This book has several problems...at least they are problems in my opinion. The author begins by contending that there is a large unknown length of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. He believes that God created the heavens and the earth (v.1), but Lucifer and his followers rebelled against God and were cast to earth after this creation. According to Dr. Ollison, they then set up cities, established trade, etc. on earth then. This, in his opinion, allows for a plausible explanation of the many archeological sited that have been dated to prior to Adam and Eve being in the garden. He states that "Adam left the Garden of Eden in 4004 BC as the Bible says" in Chapter 5 (p. 101 in the Kindle edition). I have a very difficult time coming to this conclusion from the arguments he presents.

A second issue I have is his view on Genesis 6:2, which says that "the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were attractive." Here he argues that the "sons of God" were angels, called "Watchers," that were placed on earth by God as overseers of humanity. Much of this is based on writings in the Book of Enoch, an ancient Jewish text not included in the canon of Scripture. His attempt to justify this conclusion using Scripture is a stretch at best. I daresay that God did not need help watching His creation.

At times he references very unusual things that occurred to him. In one example he claimed that in a close call with a deer while driving "the deer passed through our car in front of me and exited on the driver’s side. It was so close that I could see its fur on the dashboard in front of my steering wheel. I felt as though I could reach out and touch it. The deer literally ran through my vehicle." Sorry, not gonna buy that one.

Lastly, at times he is just inaccurate in his writing. On page 257 he states, "Years ago, a copper scroll of Isaiah was found that was estimated to be 1,200 years older than any previously known copy." According to what I found online, a copper scroll was found among the Dead Sea Scrolls (3Q15), but it did not contain Isaiah. A scroll of Isaiah was found as well (1Qlsa), but it was not made of copper.

While the book contains some interesting ideas and is quite readable, I really cannot recommend it.

I was very impressed with Dr. Ollison's knowledge on the various topics mentioned in this book. I enjoyed the topics covered in this book. However I was most impressed with the chapter on the Hebrew language. I was astounded at the depth of the language. I was astounded at the accuracy by which the scribes must adhere and the reverence they give the writing of the name, "Lord". It helps alleviate for me that the Holy Bible is the true Word of God. I will not mention any more due to not including a spoiler alert. You need to buy the book. I am proud to have this book on my library shelf. It was a very interesting and smooth read.

Excellent Summary of God's Plan and the Raging Battle to Cancel It!

Excellent, readable summary of the plan of God for His creation - ALL of it - and especially humanity! This book also explains the war between God's righteous rule and the evil rebellion perpetrated by the fallen angelic beings. These demonic forces continue to wage war against God and His followers because they actually believe they can win but their arrogant pride prevents them from seeing the Day of Judgement approaching like runaway freight train. Hallelujah! Maranatha!

Hidden Mysteries

I enjoyed every chapter of this book so much I had to slow down to enjoy it longer. It’s very well written and easy to read. Larry brings out a lot of interesting things in the Bible that most people just skim over. If you’re interested in the Bible I would highly recommend reading this book. It’s not a book you will forget.

I found this very interesting… As someone who grew up in the church, I wish some of things had been explained better to us as children and young adults, it would have made more sense and been helpful.

Very interesting. I agreed with much of it. However, I thought parts of it were based more on the author's imagination and bad logic than on Scripture or other hard evidence.

This amazing book covers it all! From the watchers and Nephilim, the mysteries of giant ancient structures, AI, transhumanism, time travel, flat earth theory, angels, the Great Tribulation, the mark of the beast, ghosts and hell- this book is a page-turner with a new surprising and controversial topic on every new page! Taking a biblically-backed look at all these topics and more, Larry has created a mush read for every believer, new and experienced. This would make a great gift for the new believer. If you loved Rick Renner's new book "Fallen Angels, Giants, Monsters and the World Before the Flood" or Alan Didio's book "Summoning the Demon" you will love this one as well!

I was sad when I finished this book. So thoughtfully, prayerfully, and scripturally, did Larry Ollison address both the hot and fringe topics confronting the world and the church today, I felt a sense of longing for more such scholarship to counsel the body of Christ to maturity on faith and knowledge. This book is truly a hidden treasure in the field of modern Christian literature.
