Though lacking much authentic Welsh blood, Kim Lawrence comes from English-Irish stock. She was born and brought up in North Wales. She returned there when she married, and her sons were both born on Anglesey, an island off the coast. Though not isolated, Anglesey is a little off the beaten track, but lively Dublin, which Kim loves, is only a short ferry ride away. Today they live on the farm her husband was brought up on. Welsh is the first language of many people in this area and Kim's husband and sons are all bilingual she is having a lot of fun, not to mention a few headaches, trying to learn the language! She is a keen gardener and cook and enjoys running often on the beach, as living on an island the sea is never very far away. She is usually accompanied by her Jack Russell, Sprout don't ask, it's long story!
With small children, the unsocial hours of nursing didn't look attractive so encouraged by a husband who thinks she can do anything she sets her mind to, Kim tried her hand at writing. Always a keen Mills & Boon reader, it seemed natural for her to write a romance novel. In 1995, she published her first novels and now she can't imagine doing anything else.
"The Sheikh's Impatient Virgin" is the story of Eva and Karim.
Too sweet for me!
Heroine finds out she's a princess, and to wed the notorious Sheikh hero. She devises a plan to make him think she's not pure, only to realize he does not care and is marrying her to appease his father. He has had a bad experience with hsi first marriage, and needs to wed in name only. They marry, and things get complicated!
Beta, understanding hero with a sassy, strong heroine. Minimal angst and an average love story. I wish we learned more about his sick daughter or his father- felt very rushed!
Conflicted feelings about this one. I thought Karim was a major jerk to Eva. He was so judgmental towards her (pretty much because he had unresolved feelings towards his deceased wife). Eva, I liked, but I wish that her profound attraction to Karim didn't make her such a tongue-tied punching bag.I don't mind sweet and meek heroines, but I think I prefer heroines who will stand up for themselves more than Eva did. I would have liked her to be a little more spunky and come back at Karim when he was being a tool towards her. I think I would have enjoyed this book more if there wasn't this emotional inequality in their relationship.
I could feel some significant sympathy for Karim in his situation, but I don't like when innocent people are used as a punching bag. Such was the case for Karim's treatment of Eva. She made it clear that she didn't want to be married any more than he did. He was the one who ended up at her place. I can't recall that he ever apologized for the misunderstanding even when he found out how he had ended up there.
The ending and their first time together were sweet, and I did like Karim's devotion to his daughter.
Eva a modern girl suddenly learns she is royal and must marry Sheikh Karim. She freaks out and makes him believe she has a wild past so she is not a suitable bride for him.
But Karim is a great hero. Even though he believes her instead of calling her a slut like you would expect from a HP he wants to protect her reputation. His relationship with his deceased ex-wife damaged him, made him determined to never open his heart again. He has many regrets and can't let the past go. His daughter whom he adores is sick and he will do anything to save her life.
Eva is the only woman to come along, challenge him and uncover his big secret. She is unconventional in that she speaks her mind, she is funny and a total chatterbox! She is perfect for him!
Great chemistry and really lovable characters. Also the cutest epilogue. Sometimes I love this author.
I had so much fun reading this book. Hero/heroine was perfect for each other. A dynamic couple who couldn’t stop bickering or loving. I loved that hero stayed true to his wedding vows for 8 years in his first marriage. I especially loved that he never slept with her and after all she did to him, he still loved her daughter as his own. Heroine was a firecracker and I loved their epilogue so much. Will definitely read this again.

Haven't really got the time to give a full review but will say that it was ok read and I did like it but it didn't wow me. I very much felt like I had read it all before but with different names and places etc.....Not sure I would want to go ahead and read it again.
I didn’t love this forced marriage story as much as everyone else. The ‘flame-haired’ heroine was annoying in that she questioned everything the Sheikh hero said, including the existence of the paparazzi and tabloid articles that were right in front of her face. Add in her ‘I love him’ inner monologues and impulsive insults, and I was done with this drama queen.
Hero was no better. He leapt to conclusions, slut-shamed on the flimsiest evidence and ignored her in public. I did enjoy him throwing all of her clothes off the balcony. They’re a matched set.

I really had high hopes with this book but was disappointed! loved the heroine she was very warm and forgiving but I found the hero to be extremely cold and closed off.I mean he never showed his true emotions throughout the book! I absolutely hated the scene where he danced with the OW leaving the heroine alone and vulnerable inspite of knowing that she needed his support!
This was a GREAT read ! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Eva, a long lost princess, is basically forced into marriage for the sake of peace between kingdoms. Karim, her husband is , however, hiding a secret that no-one knows about. A really good storyline, great characters and for me exceptionally enjoyable!
The Sheikh's Impatient Virgin was quite well written and an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the story. I loved the character's development, in particular, that of Eva. Kim Lawrence really has a way with words that really draw the readers and leave them wanting more.
Royalty is not one of my favorite tropes, much less sheikhs, so I went into this book with low expectations. Putting aside the sheikh factor, I still would not have loved it. Every scene seemed to be so drawn out, an exchange between the two characters that probably would have lasted five minutes would take that many pages to get through. A character would say something, and then one of them would be thinking thinking thinking and in my mind I pictured the other character just frozen in place waiting for the first character's internal monologue to end. And at one point, the heroine puts a small dog in the pocket of her coat and then forgets about him for pages and pages, while she walks and then gets in a car and argues with the hero and gets out of the car and I just can't imagine a dog lying quietly in a pocket for all that time and I worried that she would accidentally sit on it.
Set up against her will as a potential Arabian queen for the notorious Sheikh Karim, unworldly Eva has a plan to deter the desert king. She will convince him she's a modern, sexually experienced woman--and definitely "not" marriage material--even though she is really still a virgin. However, the next thing she knows, Eva's become a bride! And her new husband is having a startling effect on her.... She finds herself increasingly impatient; could it be that shy Eva is curious about what lies ahead in the sheikh's marriage bed?
i was bored though this had great potential as karim was one of those delicious heroes which i loved ! unfortunately, the story did not work for me. karim had never been in love wid his ex-wife. he did not marry her for love. so i dunt see why he was so affected by her pregnancy by another man. he learned it right on his wedding night! so he did not sleep wid her nor made any attachment to her. so why was he so affected!?
This was pretty good for a trashy romance novel. I finished it in one night because I couldn't sleep. The storyline is good and the smut isn't overwhelming...perfectly sexy without being over the top.
