“This world is yours. All I want to do is kneel before you and watch you burn it to the ground.”

Sydney

When I heard my parents had died in a tragic accident, all I could feel was relief. I was finally free. Finally able to go about my life without the weight of all the lives they’ve taken on my shoulders.
That is, until I met Ronan Miller.
Tricked into a false sense of safety, Ronan uses my trust to deliver me to the last person I ever expected. My twin sister I never knew existed.
As family secrets unravel before me, I learn one thing: I’m the harbinger of ruination.

Ronan

I’ve dedicated my life to helping Jerry lead the DC Fallen Angels. Working as an Agent of Influence in politics, my life is constantly teetering on the brink of collapse, and I like it that way.
But then my mission changes.
First, it was bring Sydney, the key to bringing down one of the world’s largest crime syndicates, to the Fallen Angels. Then, it’s to marry her.
A forced marriage that benefits us both, we’re forced to work together despite our distain for each other.
She’s the key to bringing the entire operation down, if only we don’t kill each other on the way.

“You’re the key to this whole operation. You walk into that room, and they’ll be on their knees, shaking, knowing their end is near.”

Anna Noel is a firm believer in writing what you’re passionate about, and two things she’s loved her entire life are sports and spies.

Growing up a huge fan of Baltimore Sports, Spy movies, and Fast and Furious, Anna got her start writing early, graduating from writing small picture books about her childhood Dalmatian to books about street racing, crime, and spies.

Her favorite authors growing up were Dan Brown, Iain Reid, and Kazuo Ishiguro. Although she writes in a completely different genre, she finds inspiration in their creativity and genius.

Anna’s life goal has been to help authors and become one herself. With entrepreneurship running in her family, she knew that she would do it eventually. As time went on, in 2015 Anna started selling plot lines to authors who needed a little help, and years later would expand her services to authors, eventually going full-time with it in 2020.

Anna specializes in slow burn romances, and is excited to continue both her Project Fallen Angel series and the Baltimore Cobras.

This is one of my favorite romantic suspense series so far. And Harbinger? It hits every one of my favorite tropes: marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers, morally gray characters, and more. Ronan is by far the best book boyfriend I've read this year. This man drew her a bath and cared for her even though he wanted nothing to do with her or the relationship they were forced into. Anna Noel has said this story was inspired by a scene in Fast and the Furious and you can definitely tell during the car scenes--which was one of my favorite scenes. This book is so different from the other romance books out there. It's definitely a lot like a spy movie, action-packed, and filled with so many twists and turns. The story's pacing is perfect especially since everything happened in such a short amount of time. I loved it and I can't wait for the next Fallen Angel!

AHHHHHH Harbinger is officially out into the world! This is book 2 in the Project Fallen Angel Series and WOWW did I LOVE it❤️‍🔥 Book 1 hold a special place in my heart and now Harbinger has joined it🫶🏻

Our fmc Sydney’s truly awful parents have died and she is now left trying to fix things together that she didn’t want in the first place. All eyes are on her, until a guy comes up and says that she must go with him and from then on everything changes!!! AHH you guys I’m getting goosebumps writing this review🥹

Sydney and Ronan are the true picture of trust, teamwork and a hell of a journey. Ronan was by her side through it all and I couldn’t help but love him! He was so so supportive😚 Ronan truly fell first and would give anything for her!

Harbinger has REAL enemies to lovers, forced marriage of convenience (aka the best 2 tropes) ANDDD is dual POV🥳 I loved every single second of this and I was kept ok my toes for sure! I read it in a day as I just couldn’t stop turning to the next page🤭 This universe and plot like that Anna has created is genius and I have the best time when I’m in this world! Full of secrets, action, memory loss, hidden identities…. The list goes on!!

I am SO SO excited for this series and I can’t wait to re-read the first 2 early next year. I was so nervous as Harbinger has been one of my most anticipated releases but obviously I loved it and the series is now one of my all time favourites🥰🧸

If you ever take 1 book rec from me, pleaseeeee make it this series! I never thought I would love a spy, action romance but WOWWW it’s now one of my fav romance sub genre🫶🏻✨ go read this now if you haven’t already❤️ thank you so much Anna for letting me have the opportunity to read this as a arc - you have blown me away like always!!

