BOSTON FALL 2

Rate this book
Michael McDonald, renowned author of the INDIANA FALL and BOSTON FALL series, presents the much-anticipated sequel - BOSTON FALL 2! This post-apocalyptic thriller follows the lives of ordinary Americans as they struggle to survive in the aftermath of a national disaster.

In BOSTON FALL 2, Franny's parents, Lois and Allen Schechter, find themselves stranded at a small regional airport in Kansas after their flight is diverted from Denver. With limited options, a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger convinces them to embark on a perilous journey across Kansas and eastern Colorado. Along the way, they meet people of faith who challenge and surprise them in unexpected ways.

Meanwhile, Leonard, Mel, and Stephanie continue their cross-country journey by bike, heading toward Ohio before ultimately making their way to Western Colorado. As the group faces numerous challenges and obstacles, old and new characters join the cast, making for a thrilling and suspenseful read.

This family-friendly post-apocalyptic tale has a strong thread of faith and trust in God woven throughout, making it a heartwarming and inspiring story. There are no scenes to make you blush, and the language is clean and appropriate for all ages. However, due to the genre, there are some depictions of graphic violence.

Don't miss out on this exciting and emotionally charged sequel to the beloved BOSTON FALL series!

At first I had no idea why this was Boston Fall any number as the people at the start were no where near Boston and not in the first book. The Schecters did have some promise as people blindsided by this and having difficulty coming to terms with the event, but handled it so poorly that it diminished their impact. Lois in particular was difficult, mean to a poor dog. It made no sense that when they were in safe areas that she was a physician, but content to do supplies inventory as Mrs Schecter. They were unbelievably lucky. Midway the three characters from Boston 1 appear but are no where near Boston now. The obstacles they faced became repetitive. I really did not like the constant intrusion of religion and mysticism. The focus seemed to be just to trust in a god and everything will be OK...so much for the nuns telling me that God helps those who help themselves. Just way to much praying for me so I am not going to find out if Leonard and Mel make it to Colorado.

Boston Fall 2

I really enjoyed the faith based aspect of this book. It’s nice to read post apocalyptic fiction that reflects a belief in God and his hand in the survival of the characters.

Wow

That was a great installment to this story line. I really enjoyed the turns this one took. I would definitely recommend this book and the entire series and the original October Gall series.

Loved the "Fall" books. Eating vector is this interesting as the last. You keep reading since you get invested in the characters and can't wait to find out what happened next.

Happy

God is amazing and we have to believe some time it takes faith to over come fear. Relentless to try and deny to strong pull when the times we are in today so keep your head on a swivel and never give up.

Fun characters

I like that faith in God is it part of the story. Fast paced with lots of action. Reading about how the characters were able to travel is something to think about.

women cant be ordained.

A pastor needs to be husband of 1 wife. Women can’t be ordained. Stop ripping out book of Titus. Do better.

Reunited

It took me a couple chapters to understand how this book was related to Boston Fall 1 after that things started to make sense.
