Wicked is the third book in the Once Upon a Villain Series by Bianca Cole. This story is a dark forbidden mafia romance story with dark themes and certain subjects that may upset the reader. It has no cliffhanger, a happily ever after ending, and can be read as a standalone.
TROPES: ~stepfather x stepdaughter ~age gap ~kinky
Soooo I really wanted to enjoy this book, but I just couldn't. The storyline is something I adore: forbidden romance and mafia! I just couldn't get into it though. I wish I could have!
This is the third book in Bianca Cole's Once Upon A Villain series. It's about Ella and Remy, who are stepfather and stepdaughter. Remy is basically a bully from the very start because he's really attracted to Ella. It's dark and dirty, y'all. He sends her to get auctioned off but gets horribly jealous so he gets her back. This whole book is full of us and downs! But don't worry, there's a HEA!
SAFETY: Virgin/celibate?: virgin heroine OM/OW?: kinda but nothing serious Cheating/sharing?: yes, Remy is "married" to Ella's dad! HEA? yes!
Great cover but seriously a bad book. I found it tedious boring and not worth my time. Find the idea that somebody got whipped on their back ran for their lives and then decided they should screw like crazy ,no. I found it unbelievable and I really could have care less about the characters. 2 stars because of a good cover and the fact that I didn't have to pay to read it I read it on kindle unlimited. Run from this book! Shirley
I came off off one prior that I didn’t love so much, but wow I got pulled into the story! It was a forbidden romance for sure but one rooting for, and spicy…. Very spicy and did have dub con, but this one was very much along the right lines (spicy!) and just loved it! Along with the spice though the story line was so intense and really enjoyed!
This was pretty great. I really loved how it begins with all of the men in the family just hating on her.. it was ridiculous lol.. they all wanted her so they were just elementary school playground mean to her
When he falls however.. he certainly falls...
I liked the other characters from other books poppin through.... I enjoy this growing love story that needed a touch of violence to really take off.. always a goodie.
Oh Daddy Remy 🔥🔥 this book is so yummy, there is dark, and there is most definitely taboo. Read the trigger warnings. But beyond that, curl up with a beverage and enjoy. I devoured this in about 24 hours. Love love love!!!
This book is well written but probably just not for me, Remy I absolutely hate him and he makes me irrationally angry lol had to DNF before I launched my kindle across the room
I read the trigger warnings and it was nothing too OTT so I gave it a try and it just wasn't for me.
Remy Morrone is a mobster and has just had a whirlwind week long affair with Ella’s mom that leads to a spur of the moment marriage. Suddenly Ella finds herself with a dangerous stepdad, five step-siblings, forced into a dangerous and constricted world she never wanted to be a part of and suddenly battling lustful feelings for her forbidden step-dad.
If you like A-hole alphas with a wide and long cruel streak, this might be more your style.
The hot than extremely cold treatment of the Hero didn’t work for me. There was something too convincing about his low opinion of the heroine that lasted too long in my book. It's one thing to distance yourself when you’re in private but too many times he humiliated, insulted and verbally abused the heroine in front of his family that it made me cringe every time. Remy toyed with Ella and not only enjoyed bringing her to tears but he was never remorseful about his treatment of her. Even after he claims her, his change in attitude comes a little too late for me.
It was that attitude that I just could not get over. In the end he did not redeem himself enough. I definitely needed the H to respect and protect the h. Remy sat back and let his own sons mistreat Ella, even joining in to break her and it was too much. Where was his possessiveness? His need to protect her from other people? I've read A-hole/jerk heroes before so I was expecting the "Only I can treat her like that" mentality but Remy didn't fall into that mold.
Then there's Ella. She could be a candidate for Stockholm Syndrome. She fixated on Remy and although she’s described as submissive, a lot of what she puts up with showed her more in the role of a doormat. Which sucks because she had potential. It just never went anywhere. I kept hoping we would see her steel her backbone and stand up for herself, beat Remy at his own cruel game, at least once! Instead she crumbles under the pressure and just excuses all of Remy’s behavior and lets lust wipe the slate clean every single time.
