I am a rock star junkie, I seek out books in the genre. I have enjoyed the Saints and Sinners series so far. I was not sure where this book would take me. I am all about second chances, but what we know about Roan, I was unsure if he could change or if Riot should take him back.

Roan is living the rock and roll lifestyle, and enjoying it to the fullest. But it is catching up with him. I like how his story is written; they learned from their pain. But will he change enough to win Riot back?

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Second Chance Rock Romance

This is another addition to the Saints and Sinners series and what a great second chance book for Roan and Riot. Roan has lived the rock and roll lifestyle to the fullest with drugs, alcohol and groupies to the detriment of his family. Will he ever be able to win Riot back after all he has done?

I love rock romances and this book has everything in it that I look for so, for me, this was a book that I highly recommend.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Tori Fox!

Broken Vows is the fifth book in the Saints & Sinners series and tells the story of Roan and Riot.

We finally have Roan and Riot's story!! I've been really looking forward to reading their story because their drama has been mentioned in the other books in Saints & Sinners series. I wanted to know what happened to Roan and Riot, and how their love story ended. I really enjoyed reading the first four books in the Saints & Sinners series, and I had some expectations for this book. But what I didn't expect, was this book being about addiction and alcohol/drug abuse. I'm really happy that Tori Fox decided to write about this, because a lot of people struggle with addiction.

Broken Vows is about Roan and Riot. They've been married, but are now divorced. The more you read, the more you get to know what really happened between them, and why they got a divorce. To be honest, I never really liked Roan. He seemed really toxic, and this book showed me that he really was toxic. But, Broken Vows isn't about him being toxic, but more about redemption and Roan wanting to change for Riot and their kids.

Broken Vows was another great book in the Saints & Sinners series, although this one was somewhat different because it talked a lot about addiction and the consequences of addiction. Tori Fox did such a great job with this book, and I'm really going to miss the Saints & Sinners' characters. I really liked the book series, and I recommend reading the books if you love Rock Star Romance books with spice and drama!

This was a hard story to read because in my mind I could not fathom any sane woman remarrying a man as toxic as Roan. Yes, Roan is in the rock band Saints and Sinners and lives the rockstar lifestyle to the fullest, but some things are just a hard NO.

We know from the previous books that Roan and Riot were once married. Riot who is the manager of the band Saints and Sinners did not easily fall for Roans charms in the beginning years of her managing the band, but he was relentless and wore her down. When Riot decided to give Roan a chance, he was already an addict. Alcohol and Drugs were his vice, but Riot saw past that to the man he was at his core. After they were married the drinking did not stop. The heavy drugs did not stop, and Roan cheated on Riot. Not once, not twice but THREE TIMES and the final straw that broke the proverbial camel's back was Roans reckless behavior nearly cost the life of their daughter.

I applaud the author for writing a compelling story of change and redemption because the way my brain is set up there is no way I would consider giving this man a chance; I don't care how much I loved him. It literally took a near death overdose for Roan to want to get it together, but it was a process. Thankfully his band members were in his corner and his ex-wife Riot was determined for him to become the man she fell in love with years ago.

Realizing that he cannot continue living the way he has been living and watching his friends happy in love; Roan finally realizes that his life has meaning, and purpose. He has a lot to live for. Not just for Riot, Saints and Sinners, his 2 young daughters but also for himself.

This book takes a deep look at how destructive addiction is and the lives that are affected as a result of it.

"Broken Vows" by Tori Fox delivers a raw and gritty portrayal of second-chance romance within the tumultuous world of rock music. Roan, the quintessential bad boy rock star, and Riot, his ex-wife, take centre stage in this compelling narrative that strips away the rose-coloured glasses often associated with love stories. Instead, Fox dives deep into the complexities of past mistakes, forgiveness, and the journey towards a hard-earned happily ever after.

The story unfolds with a magnetic pull, drawing readers into the turbulent lives of Roan and Riot as they grapple with their shared history and the scars it has left behind. Fox's skilful storytelling captures the essence of their tumultuous relationship, painting a vivid picture of the highs and lows that come with love in the spotlight.

What sets "Broken Vows" apart is its unflinching honesty. There are no sugar-coated moments here; instead, Ms Fox presents her characters with all their flaws and vulnerabilities laid bare. Roan's rough edges and Riot's resilience make for a captivating dynamic, keeping readers invested in their journey from start to finish.