Harbinger is Book 2 of the Project Fallen Angel series by Anna Noel. I wasn’t sure how it was possible, but I love this book even more than I love Reprisal (Book 1). Both are five star reads from me! I adore this world and series so much.
This book isn’t your typical Hallmark-esque romance, instead it’s an action packed spy romance that has lots of secrets, amazing character development, and a plot that keeps you entertained the whole way through.
Sydney, the FMC, loses her parents. She decides to go to the funeral after not seeing them for years and afterwards she goes to get drinks with one man, and then finds herself with another man who says she must go with him. She doesn’t know why, but she does. Ronan is a Fallen Angel whose mission is to figure out what happened to Sydney’s parents and bring their empire down along the way. One thing though… the two must get married.

Ronan is the most supportive and sweetest guy EVER! Not only that, but he’s the most protective as well. While this is a slow burn, it’s worth the wait for the spice that comes once the two realize their mutual attraction. Seeing how he and Sydney come together not only physically but emotionally made me swoon. Ronan deserves the best book boyfriend (husband??) of the year award for the way he takes care of Sydney.

Tropes:
🩶 Forced marriage of convenience (a new trope for me, and one I didn’t know I’d love!!)
🩶 True enemies to lovers,
🩶 Found family
🩶 Morally grey MMC
🩶 Praise k!nk
🩶 Touch her and d!e
🩶 He falls first

Thank you Anna for letting me read this as an ARC! This book was nothing short of incredible.

Fast paced dark action romance novel in a bigger series? Sign me up. Don’t sign me up for spoilers. Unsubscribe… UNSUBSCRIBE!

The plot - start off strong with; CHECK YA FUCKIN TRIGGERS PEOPLE. A FEW DARK TOPICS IN THIS ONE. Now, for rapid fire tropes because reviews are loooong; arranged marriage/marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, found family, disability rep because the FMC has endometriosis, suspense/action romance, touch her and you die vibes. Smut is a 2/5 on the spice scale, pretty mid actually because it’s more action. It’s a HEA which we love, and apparently this is part of a larger series which is great! I believe they’re all standalones.
Loved the plotline etc, was NOT a massive fan of the typo errors in it. Sydney and Jerry’s name were swapped several times, as well as Sydney and Ronan’s, POV’s would swap mid chapter occasionally and there was a few minor typos like instead of “her” it would say “he” and things like that.

The MC - had mixed feelings about Sydney. On the one hand she was strong and resilient and a badass FMC. On the other hand, she was callous and rude and indecisive. She’s human, I suppose is the best way to describe her.

The male counterpart - I adored Ronan. I felt for him having no previous memories of his life, and trying to navigate life afterwards, and he clearly adores our girl so brownie points. He is everything, broody, grumpy, and a possessive alphahole but the good kind… I swear.

Sydney’s estranged (& downright horrible) parents have died and now she’s stuck picking up the pieces of a life she never wanted, a life she ran from time and time again. Everyone’s got their eyes on her, the good and the bad, when one man shows up telling her she needs to come with him she has a gut feeling everything is about to change.

As soon as I saw Anna had her ARC Link up I submitted it! I absolutely loved reliving the Bourne Series in book form with Reprisal, I new I needed it again. And honestly, it didn’t disappoint.

Sydney’s character, while hesitant about most everything, is all in with this plan and definitely like giving a Ronan lip. I thoroughly enjoyed the push back she gave him and that he took it in stride. I think what got me most was how he supported her, even before they fell for each other. This man is one big bag of marshmallow smoosh - he would give this woman the world and that’s absolutely what he did.

In an ultimate story of “teamwork makes the dream work” two complete opposites fell in love. And really, what more could you want in an action packed romance?

Read if you like:
🖤The Bourne Movies
🖤Spies
🖤Mercenaries
🖤Forced Marriage of Convenience
🖤Action Packed
🖤He Falls First
🖤Chronic Disease Rep
🖤Found Family

📚 Harbinger by Anna Noel: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I finished this last night and let me tell you, this book had me laughing, tearing up, and I even had some moments of rage while reading. This book is a perfect read especially if you enjoy fast and furious and any spy movie. This book was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. There wasn’t a single moment where I was sitting there being bored by what I was reading.
Tropes include:
- Marriage of convenience
- Strangers to enemies to lovers
- Found family
- He falls first
- Dual POV
And many more.
I absolutely adored the chemistry between Sydney and Ronan and their bantering. They both had me laughing so many times. Especially when Sydney told him that he had to grow his beard out or she wouldn’t agree to marry him😂
Ronan is the perfect book boyfriend. This man went above and beyond to make sure that Sydney was as comfortable as she could be. He wasn’t afraid to show her that he cared at all and he allowed her to see his vulnerable side. This man had learned that Sydney suffers with endometriosis and looked up everything that there was to know about endometriosis so he could help her. If that doesn’t show how much he cares for her I don’t know what will.

