About the author

Lesley Sanderson spends her days writing in coffee shops in Kings Cross where she lives and also works as a librarian in a multicultural school. She has lived and worked in Paris and speaks four languages.

She attended the Curtis Brown Creative novel writing course in 2015/6, and in 2017 was shortlisted for the Lucy Cavendish fiction prize.

Lesley discovered Patricia Highsmith as a teenager and has since been hooked on psychological thrillers. She is particularly interested in the psychology of female relationships.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I love dual timelines so I was happy when I learned that this book had that. I was immediately drawn in to the story. Felicity and Alex get married, then hours after they say their vows, he’s dead. Was his death accidental, or intentional? That caught my attention right away.
As I was reading, I began to suspect some things we thought to be true were in fact not. I don’t want to spoil it, but I will say some of what I was guessing turned out to be correct. There were a couple of twists that I did not see coming. There were parts where I gasped out loud in shock. (My coworkers were laughing at me).
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Again, thank you for allowing me to read and review this.

Not bad - definetely worth a read.

New author to me and i have to say, i did enjoy the book, even though i guessed the ending pretty much straight away. it still caught my attention and i read it in a couple of days.

The main characters were likeable and the narator did a great job at distinguishing each of them (i read this book via audible).

Will definetely read more books from this author,