But amidst the chaos and heartache, there is also hope. As Roan and Riot navigate the rocky terrain of their past, they begin to heal old wounds and forge a path towards redemption. Fox masterfully captures the complexities of forgiveness and growth, allowing her characters to evolve in a way that feels authentic and earned.

Ultimately, "Broken Vows" is a gripping tale of love, loss, and the power of second chances. Tori Fox has crafted a story that lingers in the mind long after the final page, reminding readers that even broken vows can lead to a happily ever after.

What an ending for the Saints & Sinners! I've been waiting for Riot & Roan's story and boy did Tori deliver an angst-filled, second chance romance that had my emotions all over the place.

Roan's demons haunted him for years, especially after an accident that ended with Riot divorcing him. Their story, the heartbreak, the character growth, their chemistry, the way they found their way back to each other after so much had happened, was a beautiful thing to watch unfold.

Riot, though a small part of me hated what she did after the divorce in regards to their kids, I understood her need and desire to protect them at all costs. I love that she never took anything out on him and despite everything, she was there no matter what. Her character was one of my favorites.

I loved broody Roan, but I loved the free version, the one without his demons, so much better. The way he was with their kids...with Riot? I have no doubt that they were meant for each other.

Once again, Tori has blown me away with her characters and the captivating way she tells her stories. From beginning to end, I loved everything about Broken Vows and Riot and Roan's journey back to each other. What a perfect story to wrap one of my favorite rockstar romance series with!

I have been waiting for this story since Black Hearts as Riot and Roan’s relationship was in the background of the entire series. I figured it’d be rough but their story is tragic yet beautiful.

Riot has been there for the guys, especially Roan, since the beginning. Despite everything, she has continued to be seemingly strong and supportive of them all. That is until she has to face the one thing she feared most.

Roan has embraced the rockstar lifestyle a little too much and it cost him everything. Now, not only is he fighting to survive, but he is fighting to be the man he once was and for the life that he once had. Riddled with guilt and shame, he has one goal in mind, to get his wife back.

In this book, we see the raw emotion of these two people who have both been suffering and coping in their way. Riot by throwing herself into work and the raising of her girls and Roan by diving headfirst into his addictions. Yet their story may not yet be over. The full story of Riot and Roan’s relationship ending is heartbreaking. Learning the truth brings past moments into focus painting a clear but heartbreaking picture. However, learning how they started and seeing it unfold again was beautiful. I can’t wait to see what’s next and look forward to devouring it.

While I’m sad to have reached the end of the Saints and Sinners’ story, the best was truly saved for last.

Throughout the Saints & Sinners series we have gotten to know Roan and Riot. We knew that Roan and Riot used to be married, but we really didn’t know how the separation was affecting them. Roan would turn to his addictions to get through the days and Riot was depressed looking at her girls and felt like a piece of herself was missing.

When something happens to Roan, Riot rushes to his bedside and then decides to stay with him to see how he is recovering. What they didn’t expect was to see each other in a different way.

Roan had a rough childhood which may have something to do with his drug and alcohol use as an adult. Roan has some toxic tendencies, but I think that has more to do with his depression than who he is as a person. We get to see who he really is after his detox and mandated counseling sessions. Thinking about the topics of this book and how these characters were written, I think that this topic was very well written. We know that all of the band members of Saints & Sinners had troubled childhoods and they each stood by each other to help them get through the rough times. I am glad that the author waited until the end of the series to give us Roan and Riot’s story, and I think that they are perfect together. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend this book, but I will warn you that each book has sensitive subjects.

Let’s just say that the band Sinners and Saints ALWAYS has it trials and tribulations going on BUT this installment of the band I KNEW was going to be the BEST !! It pulled at your heartstring for BOTH Roan and Riot because they BOTH think they were at fault and they weren’t WRONG !!
But the only way to make the wrongs go away is to make NEW rights and they way these two go about it is loving, warm and scary ALL at the same time !!

Roan Mathieu is the lead guitarist and a man on a downward spiral mission since he lost his wife and girls and he doesn’t know how to make it right so when TRAGEDY hits again he knows he need to get and ask for HELP and that help comes in the form of ex-wife Riot Arceneaux when she shows up on their European tour because she knows she needs to right her wrongs too !!

These two NEVER stopped loving each other BUTT is love enough for them to make a go at their family again or will Steven Rouse and Carter West get in between them and make them make bad decisions ….

