Interesting and Entertaining

I managed to make my way through this book - it was a LOT OF WORK.
The story line is great, but I'm surprised Mr Holmberg put his name on it without coaching Mr Alden or helping him with his editing.
Conflicts that you think are resolved and buried keep cropping up over and over and over again.
The pace of the action is rough and bumpy and often circular.
The vocabulary is uninspired and very repetitive.

An author who can come up with a story this creative definitely needs some coaching and a good editor! I expect to see some good writing from Jasper Alden in the future.

I would rate this book PG.

This is a very interesting book focusing on elementals and their powers. Lathan has a little understanding of elementals, learned from his father’s lessons for him. Latham seems to be at the center of things and is slowly learning more about elementals. I really enjoyed reading this and look forward to more of Lathan’s experiences.

A brisk adventure!

There is so much going on here, my mind is in a whirl! I love the adventure and non stop action. I'm excited to unravel the mystery of the elementals along with our hero.

That was hard work, and I’m no further forward than I was at the beginning! Theme of the book? ‘I don’t know what this means’ it doesn’t really lead anywhere, explain anything, and the characters are dull with no personality.

A decent book

This was a decent book. The plot line was well thought out and the world building was done pretty well. The characters were kind of flat.