Overall, the kink and taboo aspect of the story are definitely present and although it didn’t do anything for me, other’s might enjoy it more. The lack of character growth was a little too lacking to keep the storyline on even footing for me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Ella’s father worked in the underworld to enable her mother, Erin to have all the money she wanted. She’s a true gold digger. When he is killed on Ella’s 11th birthday, her life is never the same. She writes and successfully sells her first self published novel in her late teens, but her mother ensures that she’s in charge of the bank account which results in Ella having to get a part time job to keep enough money coming in. Then one night Ella comes home and is informed by her mother that they are moving from Washington to Chicago as she has had a whirlwind romance and married a very rich man. To Ella’s horror, her very rich stepfather is the retired don of a mafioso family. Two of her stepbrothers are still living at home, and both Leo and Luca, give her the creeps. Ella is told that she won’t be writing a second novel as a marriage will be arranged for her as she is now part of their family and her purpose is to simply to be a good wife. Remy is purposely cruel to Ella to distract himself from the simple fact that he has been enamoured by Ella ever since they first met. But he enjoys saying hurtful things to Ella to see her get flustered and to help him fight his attraction to her . Despite his treatment of her, Ella finds herself really attracted to her horrible stepfather. She can’t understand how she can want someone so hurtful towards her, but their chemistry is getting harder to resist. Remy decides to put Ella up for auction so that he can get her out of his house asap. But he finds himself jealous of every possible beau/buyer. Ella is furious about the whole situation as she sees it as being sold off, but her mothers marriage into the Morrone family has forever tied Ella into the mafia life despite her hate of it, and Erin is never around to plead with. Alex Vasili had been introduced to Ella at the Auction meet ups and straight away the Russian heir is very attracted to Ella. She finds him easy to talk to but there’s no chemistry between them. When Remy and Ella finally give in to their feelings, Ella realises that she enjoys the fact that he is an older man, her step-‘daddy’. Their relationship is electric but Ella still has to go…. This was a thoroughly good read. They have so much to tackle. Remy is absolutely diabolical in the way he treats Ella, but their chemistry is still too strong to fight. This causes numerous problems for the Morrone family and opens Ella’s eyes to the mafiosa lifestyle. Excellent.
I own several books by Bianca Cole, but sadly this is only the second book I have read by this author. I will need to rectify that soon as I am a huge fan of dark romance and I have definitely loved both books I have read by her. While this book is a little lengthy I think it was worth every minute I spent reading Wicked. I really liked Remy and Ella. Yes, there was a huge age gap, but these two were perfect for one another. Afterall, age is just a number and love follows no rules. There were some wonderful supporting characters that were a great addition to the story. Bianca created an original and intriguing plot for the third book in her Once Upon A Villain Series. There was a lot of action and excitement to be found between the pages. Bianca made sure there were more than enough hot sexy scenes to keep her readers entertained. I am super excited to read more books by Bianca in the near future.
Ella had her world turned upside down when her mother suddenly married a man without warning. The first time Ella met Remy it was as his step-daughter, but that didn't stop the intense chemistry that was crackling between the two of them. The only way Remy could keep himself from acting on his feeling was to treat Ella poorly. Not even that could prevent the continued feelings Ella harbored for her step-father. Upon her mothers death Remy decided the best way to put an end to his inappropriate feelings was to add her to the bridal auction list. That way he could make sure Ella was married and protected by another mafia family. But, then he changed his mind and made plans to keep Ella for himself. How will Remy's children react to a relationship between him and Ella? Is Alex going to back off once he learns that Ella has been removed from the auction and his plans to marry her have been squashed?

