It’s been several years since the battle with the San Mateo wolves. Jade and Bevin have graduated from medical school and have full-time jobs at a local hospital. Safe from homework and rogue wolves, Jade is now pregnant with the next generation of rugrats. Size of a house, all Jade wants now is to survive to the new year.
A surprise visit from her family is just what she needs for the holidays. Between the wanted visitors and the unknown one, the surprises and gifts keep piling up.
3.5 stars! A short quick extension of 'The Jade Stone Chronicles' -- it kinda cover a little of what's going on in each wereanimal's (The pack) lives --- then moving on to a new series starring Pebble, I think. Recommended series!
I’m obviously a fan since I read all 6.5 books of the series. I just needed more Jade and Brooke. The stage was set perfectly! There’s no other couple that hated each other so much!! Their enemies to lovers relationship was so beautifully gradual ugh it could have been sooooo good! Alas, it’s not meant to be as I hoped.
At first I was feeling disappointed when I saw the length of the book, its short.
But as I read the book it made up for the short read. I am really happy with the outcome of the story. All my questions from the rest of the series, that had me baffled and wanting more, was answered and that really warms my heart. I would have liked a more in detail read of Brooke's story not just the short version that was told, and also maybe some things told from her perspective about the rest of the series where she is concerned. *wink wink*
Thank you Huckleberry Rahr for another great book. I hope for more great reads from you.
This series is one of my favorites, that I can read over and over again. My current count is 6 times.
The only reason this got knocked a star is because I feel mildly cheated. This novella does wrapped p up some open ends that the last book left us with. That being said I think Jade was cheated by at least one full length book. I wanted to read through the love development, through med school, to this culmination of HEA. This is still a good read, just book dragon frustration on my end.
