I don't often add cookbooks to my Goodreads collection but this one was really great. I have literally read it cover to cover by now and cooked several dishes. All very good.

I like that there is a real selection of something for everyone and all occassions here, simple meal ideas along with some recipes which may be more of a weekend project.

I think the recipes are Persian, as per her other books, in particular Persiana which was a real hit some time ago, you may have heard of it. The idea of this book was to create recipes with maximum flavour but without the need for hours spent over a hot stove or lots of (hard to find) ingredients. It reminds me of Turkish, Greek, Cyrpiot food, but also with an Indian influence. If these are flavours you like then perhaps give this book a go.

I look forward to trying more of these recipes (as does my husband!) and getting hold of more of her books. An excellent addition to my cookbook collection and I highly recommend it.

amazing and approachable

If you are new to cooking this style you may need to add to your pantry but other than that the recipes are super easy and even easier to do without having to do everything from scratch if you don’t have the time. I need to sit longer but I am probably buying the print copy too

An easy cookbook, which I really enjoyed.

The only thing I would add is extra spices as I sometimes felt some recipes lacked seasoning.

I really enjoyed some key elements like garlic oil & rose harissa, which made some of the dishes extremely flavorful.

We also enjoyed the easy eggplant recipes in the book.

There is no doubt that Sabrina is a talented chef & author.

Excited to try out her other cookbook - Persiana! 🥰

Probably 2.5, but I’m rounding down for boredom.
