Halloween is approaching and the cats of Catton Strawless are in for a fur-right when a historian summons a purr evil spirit
Autumn is here and Loki, the loveable yet mischievous ghost cat, is living his best afterlife hanging out at the cat café and just generally causing chaos everywhere he goes.
But then cats start going missing and the police are powerless to find them. And a dark energy is clouding the skies, an ominous warning of a terrible fate for the stolen cats.
Fortunately for the catnapped kitties, Loki is on the case. Can he convince the other ghost cats to fight rather than run away? And can a cat named after the Norse god of trickery ever truly do something good?
Grab a ghost-shaped cookie and a pumpkin spice latte and join Loki on his very own adventure as he sets out to solve the mystery of the missing cats!
Purranormal Cativity is a novella that starts off at a jumble sale and follows the adventure of the ghost cat Loki as he tries to figure out where all the village cats are disappearing to as well as why.
The book doesn’t really allude to others in a series, but it doesn't feel complete at the same time. Loki lives in a household of both physical and ghost cats, but you have to figure out by clues who is who while some of the cats only seem to make a cameo with not much inclusion in the story. There is also a suggestion there is more to the story of Loki's human's boyfriend and ghostly cat encounters that isn't too elaborated on either.
Most of the characters that were of any consequence had individual personalities that were apart from others. And some had an individual personality that was just dumbed down to a motivation.
All in all it makes for a quick read that is less mystery and just a quick thriller more in tune with Ghostbusters meets up with 101 Dalmatians.
As a pet lover and feline friend (we have always had rescues, though none as clever as Loki) I am indeed loco for lovable Loki. A smart and funny ghost cat, she realizes someone local is stealing cats with a dark and nefarious purpose for them.
It is up to Loki to enlist feline support and save them before it is too late. An entertaining novella and an absolutely worthwhile read
Told by a dead cat, this story is cute and scary. There are dead cats in the cemetery, but lots of live cats in the small town. A woman finds a papyrus and a statue of Bastet at a garage sale. She decides to call forth the goddess on Halloween when the veil is lessened. Stealing cats and readying for the big night are her tasks. But when the dead cat realizes her deed, he helps others foil the deed. A cute and interesting read.
I really enjoyed this short story! It's such a cute, cozy, paranormal mystery. It's told from the perspective of a ghost cat, Loki. Cats are going missing, and no one seems to know why. Loki investigates since no one else is interested in doing so. I laughed and almost cried and just thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this story. I can't wait to read other stories in this series. I need more of Loki the cat!