Roan needs his girls and Lyric and Brixley need him too so he needs to pull up his BIG boy pants and be a husband, father and a band mate that they ALL need or it could be the end….

SO FANTASTIC !! Couldn’t put it down and read it in 1 day !! Who can be next ??

OMG . What an emotional rollercoaster that sucks you right in from the very first page and does not let go . Tori Fox nailed it , exceeded all my expectations once again and delivered a journey you will not be able to put down . Roan and Riot , I have to say I’m a bit obsessed with these two and the chemistry they share well to say that the steam literally comes off the pages whenever they are together would definitely be a understatement. A second chance rockstar romance that’s filled with dark , raw , gritty and extremely emotional moments, thats heartbreaking and heartfelt , filled with tragedy, secrets , love , passion, twists and turns, obstacles, drama , beautifully flawed and broken characters you simply cannot stop yourself from falling in love with , family , friendships and so much more . In short it’s like being on the wildest ride at the amusement park . It will definitely stir so many different feelings you won’t be expecting and leave you wanting much more . Broken Vows is a journey about love and change and redemption and second chances . It’s so beautifully written and should not be missed 🖤🖤🖤🖤

How my heart broke for Roan. Two years ago he lost everything. His wife and his daughters. But he had no one to blame but himself. Now he is spiraling fast drugs and alcohol are taking over his life. The only time he is himself is on stage.
He still loves Riot. He refuses to admit he has a problem. He can handle it himself or so he thinks.
Riot never realized what she did two years ago to him, asking for a divorce, taking his kids away, what it would do to Roan. It destroyed him but she was so hurt she didn't think her actions through.
Roan finally speaks with a therapist and is finally seeing how he's destroying his life. He wants Riot and his daughter's back. He will do anything to make that happen.
It was such a beautiful thing to see the changes he made to get back to the man he was before drugs and alcohol took over his life. It is not easy, it takes a lot of work but in the end it is worth having the love you once shared and the people who meant the world to you back in your life.

Second chance romance!

I wasn’t sure what I was going to get when I read Roan and Riot’s book. They were mentioned here and there in the previous books and finally we got to their story.

What I liked: I loved them being together after they worked out their issues. I liked that they got remarried and are having a baby boy. I was happy they got their HEA.

What I didn’t like: I love SMUT but I felt like there needed to be a few chapters in between some of it. I didn’t feel as much of a connection with either character. They aren’t my favorite but I do still like them.

What I wanted more of: why Roan fell off the deep end. Maybe like a flash back scene or something. I felt like I was missing something

Overall: I just want to say overall I loved this serious some of the books I loved more than others but that’s the thing about reading we connect with some characters over others. ❣️

This one had me wanting to know what Roan's and Riot's story was. We know they used to be married,as we read more in The Saints and Sinners Series.
This book covers Drugs and Alcohol addictions.
We see how in love they were and how Roan's addiction cost him everything he loved.
Riot is so strong, to see the man she loves and father of her girls everyday, knowing what he did. He was very lost and so deep in depression. Unfortunately his actions were awful. I don't know how Riot found it in her to forgive him.
She has a big heart and she knew who the real him was. So helping him is worth it.
This is was a book about redemption, love, finding themselves again, fighting their demons, growing as character, emotional turmoil, found family and spice.
I have absolutely loved this series and will be sad not to read about them anymore.
This book covers a lot of sensitive subjects but please check triggers. Highly recommend this whole series.

Love this book. Love Roan and Riot’s romance story. The end has finally come. This is the last book of the series. Throughout this series, readers know that Riot and Roan are divorced. Roan is fighting some demons and to cope he uses drugs and alcohol excessively. Roan still loves Riot and he knows that he messed up big time. Roan ends up overdosing while he is on tour. At the hospital, the doctor wants to send him to rehab but Roan refuses. Roan ends up being mandated to take therapy and Riot ends up going on tour to keep Roan on track. Roan and Riot seem to still have feelings for each other and it all comes to light while they are on tour with the band. Roan wants to date Riot again and he wants to make her see that he changed for the better. He seems committed in staying clean for not only Riot but his baby girls. Love how these two end up together. Worth the read

I was excited to dive into the read as soon as it landed on my kindle. Once again Tori blew my mind with her writing and the incredible world she has created. Just as expected from Tori this was an emotional rollercoaster and drew all kinds of emotions from within me. By the end, I was emotionally drained but felt content. I was drawn towards Roan and Riot. And was eager to know how there story unravels. My heart ached for everything they went through as I felt there emotions. I loved how they evolved, how they grew and worked towards not just there relationship but themselves as well. I was rooting for them to get back together. Yet again Tori wrecked my heart and mended it back together. It's a beautiful story about redemption and second chances. Thanks to Tori for the advanced copy of this mind-blowing read.

