Duncan and Elizabeth's Story . . .

Security Chief Duncan is sadly aware that he is well past the time that he should have found a mate. Everyone around him seems to have found someone, yet even when he lived in busy New York, he never found the “One”. He was deep in thought when a woman wearing a wedding dress walked into the bar. He scented a wonderful sweet smell and his wolf went crazy telling him their mate had just arrived!

Elizabeth had run from her old-fashioned oppressive pack. She wants independence and freedom in a new town. So finding the wolf claiming she is his is not the welcome she hoped for. Lucky for her, Duncan has waited a long time to find his mate and he treasures her. He is willing to wait and show her his love and support until she is ready and comfortable to accept his claim. Will he protect her when her past catches up to her? Will she be ready to become his, knowing that he will always be there for her?

He is at a bar commiserating with the only other single wolf when Elizabeth walks into bar dressed in a wedding . Duncan is shocked to realize that his fated mate has just walked into his life. When he approaches her, she makes it clear that she is not ready to be anyone's mate.

Elizabeth is sick of living under the control of her family and her pack. She wanted nothing to do with the mating that they arranged and ran away. She stops by a pack bar and meets Duncan who is her fated mate. To Elizabeth, it doesn't matter to her that they are fated. She just wants enjoy her independance. However he wolf wants her mate.

This was a great romance that brought together Duncan and Elizabeth. She's just fled a terribly repressive pack only to bump into her fated mate, Duncan. She's so not ready to be under any male's thumb and yet, she can't resist Duncan's quiet strength and support. He's thankful he's finally found his mate and is more than willing to give her the time she needs to accept them... With great support from wonderful friends, these two find that they're more than perfect together. Expect healing, action and steamy romance to help you root hard for these two to get their HEA :D

Duncan is a wolf shifter who just about gives up on finding his mate when Elizabeth walks into the bar in a wedding dress. Elizabeth ran from an arranged marriage, her controlling family, and pack and was ready to start over. I loved the way the author brought Duncan and Elizabeth together and how he took his time convincing her that they were fated mates. Runaway Wolf is book eight in the Bite Sized Shifter series. I look forward to reading the first seven books in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Who are Pepper, Duncan, Preston, Cami, and Meri? How do they all know one another? Learning about what each of them is was fun. Who is Elizabeth? Where does Elizabeth find a job, and what will she be doing? What happens at her job after Duncan walks in one night? What happens when Elizabeth's father and brother show up? Read and see why I felt a sappy smile when I finished the story. There's much mystery around why Elizabeth dresses as she does; eventually, she speaks about it.

I loved this story about Duncan a wolf shifter who finds his mate when she walks into the local bar with a wedding dress on, I loved Duncan he had such a good and caring heart who will protect those that he loves. Elizabeth ran from her old fashioned pack and the man that she was being forced to marry she runs to a new town to start over and to have independence what she didn’t expect was to find her fated mate. Fantastic story I loved these midlife characters and I highly recommend this book.

The author has given us a fast-paced story that pulls us into the lives of Duncan and Elizabeth. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, denial, a lack of confidence and steam.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how Duncan let Elizabeth be the strong woman that she is. I also like the way their mating went and how Duncan proposed to her knowing she wanted the human wedding as well.
