***A crossover from the A Witch in the Woods Mystery Series!
With her first month in the Bermuda Triangle in the books as the new PADA detective, Isla Cearta is feeling good about her decision to stay. If only PADA hadn't thrown her a curveball and paired her with a civilian consultant--the infuriatingly handsome treasure-seeking demigod, Jace Solari. Oh, and his snarky glow-in-the-dark dragon, Glo. But Isla was a professional. She could handle the two troublemakers. All she had to do was make sure a case didn't arise that required PADA involvement.
But luck wasn't on Isla's side. When shop owner Felix Darrow is murdered, and the list of suspects is long, Jace and Isla must pair up once again to discover who killed the shifty antiques dealer. When the crime-solving pair discovers one of the stolen pieces might be the missing fertility stone they've been chasing, Isla immediately suspects the thief might be the mysterious woman she's glimpsed a handful of times on the beach. The woman she believes may be her missing mother. Can Jace, Isla, and Glo untangle the web of deceit surrounding Felix's murder and the elusive fertility stone? Or will the secrets of the haunted waters consume them first?

Haunted Waters is the second book in the Enchanted Waters series by Jenna St. James and Stephanie Damore.
I loved this book. Detective Isla along with Jace and we cannot forget Glo are investigating a murder with no shortage of suspects.
There is a fertility stone at the center of the murder investigation.
I really love the playful banter between Isla and Jace and even Glo. I really love the characters in this story. There are so many different paranormal creatures that are really interesting and bring so much to the story.
The mystery was so fantastic. Isla learns more about her mom.
A disappointingly short book, a missing relic that resurfaces really deserves a fuller story!
Isla is seeking the Fertility Stone, which has been retrieved from its hiding place in the ocean and is now on the market. Plenty of suspects, more Scooby Doo investigations, and still the criminals give themselves away rather than the detectives actually detect...
Weirdly, Isla's mother reappears, and there's some random thing about a ring that creates an overreaction with Isla and her Nana... it's all a bit contrived and silly... anyway, the net result is that the Fertility Stone is not captured because obviously it would end the series... it drifts off topic at the end, and there's no resolution to the case at hand... there were potential leads that could have been followed through and made it a longer, more interesting read, but those were left hanging in the breeze, wasted opportunity to provide a full length novel missed over churning out short stories that fall short... would rather wait longer for a better quality novel...
Wondering if it's supposed to be comedy... falls short whatever the genre
Book two of the series has Isla teaming up with Jace and Glo again, as they hunt down the murderer of a man who is said to have had the Fertility Stone.
Things hit close to home for Isla in this one, as our intrepid detectives roam the glorious islands in the Bermuda Triangle. We see some characters from the previous book (and from Shayla’s book that started this spin-off series), as well as continue the ongoing saga of the Fertility Stone that began it all.
It’s a fast read, with an enjoyable tropical tone, that might have you reaching for your favourite fish-dish, or a plate of madeleines. It’s a fun book (Glo is growing on me), as we begin to really know the characters and their world.
Paranormal cosy mystery fans, and those who have enjoyed either the Witch in the Woods or the Kara Hilder series, will enjoy this book, especially the latter two since they’re already familiar with the world.
Isla enjoys living in the Bermuda Triangle with her Nana. As a paranormal detective, working with the unusual is part of her job, but then she gets Jace and Glo for her sidekicks. Challenges with their personalities meshing well, they certainly soften her approach to the locals. Enjoyed the relationship developing, interesting to see where it goes between Isla and Jace.
When a store owner is murdered and the trio are hunting the murderer- so many options since the dead is so disliked, but sorting through alibis and who would really kill for the Fertility stone is a mystery, right until the clues come together and all is revealed.
This was an entertaining and energetic novel, filled with lively characters and a. Interesting storyline and the ending was quite the surprise! And an absolutely worthwhile read
What a wonderful suspenseful journey for Ilsa and Jace and of course Glo, the colorful dragon. Not only one murder happens over a magical artifact, the illusive fertility stone. A treasure sought by many treasure hunters, each with dark secrets of their own. This PADA investigation brings laughter as well as tears for Ilsa and her grandmother. Ilsa gains insight and answers to questions she has had for a long time. I cannot wait to read about their next adventure.
Jenna and Stephanie have done an incredible job in book 2 of the An Enchanted Waters Mystery series. The characters remain strong, new characters are introduced and the bantering between Glo and Isla remains comical. A completely unexpected ending, just wow! I love that they write the background checks into the story, giving you the suspects history and more importantly, the type of magical character they are. Outstanding book 2!!!
When the mythical fertility store is found, many want it and will do anything to get it. Including Isla's criminal mother. Isla hasn't seen her in over 25 years, so when she keeps spotting her throughout the Triangle, she knows it's not a coincidence.
With Isla, Jace, and Glo on the case, it's only a matter of time before they find out who stole the stone and is responsible for 3 murders.
Another excellent mystery with plenty of suspects, lots of twists, and a big shocker. Isla is back working with Jace and Glo and we find out more about Isla’s mom who disappeared years ago. Great group of characters in a wonderful setting and a never-ending supply of surprises. Can’t wait for book 3.
Another enchanting visit to the Bermuda Triangle with Isla, Nonna, Jace and Glo. The murder of a relics store owner on the island involves several suspects, a few deft twists during the investigation, some insights into Isla history and a major twist at the end as Isla and Jace face a perilous ending. This is one that I couldn't put down until I reached the end.
When a local shop owner is murdered, Isla and Jace set out to solve the mystery and recover a rare stolen item. This paranormal mystery has fun characters and plenty of twists and turns. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a voluntary, unbiased review.
Book 2 has humor, multiple murders, theft, treasure hunters, paranormal treasures, all kinds of paranormals, and all within cthe Bermuda Triangle. There is also a tiny glowing dragon that can't decide if she likes the new PADA detective or hates her. Highly entertaining.
I loved this book. It is fun and engaging. The characters are interesting and quirky. I love the magical setting and diverse magical characters. This series is fantastic. The mystery is complex and has many twists and surprises. I highly recommend this book.
I loved reading this book! There was a lot to this mystery as well as some funny moments. I can’t believe that Isla’s mom was so cold and horrible. A truly nasty creature. I do wonder what happens next between Jase and Isla…that could be interesting! Loved!
I enjoyed this book. The characters become more beloved with each book, the plot is easily followed, and the premise is finding the Fertility Stone, and the killer of three paranormal beings. I definitely recommend this book.
Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
This book has the heroine in a interesting place with the woman who brought her into this world, her mom, and how that plays out in this book is worth the read.