The Project Fallen Angel series continues and this time with a new dynamic.
Through secrets, lies, and betrayal, Sydney (FMC) finds herself in one of the last places she wants to be. With a sick twist, she is forced to marry the guy who put her there. One can only hope to see the tension laced relationship shift and change into the lust filled one we want to see by the end.
I did enjoy this book, but it didn't fully captivate me like book one did. Decently written, I just couldn't get lost in the couple. I look forward to reading more stories from this newer author.
Since this series is written as interconnected standalones, you don't have to read them in order, but I do suggest reading them in order to gather the full picture.

Harbinger by is book 2 in the Project Fallen Angel Series and is fantastic. The story is fast paced, full of secrets, lies, action, suspense, and twists you’ll never see coming. Sydney and Ronan are fantastic characters that have a very interesting start to their relationship. Enemies to lovers, forced proximity and forced marriage is a recipe for a turbulent feisty romance. The evolution of their relationship is captivating and you won’t want to stop reading. I thought all the characters were well developed and their found family chemistry was perfect. While these books are standalone, I would definitely read book one Reprisal first. It’s a great read and there are little pieces from book 1 that interconnect with this one. I really enjoyed this read and cannot wait for book 3.

2,5 ✨

I found out about this series totally at random but after reading the first book I was curious to read the other stories of the Project Fallen Angel (and I'm curious with book 3 btw 👀)

I don't know. . . I enjoyed the other book more than this one even if there were a few good moments here.

The story was good but it wasn't great and I felt the same with the characters. Sydney and Ronan were really hot together though so there's that.

Let's see what else this author has planned out for the future. I'll be here.

▬ 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬: assassins/mercenaries, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, arranged marriage, found family
▬ 𝐭𝐰: violence, death

Harbinger is Book 2 in the Project Fallen Angel Series.
This was quite the exciting read! Once I started I could not put this down.
Sydney has horrible parents, and when they die unexpectedly she has to deal with the fallout.
After the funeral, she meets a man that says she must go with him. And things get crazy from there.
She meets Ronan, and hates him from the start. The end up having to get married to take down her parents company.
They grow closer, while dealing with secrets, lies, crazy car chases and deadly shoot outs.
I look forward to reading more from Anna Noel

This is the second book in an interconnected standalone series of spy romance novels. This book is a quick read and was enjoyable. I was interested in learning more about the fallen angels and seeing where that story line took all these new characters. Both of the main characters have instant attraction for each other but end up in an interesting situation for the sake of the mission. Only downside for this book was it felt rushed especially the last half of the book and I think that led me to not have as deep of a connection to the characters. Overall great spy romance with multiple layers.

I read this pretty much right after reading Reprisal and I'm going to have to say I loved this one a smidge more! Something about a morally grey MMC just pulls me in (hello Ronan!). Sydney is a feisty FMC who gets pulled into a situation involving her dead parents as well as a secret twin. I really couldn't stop reading because it was so fun to see how the forced marriage and bringing down Sydney's parents' criminal empire down. I wished we would have gotten more of the actual takedown of the family business but that's pretty much it.

"You think that you're just some sheep. Just some plaything that we're going to throw out when we're done with her, and I don't know why. You're anything but. You're powerful. Beautiful. Capable."

Harbinger is book two in Anna Noel's Project Fallen Angel series and she is definitely two for two with this series. I have never been a spy movie fan or even contemplated reading books with that being the focus but I am absolutely loving this series so far.

Ronan has spent years as a member of the CIA's Project Fallen Angel. He has his found family and that is it, never any women in his life. Per the policy of his employer his memories of his previous life are gone so he honestly has no memory of being with a woman. All of that changes when Jerry's twin sister, Sydney, turns out to be the one person that can aide them in taking down some nasty people.

Sydney has just lost her parents and is not heartbroken in the least over it because they were not good people. She could not get away from them soon enough. One minute she is at their funeral and leaves to have drinks with a handsome stranger and the next she is approached by another handsome stranger telling her she must come with him. For some reason she trusts him enough to go with him and then the world she thought she knew and grew up in totally tilts on her when she comes face to face with a twin sister she never even knew she had. She is soon learning she is the key to taking down the organization/business her parents have been running her entire life. All she has to do is marry Ronan, handsome stranger #2.

