Summary w/ themes: A lizard, Anthony, is looking for a new place to live at the zoo because he is lonely. He has met many animals, and when he finds the polar bear, he thinks things will end the same way, until the polar bear helps keep him warm in his fur. This book has themes of accepting people for who they are, and that we can become friends with anyone.
Use for future classroom: This could be a fun book to read leading up to a trip to the zoo, even though the students will not see lizards and polar bears together. It could also be good for the first day of school to promote new friendships.
Thoughts of book: This book got better as it went on. At the end of the book there is a section that tells us facts about polar bears and bearded dragons (the two main characters) and I enjoyed that a lot. I also like the message the book tells us at the end.
