John Peragine is an author of over fourteen books. The Secrets of the Twilight Djinn series was written as a bedtime story for his son Max to cope with medical issues he was facing as a little boy. John is a full-time ghostwriter who lives with his son, wife, and a menagerie of animals on his vineyard overlooking the Mississippi River.
From my 11yo son: "I just read the book Max and the Azura Kingdom, and here is my review. My favorite characters were the blue Dragon (Alger din or Algie). My favorite part was when Max and Algie bond and get through the next chapters (there is a lot of action), until. . . well, something happens with the crab and captain Jill. The challenges in the Citadel of Light made me feel like I was there, right in it with Max. I enjoyed meeting all the new creatures and settings, but mostly when Algie and Max sneak into the castle. . . because something neat happens there. I can’t tell you anymore, you’ll have to read it. I would recommend this book to kids who like fantasy and action around the age of nine to ten."
We received an advance reader copy of this book and the views and opinions are our own (we were not paid to leave a review but are a fan of the Max and the Spice Thieves series).
The adventure continues! Max and his friends are stuck inside of the Citadel of Light and this building seems intent on keeping them there. Max's book has new powers -- touching a blank page transports him into a memory that occurred within the tower. These memories revolve around his dad and his aunt, the Witch Queen, and the cruel tricks she would play on people. In order to escape the tower, the group will need to pass a few tests with clues taken from these memories.
Max and the Azura Kingdom also has dragons, crab people and more pirates! This book was so much fun and Captain Cinn will forever remain my favorite character.
I am thoroughly enjoying this fantasy series; the Azura Kingdom is my second favorite so far (I loooved the first book), and I'm excited for this story to continue.
I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Max and friends are back in a brand-new adventure. Continuing to journey within the Citadel of Light, they have to face the dangers of the challenges within which leads to the key to unlocking the doorway to the Azura Kingdom. Will they succeed? Read on and find out for yourself.
This was an amazing installment of the Twilight Djinn series. It is action-packed and full of the Fantasy of previous installments. If you are a fan of adventure and fantasy, then definitely check this book out wherever books and ebooks are sold at now. I read this back in September but am posting my review now.
I am still enthralled by the Saga that is Max's story. I still stand by my call that this is a family worthy story( think Percy Jackson and Harry Potter). We still get to see max deal with emotions and situations that can be relative to real life.
