to settle down and start a new life. Even if I did, I don’t know if he’d be into someone like me. (My friends say I’m kind of a lot.)
It’s not like Mr. Sweet-And-Sensitive is going to fall out of the sky and land at my feet…Enjoy a low angst, high steam standalone in the cozy paranormal world of Pine Ridge! A happy ending is guaranteed!
I enjoyed every second of this book! The characters were so real and raw and the romance was perfect and so cute! I loved Lennox and Cindy so much, they were so perfect for each other!
Soooo good! I absolutely love the chemistry between them. It was great that Cindy owned her experiences and it wasn't frowned upon. I dontcwant to give anything away, it was great!
I have to start this interview by saying I wasn’t sure how much I would love this book when I started it. I started it because I needed a moth man monster. I just wasn’t sure how much I would fall in love with it. And one thing I’ve come to learn with this authors books as they are my cozy romances. I will always fall in love with her books. This book was no exception after two or three chapters in I completely fell in love and honestly was looking forward to having that be my nightly read every night. It was nice. It was comforting. The main male character you absolutely fall in love with he is so kind. He is so gentle for being the size he is by comparison and of course, I just love reading about all the characters in this world. I love how they Incorporated in the story, even if they aren’t front facing.
S.C. Principale has dine such an amazing job with the world building of the Pine Ridge Universe. This is a place I'd like to visit and maybe live at as well. Its so well drawn out that I have no problem visualizing the town as I read. Cindy seemed like someone I would actually know a young woman struggling to find her place with parents who want to make decisions for her. She's feisty, smart and has a good heart. She lives helping people and really just enjoys her job at the restaurant and working at her friends bakery. Ite funny how a town full of paranormal beings can stay hidden until something or someone forces you to take notice. Who finally opens Cindy's eyes to the other world around her Lennox the sweet gentleman mothman who moves to Pine Ridge. He's wonderful sweet, considerate shy and kind and as He and Cindy get to know one another he also shows that he can be quite protective . This is a feel goid relationship based story that is oh so sweet and deliciously spicy at the same time. I highly recommend that you visit Pine Ridge and give this wonderful little town a try. You'll fall in love with the people their stories and the town. 🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥
So, mothman is a running joke with my bestie. When I saw a newly published romance featuring said cryptid, I was all over it. Lennox is our misunderstood but passionate male lead. His zest for life and nature take a backseat only to his devotion to Cindy. She's our college girl with no real plan for her life except to graduate and work at her best friend's bakery. When these two meet, it's automatic sparks. I love love loved their dynamic and how they fell fast but true. Lennox has unusual anatomy and wings, but he uses them to his advantage (and to Cindy's delight). The glimpses of Pine Ridge have me hungry for more of this world. This will not be my last story in this universe!
I really enjoyed reading this! I'll be honest that the cover kinda turned me off, but I think I saw this shared in a TikTok without the cover so I decided to just go for it and I'm glad I did. The MMC was really sweet, and I loved both the romance aspect as well as reading his story moving to Pine Ridge and getting used to living with/around humans and other monsters. Unlike most romances, the MMC point of views weren't just focused on the FMC which I really appreciated because I loved his story.
It was a cute story to read. It is kind of a slow burn but it picks up fast. In the last two chapters, it was kind of rushed and seriously Cindy’s parents are the worst!! I would have cut them out of my life a long tine ago!!!!!
Lennox is such a sweet character and Cindy is sensual that them being together is like the perfect fit!
Side note: almost every character have kind of the same name or very similar names it’s so confusing that even the author makes mistake.
This book was both sweet and spicy! Our sweet, shy mothman Lennox falls (literally) at the feet of confident bombshell Cindy, and sparks fly!
Lennox and Cindy are so cute together, and I absolutely loved seeing how they uplifted and encouraged each other to grow and become their best selves - in addition to being completely feral for each other.
This was my introduction to the Pine Ridge universe, but will hardly be my last visit!
I absolutely adored this read so much I made myself not binge read it because I didn’t want Lennox and Cindy’s story to end. Mothman Lennox is everything you could want from your monster lover. He can do ALL the things you like and things you didn’t know you liked. He’s such a.sweetheart too and the way he loves Cindy through it all without pressuring her is swoon-worthy.
I thought this was really cute! Its a sweet romance between a monster and a sex driven heroine. They learn a lot about themselves, families, and create healthy boundaries. it also does have its spicy spots, without making it a full erotica. this was my first book by this author and I'm very excited to read more!
The only thing I don't like is that it ends at 89%.
The blurb says Cindy is tired of hook ups and fun flings and is looking for her person so I was expecting the sleeping around to be her background. I wasn’t expecting her to be having sex in her introduction chapter.
