It's time to get high...on science.

Rory O’Sullivan—brilliant botanist, druid dropout, and weed connoisseur—is learning a lot during his magical hazmat internship…maybe too much. He helps his boss, Dodge, clean up the worst messes the supernatural community can throw at them, but his off hours are reserved for working in his greenhouse, researching rare magical plants, and getting as high as (in)humanly possible.

Hey, don’t judge—he’s stressed, okay?

Maybe Dodge had a point about being more careful with his experiments, though. When a series of mishaps leads to the creation of a magical monster like nothing the world has ever seen, Rory has no choice but to hunt his creation down before it blows their secret supernatural society out of the shadows.

There’s just one problem—the monster might already be too smart for its creator to outwit.

Fans of Ilona Andrews and Jim Butcher will love this new urban fantasy series with its crime-solving, science-loving heroine, her unstable shifter sidekick, and her monstrous menagerie.

A Fun Halloween Treat!

Fun Halloween story! I've read very few truly good homages to Frankenstein, but this one hits the spot. I love Cath Lauria's books

good short story

Interesting seeing Rory’s perspective. He is a bit petulant and seemingly clueless but that is believable for an intern and slacker
