How can this be rated so high?! My 3 stars is barely a 3. There are a few thought provoking poems, but most are just trying to be profound. These are suppose to be the best too, so not impressed. Would like to see more diversity in subjects, as these are short and generally about how much one loves another. We get it. Will mention the artwork in this edition...(insert shifty eyes).

Next up for my poetry intake, I will reach for a classic...Whitman, Poe, or Dickinson. Have read two "newbies" and expected more. Need to refresh the palette before dining on the next course of new.

Every poem in this collection was well written. Each one has its own style of comfort. What I mean by that is you can make perceptions of the poems however you want. Page age 103, for example. “Love could be labeled as poison and we’d drink it anyways.” A reader could perceive the meaning as love is a risk worth taking or it could be perceived as love can lead us to no good. The poems are diverse and I think that one is a good example of what I mean.

I love the art pages that were in the book. It made it lively and beautiful. My favorite one is the page on 169. This one to me is so comforting. I could honestly stare at the page in full admiration. The style of the art is very lovely and warm. These are the type of pieces you would see in a museum.

I love the style of the book! I highly recommend reading it. It’s so perfect to read in the autumn or winter mornings, it’ll bring so much comfort.
