This was a fun read about an ex-navy seal and a princess. Not something I'd normally read but I've never read a Virginia Kantra book I didn't like and this was no exception. The characters are well-fleshed out and their conversations felt "real." Not your normal "princess" story. Well-worth the read.
It certainly wasn't my cup of tea. There were some funny and down to earth moments but hardly anything appealed to me from the novel. I just didn't think it was all that well written.
Somewhat hard to get into in the beginning but it does get better. However, I got really tired of reading the phrase "Her chin lifted" on every other page. Also, Christina should have been more easy going instead of the cold or frigid personality that was given to her. It made her seem unreal sometimes.
Romance books are not my thing. My husband bought me a bunch thinking he was doing a good thing so I will read them but ... All things considered this wasn't a bad story. The plot was nothing unexpected. The characters were well written for the most part but a little more careful research would have not been wasted. If you like romance novels then I think you will probably enjoy this one.
