Sienna Frost, a sharp and ambitious acquisitions liaison for a luxury Los Angeles hotel chain, arrives on the snowy streets of Prague just before Christmas with a mission: to oversee the acquisition and modernization of the historic Novák Hotel in Prague’s Old Town. If the sale goes through, it would mean a huge promotion for her.
Her professional resolve is steadfast until she meets the enigmatic Ondřej Novák–the middle Novak sibling fiercely determined to protect his family's legacy. Meaning, he is hell-bent against selling his family’s hotel to Sienna or anyone.
As Sienna navigates the intricacies of the hotel's past, she is drawn into the world of the Novák siblings – Ondřej, the passionate protector; Pavel, the pragmatic businessman; and Dominika, the cultural heart. Each sibling brings their own dreams and dilemmas, painting a vivid picture of a family at a crossroads.
Despite his resolve that Sienna is the enemy here, Ondřej can’t help but find himself drawn to her. As they explore the cozy pubs of Old Town and the magic of the famous Christmas market, the two find they share more than just a love of preserving history and legacy.
But when a rival investor swoops in and threatens the sale with a better offer, Sienna finds herself caught in a snowy web of corporate politics, family feuds, and her conflicted heart. Can she find a way to save the Novák Hotel and protect her heart—without losing her job in the process?
This was the second book in this series I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sienna is sent to negotiate a deal to add an old Prague hotel to her company’s boutique chain. The family who owns it, two brothers and a sister, have to sell for financial reasons but can’t agree on it. Sienna gets more than she bargained for with one of the brothers and ultimately comes up with a new idea that makes everyone happy.
A nice snowy, cozy romance. The protagonist felt believable and smart. There were some really weird proofreading errors in my version ("hotel sweet" being my favorite). Was the problem wrapped up a little too neatly? Sure, but no one reads these romances for their business acumen.
The author is a pretty good writer but whoever edited it should be fired. Distracting to have misspelled or incorrect words. It interrupts the story as you figure out what the correct word is.