This is Wicked by Bianca Cole. A Dark Forbidden Mafia Romance this is Book 3 of Once Upon A Villain. This is Remy and Ella's story an age-gap romance. Ella's father was murdered when she was eleven on her birthday. Her father worked for criminals doing dangerous work. Ella's mother only thought of herself and liked to spend money and that is why Ella's father did this type of work. Now he's gone and he was the only one who loved and cared about Ella. When Ella was twenty-one her mother Erin met a man named Remy Morrone and eloped. Erin and her daughter Ella move into the Morrone Mansion where Remy and his two youngest sons Leo and Luca live. During dinner one night Ella tells them she enjoys reading and that she has written one novel and is working on her second. Remy tells Ella that Morrone women don't write books they are to be a good wife to their future husband. Ella finds that the Morrone's are criminals as well. What has Erin her mother gotten her into ? Ella's mother enjoys spending Remy's money so she takes trips often leaving Ella at home. Remy and Ella both have thoughts of each other that they shouldn't be having. The way Remy looks at Ella. His sons even notice and they would like a chance with their stepsister. This is a step-daddy, age-gap romance. Full of desire, hot chemistry, and excitement.

This is a five star book that I knocked a star because Remy was involved with human trafficking. I thought that was a bad choice on the author's part. I know she was trying to show how much of a "bad guy" Remy was, but it soured the rest of the book.
Other than that, I loved it. It stuck with the Cinderella theme quite well--more than I was expecting, down to the horrible stepbrothers instead of stepsisters. Remy acted like the evil stepmother character but only because he wanted Ella out of there as he was waaaaay tempted with her. Yeah, that didn't end up going so well. We have a "Prince Charming" character, who is not quite so charming after all. It was the perfect, "Yeah, my man is bad, but look how much worse he could be," which is pretty much the cornerstone of dark romances.
The plot actually moved pretty well. It was a decent mix of suspense, chemistry, and spice. This is quite a LARGE age gap so be warned if the "Daddy" stuff is not your thing. There are also quite a few triggers, but the author gave a list of them. You can find them and the list for the other books in the series here on the author's website. Make sure you understand what you're getting into because wow-ie was that a lot.
Ella’s father died on her birthday when she was eleven. Her mother was always desperate for money. She finally got the big pay check when she married Remi. His family was head of big criminal family in Chicago. She made Ella come live with this criminal family. Instantly Ella and Remy were attracted to each other. Now there is a big ang3 gap between these two almost 20+ years. Unfortunately Ella’s mom died and suddenly Remy and Ella were free to be together. This book is very spicy. It was labeled as a dark book. The dark issues are discussed but not shown on the pages. If you are sensitive please check the warnings. The relationship between these two was very one sided and many times I felt bad for Ella but this is the relationship she chose. This was a great book with some action and suspense. Since there are 5 children in the Morrone family I expect that there will be more books about the sons Luca and Leo.
I loved the idea of a new twisted Beauty and the Beast retelling BUT this book was SO repetitive and dragged on. I almost DNF’d it three times. I just held on hoping something would happen. I wish there had been more action toward the beginning of the book, we are always promised these mobster romances but the authors and characters always seem like they forget they’re actually in the mob as nothing ever happens related to it except the last 5-10% of the book.
This book was spicy—which I love—BUT all the scenes were the same. I couldn’t listen to him say no he can’t and her to say “ daddy” one more time and him jump on her. I don’t mind that kink or the age gap but this just was all the same love scene multiple times. There were maybe two that were super spicy and different but the rest, meh.
If you’re looking for just lots of spice that is repetitive and not unique and little to no plot and eh characters, this one’s for you.
The spice between Remy and Ella was chef’s kiss! It was hot and steamy, and kinky as hell. I loved her calling him Daddy! And the major age gap between them was just icing on the cake for me. Ella really surprised me with how forward and determined she was with telling Remy exactly what she wanted- him. And seeing him try to fight it and keep telling her “this is the only time” was funny as hell. There was so much sexual tension between them until they finally gave in. But I have to say he was certainly a grade a a$$hole towards her in the beginning. One of the things I enjoyed most was when Ella ran. She knew she wanted marriage and kids and to be loved and when Remy denied her all those things she left. Granted she ended up running into danger, but it was the exact wake up call Remy needed.
Ella was raised by a single mother because of her father's death on her 11th birthday. He was killed by criminals because of his own activities. Her mother is dependent of Ella for income when she starts publishing books she authors, until her mother marries Remy Morrone after knowing him a week. Her mother then drags Ella to the Morrone home to live. That is the first time Remy and his family meets his new wife and her daughter. Remy is instantly smitten with Ella, but resists until Ella's mother is murdered. These characters are interesting, well written, and compelling. The book has sizzle, steam, drama, action, a few twists and more. Solid read.

I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was well written. I loved the characters, they were all great and totally what they should have been. Remy was mean to Ella at the beginning and at times treated her very wrong, I got why he was doing it. To mask his true feelings. Poor Ella didn’t realise this thou and it really upset her. It was a good storyline and I loved reading it, I thought there might have been too much loving between Remy and Ella, I get they were making up for lost time. Loved the twist at the end though it was a bit predictable. I think Ella opening that gift from her Dad after all that time should had more of appearance in the actual storyline. Great ending loved it. Recommend.

