C. G. Cooper is the USA TODAY and AMAZON BESTSELLING author of the CORPS JUSTICE novels, several spinoffs and a growing number of stand-alone novels.
One of his novels, CHAIN OF COMMAND, won the 2020 James Webb Award presented by the Marine Heritage Foundation for its portrayal of the United States Marine Corps in fiction. Cooper doesn't chase awards, but this one was special.
Cooper grew up on a steady diet of Dungeons & Dragons and the travels of a Navy family.
Upon graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Foreign Affairs, Cooper was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and went on to serve six years as an infantry officer. C. G. Cooper's final Marine duty station was in Nashville, Tennessee, where he fell in love with the laid-back lifestyle of Music City.
His first published novel, BACK TO WAR, came out of a desire to link back to his time in the Marine Corps. That novel, written as a side project, spawned many follow-on novels, several exciting spinoffs, and catapulted Cooper's career.
Cooper lives just south of Nashville with his wife, three children, and their German shorthaired pointer, Liberty, who's become a popular character in the Corps Justice novels.
President Zimmer needs Cal to look for a friend from the past Uncle Max, who is missing after the death of a member of his cabinet. This leads Top , Gaucho and Neil to Cuba and the Hammer gets involved as well. Great Readand can’t wait for the next book
This has been a great series throughout. This book is probably the best. It keeps the reader going and looking for more. The characters are all believable and very interesting. The series should be read in order to get a better understanding of the main characters. I can’t wait for the next book.
Trying to get off this roller coaster made me trip and fall. And,the coaster wasn’t going all that fast. Cooper pumps out one of his better twists and turns fictional roller coaster in KILL CHAIN. I lost count of them all. I even lost count of all the cast and characters Cooper dug up and introduced his readers to. It was fun. But that step off his coaster 2yere I fell still hurts.
Cal is assigned by the President to hunt down one of his college friends who was doing undercover work close to Cuba. Cal picks up Top and Gaucho along the way and they are attacked by drones and captured by the Cubans. They get wrapped up in Cuban politics without a play card. Great reading with fast paced ever changing scenery,
Number 22 was just as fast-paced and exciting as those I've read before. Strong characters with an unusual storyline make for entertaining reading. Great stuff.
Cal Stokes appears in Cuba. And the power struggle is on between the factions that want to control Cuba. A fast moving story, full of death and deceit. C. G. Cooper fills the story with lots of encounters, surprising twists as only he can do. Enjoy your time in Cuba!
Righteous, great to have another book to read however, I read it to fast. Still the author did a great job. Hope Daniel is back in the next one. 22 books and still as interesting as the first. Thank you.
Yet another amazing adventure with my new favorite character. His ability to keep the tale going and the interest in the lives of Stokes and the crew growing is an art form. Thank you Mr. Cooper !
I really didn’t like it. No clear plot, characters all over the place. A guy in a max security prision running something, Are you out to lunch? A Navy Seal trying to kill the President? What is wrong with Cooper, he must’ve written this on drugs.
Fast paced as always for the Corps of Justice and has great plot and characters. Easy to read and not put down until finished. But scary in how it seems to mirror some of the actual events happening in the world today, especially in politics.
How Mr. Cooper got the idea to involve the Cuba problem with an internal white house escapade and an old foe who was locked up in a maximum security prison, I guess I can't figure that out. But it does make for great reading.
One of the most enjoyable Corps Justice books. It is well done in bringing in our neighbor nation such as Cuba into the script. Since I am reading these books in order, it is refreshing not having to read the description of each character over and over again.
Loved island settings and open water adventure. Drone radius up and coming, very realistic. Love Marine interactions true e spiritdecorps... Radicalism environment or religion seems common p!ace in today's World.
Pretty much non stop keeping the pages turning. I had a hard time putting this one down. Also, IMO,one of the best and smoothest epilogue transition s to date.
Another winner in the Corps series, it has been awhile since the last book in the series. This picks up where the last one left off and has a few surprises.