The entire story of Syd and Ronan is so dang good. Can you say slow burn!!!! Ronan is such a cinnamon roll fella when it comes to Sydney. The attraction between them is HOT and the anticipation of these two finally realizing what is right in front of their faces is so freaking amazing. Pretend all they want but there really is no pretending and everyone around them sees it. Sydney deserves the level of love that Ronan gives her. She has been robbed of loving arms wrapping around her all of her life and it is about time for someone to love her and who better than Ronan. Getting to see her start to build a relationship with Jerry is just as touching.

I was not expecting as slow of a burn with these two as they were but those are my favorites and I was there for every single page of it. I love when an author builds the main characters up so well throughout the story that the reader is compelled to continue reading and not stop until they get their HEA! Ms. Noel is extremely good at this and I am so excited for more from this series.

*Late Arc Review*

OMGGGGGGG this book was so good. I love how despite Roanan's best attempts in the beginning at keep Sydney at a distance he falls for her and he falls hard. I wanted more of them seeing them happy and enjoying life together. This series legit gets better and better with each book.

Can't wait for the next book to find out all cowboy Matthew's secrets.

today’s the day i finally talk about book two to one of my all time favorite series! Anna Noel does it once again giving us angst, banter, and high stakes.

for those of you who aren’t already aware the twins are two of my favorite characters in this series, so best believe when i found out Sydney’s book was next in the series i was STOKED! much like other women in Noel’s arsenal, Sydney is extremely badass with a little bit of a lover’s heart. wanting nothing more than to stay far away the life of crime her parents have built an empire on, she gets pulled right back in after their deaths. what better way to get pulled back in than by being put into an arranged marriage with Ronan Miller by the twin sister she never knew about?
Ronan Miller is a gem all on his own. a man who’s not afraid to get a little blood on his hands, but will also kiss the ground Sydney walks on. while the pair swear to not like each other, Ronan quickly has other plans plotting in his mind.
Harbinger fully took my heart in its hands, squeezed it until it hurt, took it on a rollercoaster ride of twists and turns, and mended it back together. the way Noel writes her own form of found family, mixed with characters who you can not get enough of, has me on the edge of my seat begging for more each time.

a huge thank you to Anna Noel for not only sending me an ARC copy of Harbinger, but for always being one of the kindest authors i’ve ever met. i’m lucky to call you a friend & am so excited to see what else you put into the world!!
if you enjoyed The Mindf*ck Series, fast & furious, and criminal minds i HIGHLY recommend you pick up this series!
(book three may or may not be a cowboy cia agent & a female serial k*ller 👀)

Harbinger by Anna Noel is the second book in the Project Fallen Angels Series and follows the story of Sydney and Ronan. It's a perfect representation of strangers to enemies to lovers with slow burn where the guy falls first.
Sydney has always known that her parents weren't good people. And she has spent most of her life trying to keep as much distance from them as possible. She wants nothing to do with the criminal lives her parents live. When they tragically pass she's relieved to finally feel free of everything. But instead she's deceived into trusting a stranger named Ronan and taken to meet her twin sister, Jerry who she never knew existed and is expected to right all the wrong her parents have committed.
After the passing of her parents Sydney is next in line to be head of the empire but in order for her to get what's rightfully hers she need to first be married. Forced into a marriage of convenience by her twin Sydney is expected to help bring the entire empire to the ground.
Ronan is a part of Fallen Angels who has dedicated his entire life to help Jerry. When Jerry suggests that he marries her sister Ronan agrees reluctantly knowing that it would be the only way to proceed with their plans.

✨ Strangers to enemies to lovers
✨ Forced proximity
✨ Found family
✨ Dual POV

I really enjoyed this, I adored Reprisal so I knew I was gonna enjoy this. I love the premise of this book, so much of this is so original compared to what I’ve read before.

I loved Sydney, she was a badass who fought through the rubble from her childhood and got out to where she wanted to. She was also so hilarious.

Rowan was so reserved until he wasn’t and I absolutely loved it when he let his guard down for Sydney and let her in.

I loved the development in Sydney and Jerry’s relationship, how close they got throughout the book and hope to see a little more about their bond in a Jerry book.

I loved the glimpses of Matthew and I’m now super ready for Penance!

She did it again. It was a good book! These are standalones in an interconnected series, so you can read whichever ones you want. However, Personally I recommend reading them in order for the parts that ARE interconnected to each other.

This story was about Sydney and Ronan. He's a Fallen Angel, she's a target....but not for the reasons you think. With forced proximity and a forced marriage, these two have their ups and downs. Definitely worth the read, and I'm so excited for book 3!

As always, check the content warnings!