After a near death experience with the big C Remy ends up marrying the first woman he has had a fun dalliance with that just so happens to be Ella's gold digging mother who couldn't care less that she has lived off her daughters book career that is just taking off to ship her off to live a mafia life sha has no clue about or what's in store for her. First impressions between Ella and Remy are off the charts. I wasn't to keen on him degrading her infront of family while sweet talking her in private and the fact that she just took it yet when things take a drastic turn with her mother, Remy's protective side comes out not only to Ella but to his family but could it already be too late. Took alittle longer to get into enjoying this book but by the end the two won my heart for a HEA.
Wicked is book three of the ‘Once Upon A Villain’ series and can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading from the start of the series as characters from previous books make an appearance. This is an extreme age-gap, dark, forbidden step-daddy / step daughter, Mafia romance. There are a few triggers and dark themes to consider so check these out.
Such another great read from Ms Cole, full of twists and turns, drama and excitement, red hot passion and forbidden desire. I literally could not put the book down and can’t wait for further instalments in this series.

Wicked is the third book in the Once Upon A Villain series and to say that this story has not one but two villains is saying something. Ella definitely needs saving but her fate seems tied to both her step-father and the man she thinks is her knight is shining armour. But as all women know men have both sides in them and these two men will have you guessing at times. This is a forbidden romance story that has a mix of mafia, step-father/step-daughter, danger, suspense, violence and darkness, even as Ella brings some light. I am mixed on this story but still found it to be entertaining.
I give this book more like 3.5 stars, but I round up always. Overall this was a fun book to read, it was intense and had a decent storyline for a lot of the book. However, this was one that had less plot and more smut. And the whole "Daddy" thing makes me cringe- I don't usually mind the step-taboo romance (it was in the blurb, after all) but bringing the element into the bedroom is a bit much. The book ebbed and flowed a bit much for me and I found myself skipping around to get to the point. Toward the end, it picked up and I did enjoy it overall.

In true form of Bianca's writing style another winning read set within her dark and heated Mafia romance world with the twist of the old fairytelling stories we grew up with as children. They aren't the genre of story everyone will enjoy because of certain tropes that sit within the overall plot such as the open intimidation that the lead male Remy subjects Ella too. But to stir within the readers a certain degree of emotional angst is partly what keeps you 'glued' to reading page after page, simply needing, requiring the next emotional rush.

The whole time I was reading this I was thinking this would be a perfect Daddy book to recommend to those who are into that trope. I, unfortunately for this book, am not a Daddy trope fan so I really struggled with one. The dialogue was definitely porn-cringey at times, but the storyline did hold my interest. Tropes in this one that some might enjoy: * Daddy * Taboo age gap (step dad) * Spitting * CNC * Spicy, spicy, spicy scenes.

Wow, this was some wicked book to read, the story was very taboo and the characters were really amazing. This story was about Ella and Remy, Ella witnessed her mum happy and remarried until her husband's enemy took her life, now Ella is wondering if she would be saved. Remy married and lost his wife who left a daughter behind and he has plans for her.

This book was reasonably well written but the absolute creep factor of a grandfather having a relationship with his 21-year-old stepdaughter was too much for me. I don't mind age gaps when the actual gap is a bit more reasonable, but a guy in his 50s going after a girl 30 years younger than him just emits major groomer vibes. I would definitely read the author again if the main characters were closer in age and one of them wasn't jailbait.

The most wicked book yet by Bianca! The first chapter rips your heart out so I easily learn to hate Ella’s mom. Yet the pièce de résistance is when Ella meets her new stepfather and her feelings are all kinds of wrong. I hate the way Remy treats Ella to hide his own feelings, but fate won’t be denied. The push and pull between the two culminates in one explosive scene that will have you believing that love makes everything right! Add in Remy’s enemy relentless need for revenge that will have you turning the pages to the last page!
3 stars because I finished it. Idk why. The author feels the need to repeat what is going on at the beginning of every chapter, and I'm pretty sure more than that in a few of the chapters that have more than one POV. Mfc also recommended a Colleen Hoover book (Verity) to her friend, and honestly, that's when I should have stopped reading. The smut was good, but not enough to stop me from deleting all this author's books off my tbr.
Wicked is s steamy taboo stepdaughter/stepfather Romance book. Check your triggers as these books are not for everyone. With that being said this has some amazing 🔥 scenes it and dirt talk that will get you thinking damn!!! There were times I noticed repeated sentences in the book, but overall, it did not take away from the book at all. Remmy and Ella start off with an unconventional start. Ella believes he hates her, but that's far from the truth. Remmy needs her out of his home before all things go to hell