Man tell me who else has been waiting for Roan and Riot's story? These two have had a really hard time and Roan's descent into the dark is taking its toll not only on him but the band and Riot's nerves. These two no doubt have always loved each other. But after an almost tragedy that leaves them divorced Roan only knows how to do one thing. Numb the pain with drugs and alcohol. When it goes too far it's Riot and the band that steps up to help out. Roan though I have always liked, and in this story I love how he started to see what has happened and is trying to fix not only himself but his family as well. However, let's not be too haste it is not a simple fix and there will be so much turmoil that your heart will start to hurt. But can a love like theirs survive? And will Roan get everything back he has lost? This series has been amazing to read and I just love all the characters.

4.5 stars, Roan & Riot
Over the previous books we have seen how both Roan & Riot have dealt with their divorce & knew there was a final incident that pushed Riot to divorce him.
I wasn't convinced that Roan could admit his addictions, get help and manage to redeem himself enough to earn his second chance, especially after details of that incident are revealed.
Through a long fought battle Roan is shown to bring his addiction under control and finally talk through everything.
I'm intrigued where the series will go next, the epilogues are good but a wrap up with all of the members would be great.

Broken Vows by Tori Fox
✨ARC Book Review✨

I wasn’t big on rockstar romances when I first stared this series but man these books have changed that! I have been following this interconnected series since the second book came out, and was luck enough to get an arc copy of each and everyone since! Thank you again Tori!

Each book is so different from the rest! You understand there characters from the first book and know what there stories are going to be linked but when you sit down and read they you realize there is so much more going on than you originally thought!

That being said please pick up this book as well as the whole series! It was absolutely amazing!

This is the story that I had been waiting on, after reading the others you got glimpses of Roan and Riot and you just knew their story would be explosive in so many ways on an emotional level and the level of their reconnection – the chemistry and love.
What these two went through and you feel the pain that Roan feels and his way of dealing is his self-destruction, but the way that Riot stands by and rushes to his side shows the love that she still has for him. Their journey is not an easy one after all that has happened but will she be able to give in to her feelings and give him a second chance.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic book. I have wanted to know Roan and Riot’s story for a long time and I was not disappointed. After Riot divorced Roan 2 years earlier she thought she was doing the best for her and her two daughters and she never thought about the effect it would have on Roan. Roan has been slipping further and further down a dark path for two years and while on tour in Europe he hir bottom. Riot came rushing to his side and Roan made the decision he was going to be the man he use to be and see if he can win Riot back. To find out how their story ends I suggest you read this book.

This is part of the Saints & Sinners series. This is a second chance rock star romance. A second chance love story that will pull at your heart. Two people drawn together yet pulled apart. Will they find their way back to each other? Will they find the happily ever after that we all want for them? The author does a great job developing her characters. This story is well written and will draw you into the characters emotions. You feel all their angst and love. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I was so looking forward to reading Roan and Riot's story.
Although honestly, in the previous volumes, I wondered if Riot should really return to Roan.

But I have to say that Roan has changed a lot for Riot and their daughters. He did everything to get better and make his daughters proud of him.

I really liked his development and his determination.
He deserves to finally be happy with his family and his group.

This novel is truly a story of second chances. Our two heroes deserved to meet again to finally be happy together.

We finally get Roan and Riot's story!

This is a great second chance story.
They have so much to overcome to be better together. Drugs, alcohol and groupies played a part in the end of their marriage before. I loved seeing their love for each other get them through all the bad stuff.

Part of the Saints & Sinners series and should be read in order for the best experience.

I absolutely loved Riot and Roman’s story. So much love between them but also heartbreak, hurt and mistrust. Love isn’t the problem, it's the drug use, alcohol and groupies that broke them and the secret they keep to themselves. Can these two find a way back to each other and move past all the hurt and find a back to their famil

It took me just a little bit to really get into this book but once I did I flew through it. I really like rockstar romances as a lot of times they have some major hurdles to overcome in life in which Roan sure does. I did like how Riot was there every step of the way to still care for him even though things were rocky for them. I am looking forward to see what Tori has in store for us next!
