The death curse has fallen. The demons and angels have invaded the Earth. They plan to rule over humanity, but which side will win and can the people of Earth do anything to stop them?
Beelzebub and the demons are too powerful to be stopped.
Godfrey and the angels have an ancient weapon that can kill with a thought.
The humans have pluck. Um, that might not get it done.
In a magical war, conventional weapons are all but pointless, so all that stands between humanity and total annihilation is a handful of people with supernatural abilities - shifters and wizards, plus Anastasia Aaronson who just might be a demigod. Together they must find a way to fight back, a way to stop the false gods from taking over everything and everyone.
Luck is not on their side, neither is fate, but sometimes you just have to wing it and hope for the best.
Let's start this off with an invitation to get some FREE books. No, you didn't read that wrong, we are talking about multiple free books. I love giving away free books because once people delve into the fast-paced mystery thrills I write, they go on to buy lots more.
When I wrote my first novel, Paranormal Nonsense, I was a Captain in the British Army. I would love to pretend that I had one of those careers that has to be redacted and in general denied by the government and that I have had to change my name and continually move about because I am still on the watch list in several countries. In truth though, I started out as a mechanic. Not like Jason Statham, sneaking about as a contract killer, more like one of those greasy gits that charge you a fortune and keep your car for a week when all you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.
At school, I was mostly disinterested in every subject except creative writing, for which, at age ten, I won my first award. However, calling it my first award suggests that there have been more, which there have not. Accolades may come but, in the meantime, I am having a ball writing mystery stories and crime thrillers and will claim to have more than a hundred books forming an unruly queue in my head as they clamor to get out.
Now retired from the military, I live in the south-east corner of England with a pair of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, I doubt I will ever leave, the beer is just too good.
Wow! What an ending for the ultimate instalment of this awesome series. The Angels and Demons are fighting to take over the ruling of earth but the Humans have been in training and won’t take it lying down . Who will win in this epic non stop action battle? A truly superbly devised series with great structure , the characters are out of this world ( excuse the pun) the action is fluently written and the descriptions are so immersive , it’s edge of your seat suspenseful , and certainly pulls no punches .
The final battle for Earth. So…I’ve enjoyed this series. There’s some interesting characters and I got caught up in the story.
This is the last book. Book 11. Now this is a new author to me and honestly I fully intended to move on to check out his other books but…
The recapping, it drove me nuts. Now it doesn’t seem to have bothered anyone else. The reviews are all 5* but why in book 11 is the author recapping yet again basic stuff.
Demons could form it in their hands and fire it at will, blasting everything around them if they so chose, but only three beings were known to be able to create a constant stream of it: Beelzebub, his brother Godfrey, and human female known as Anastasia Aaronson.
Nothing was known about her past other than she lost her memory when a piece of shrapnel tore into her brain. She also lost her left foot and left hand, all three injuries the result of a single incident when a soldier under her command stepped on a landmine.
Is it just me? Well yes it appears to be but if you pick up book 11 in an 11 book series it’s your fault if you don’t know everything. Do we really need a recap of basic stuff in every book. Anastasia has appeared/been the main character in the last 7/8 books. Do we really need a basic introduction in every book.
Death Curse: The Final Battle is a great ending for this series! The story has a lot of action, and epic battles, and I kept cheering for the good guys. It was great to read how with limited resources, humans fought together and were able to make it. Great entertainment! I thank Mr. Higgs and his publisher for this ARC.
Unexpected but brilliant ending, so clever! I’m going to miss this series. I loved every word and the characters are imprinted on me. I’m saddened the series has come to an end. Well done Steve Higgs for all the hours of enjoyment. I love all your series and look forward to whatever you write next.
This series has phenomenal. All the characters and the pieces have come together in a surprising conclusion. Who will speak for the human race? Beelzebub? Godfrey, the leader of the angels? Will magic triumph or fail miserably? If you're following the series, you will not be disappointed. Moves fast. You won't be disappointed.
What an ending to this series. Anastasia. I felt the humans had to win in the end, but how ? Thanks Steve it was a great read. Loved all the characters , Anastasia, Daniel, Otto, Zack, Katia, Ayla, there’s magic in the end.
As much as I hate to see the series end, Higgs handles closure with aplomb. I'll miss the characters, each and every Supernatural, Angel and Demon alike! Well done Mr. Higgs, well done!
Great characters, storyline, and unexpected twists. Just wow, wrapped it up. I will read this series again in a few years or so. So good. Thank you Steve Higgs.
I have read the entire series of these books and loved every second of them, the characters and story line are amazing. Thank you Steve Higgs (also read the Albert culinary books and blue moon books all fab, now off to find another Steve Higgs series)
say it ain't so... dear Mr.Higgs... felt like you left an opening for some more from Anna,Otto and the gang! loved the books with lively, likable and exciting depth... great fun read, hard to put down...
A great finish, which again leaves an opening for more. The whole series has overtones of America today with the oversized leader fighting the old man and the innocents trying to get rid of both. Strong characters that you get to care about.
I read each book back to back. In doing so felt the story came to life. Staying up late to finish a career or the book. This is a great read, captivating from book 1 all the way to the end of book 11.
What an enjoyable set of books to read! Thinking what an awesome series these books would be to watch. Steve Higgs did a great job creating the characters and the storyline!
Fantastic ending to a fantastic series! Of all the various series this author has written and ongoing, this one, in my opinion, is hands down the absolute best of them all!
Absolutely brilliant storyline. The last book in an amazing series. The end fight will keep you glued to the book it's action is gripping. I totally recommend reading it.