[ “Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Oh my God! Ohhhh. God!" Will this loser please finish already? Why do I keep doing this? "Oh, yeah, baby! Who's your daddy?" I'm glad I'm facing away from Frat Boy. Rolling my eyes while he's clearly giving his best pornstar-wannabe performance is probably rude. I don't answer his question. It's a turn-off. Hell, this whole night has become a turn-off. It occurs to me that I'm doing a disservice to my fellow women. This guy is probably nineteen or twenty (old enough to be at the Pine Ridge campus of NYU), and he still doesn't know how to have good sex. He's rushed and clumsy, but he's not giving off "this is my first time" vibes. If I hadn't been soaking through my black fishnets since the moment I walked into the party a couple of hours ago, his attempts at athletic fucking would be mildly uncomfortable. And he thinks outdated phrases like "Who's your daddy?" sound hot? I am doing nothing for my fellow women in terms of training this bozo. That is probably rude-on my part. ]
Not for me. ✌🏻

The steamy scenes were on point, the mothman genitalia was super fun and different. My biggest complaints are that to be honest this book probably could have been like 100 pages shorter. I didn't read it when it was a Vella, but in the middle it just felt a little repetitive for me. Overall it was fun and spicy, with a bunch of mushy sweetness but yeah. Also the similar names got a little taxing. Georgia and Georgie, the three C's- Cindy, Cathy, and Claire...even the author got confused at one point and used the wrong name (Cathy instead of Cindy). It's just a little overwhelming for so many side characters to have names so similar, kind of makes them blend into the background more than they already do as supporting roles.
Again, overall I liked the story and the characters and I've enjoyed other stories in this universe but this one kind of felt a little more disconnected from the town and more drawn out than necessary, although the spice was spicing! 5/5 🌶
It's a sweet and a nice tale. I liked the read, it's cute. Lennox is sincere and respectful. He treats Cindy well. I've noticed that the romances with mothmen usually tend to be to my liking because of the way the protagonst is portrayed, and the way they relate to their romantic interest: they usually depict a shy, polite and gentle hero who is not possessive or dominating towards the heroine. If to want to find any fault, one could say that some of the writing style appears cheesy and some expressions awkward. Plot-wise, it's not super eventful, esp when they are stuck at Cindy's home during a blizzard. The book is suprisingly lengthy, unlike many other monster romances. I started to be a little bored after the blizzard ended and dnfed at around 50% for now but that's just due to my own impatience. Nothing wrong with the plot imho, at least not the first half what I read. Might continue at some later time.
Lennox who is a rare mothman is having a problematic time. He realised he has to make a change in order to survive. He decides to move to a supposedly paranormal and monster friendly town but he is really afraid as he has not mingled with others and his only family, brother will not come with him. Fearfully he makes his way under cover to Pine Ridge. Cindy is lonely, highly sexed, promiscuous and does not suffer fools gladly. Cindy comes to Lennox’s rescue. A very sexually charged and explicit story of finding love and oneself.
Heat levels were very nice, but it felt like the author was so determined to leave no end loose that she dragged the book on longer than needed. The couple is hot, cute, fun and adorable together, but I ended up (the last 15% or so) checking how much longer it was before the book ended. (None of the dragging on was bad, it just... dragged on.)
Also, if you don't have any exp with the world, don't worry, the author will INSIST on introducing you to nearly every single character from previous books. Seriously, this was Game of Thrones show level of name tracking, wtf. Oh, and don't try to keep them all straight, cause the author decided to have names like Georgie AND Georgia.
DNF @47% Halfway through, they only just done the deed, but they in love and biz. Which wouldn’t be horrible if I was actually close to the end of the book bc now all I can think is the last half of the book is just filler nonsense. I don’t have time for that.
Also is was actually cringe when the FMC called the MMC “baby” 😬
I loved this book. All the great spice and fluffy love story to go with it. We have a mothman who is scared of the world but loses his home so he moves to monster friendly pine ridge. She is a human female who is finishing college and doesn’t know what she wants to do next. But really enjoys the self care plan most nights I thoroughly enjoyed myself finished in a day
Incredible world build, wonderful characters and fun dialog and interactions. Enjoyed Cindy and Lennox's journey of self-discovery and love. Fun world and such a full, rounded group of characters in the town of monsters and humans. Stand alone but the rest of the stories in the Pine Ridge world will be fun to explore also, I assume.
Really wholesome and sweet. I appreciated that there was no third act breakup. Writing was pretty good. The sex was meh. Enjoyed the unique anatomy but I had a hard time feeling the chemistry between these two. The book was 200 pages too long and I need a book about Lennox brother, I found him to be more interesting than Lennox.
This monster has you eating out of the palm of his hand. He is so sweet and loving that you just couldn't help but want to take care of him. Then you add Cindy with her sassy and sweet heart that takes care of everyone and don't know what to do with herself.
Ugg can you say sweet as pie!! I loved Lennox!! Our sweet fluffy winged mothman. I couldn't put it down. I loved Cindy she wasn't perfect but she was perfect for him.
3.5 ⭐️ Lennox is a super sensitive virgin and Cindy is... the opposite. Their connection is adorable and the spice is 🔥🔥🔥. The book is a little too long and so many details are provided that just seem to drag out the story. If you're really into super detailed world building, you'll love this book.
Sometimes this felt like it dragged a little with no significant plot, but it was so cute and sweet I couldn't be mad at it. It's a monster meet cute without a 3rd act breakup, no real angst. A soothing read for monster lovers who want love and spice without stress.
Cute story and idea. I love Lennox. Super long, probably didn't need to be as long as it is. Also, some parts could use a reread by author or editor. Some parts were worded weirdly and some parts they were sitting then standing with no transition.
Love a good mothman story! Lennox was super adorable and the vibe was very cozy. I appreciate the world building. Can’t wait to read more from the series :)
