4 stars. This was so much fun. I thoroughly enjoyed this from beginning to end. Fated mates, paranormal, bodyguard insta romance. Angie gets assigned as Suzie’s bodyguard. Angie is a vampire and instantly realizes that Suzie is her mate. I liked both characters a lot. Suzie is self assured and bad ass in her own right and Angie is brooding and yet likable. They worked well together. There was a bit of action in this that was fun and the smut was great. No complaints from me and I’m excited to get to book two.
Almost more of a contemporary, urban supernatural romance with a bit of mystery. I liked this as a kind of introductory story to the larger, greater shifter world within the supernatural space of this series. I think choosing a vampire without all the religious and historical connections was actually smart, in separating from that it allows for the story to be more real and, ironically, more human. The romantic and sexual aspects are there, but they are just really glimpses inside this couples dynamic and issues they face together. Good read and I do recommend the whole series.
I did enjoy cupcake shop owner Susie and her vampire bodyguard Angie, but wasn't really impressed with this audio presentation. All the voice parts sounded the same which became monotonous. Although it was kind of a cute story, everything happened too fast because of its short length. I think I just may be too old for this story to appeal to me!
Angie is a body guard for a homophobic fathers daughter.
Suzie likes girls, her parents would have disowned her when she came out, but, her homophobic father is a U.S. Senator and mother is a federal judge, oops! Now Suzie has been targeted by Putin for something her father did against Russia. Did I mention that Angie is also a vampire? Who wins? Enjoy!
What can I said, it was funny and a little bit of suspense, it was a great read can wait to read the next two. I don't usually leave feed back but this book deserves a great review. Buy or read enjoy.
Guarding the senators daughter is a action packed romantic drama with paranormal characters The book is petty balanced between the two different genre that are in this book. Highly recommended to fans of both romance and action stories
This is a novella length really fun comedic sapphic romance. I loved it. Easily a one sitting enjoyable read that provides plenty not spice and lots of laughs. Try it!
I really enjoyed this book. A light Fun Sally is romance with a little heat. Loved the characters especially the bears. Highly recommended and I will definitely be reading more of these.
Guarding the Senator's Daughter: A Lesbian Paranormal Romantic Comedy is a low-angst paranormal vampire-human romance. There are some amusing minor characters and brief moments of suspense. This is a short read with the anticipated happy ending.
Nice, short and sweet and I’m not referring to the cupcakes. It has everything I like, strong independent women, shape shifters, action, love and happy ending, what else can one ask for!
I was curious to find out what a "paranormal romantic comedy" would consist of while still being about a body guard. Now I know. This was quite entertaining.
This books has amazing detail for a short story. Great character development as well. The spice in this book is an amazing level. Great build up to it.
Great story. Read the book - don’t listen to the audiobook version since it’s narrated by virtual voice. It sounds like audiobooks narrated in the 1970. Without any feelings in the voice
Angie is a vampire and bodyguard who has been tasked with protecting Suzie from the Russians. To make things more interesting Suzie and Angie turn out to be fated mates. I liked this book. It was a fun easy read with a little action thrown in. I wish there had been more about the Russian danger. I'm looking forward to more books in the series. I just hope that future books focus a little more on the security aspect.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I always say about being a fan of sapphic shifters and vampires and if they are fated nates even more so.
I loved Angie and Suzie getting together, though the circumstances is a bit stressful. Also Suzie's parents are something else. I am just glad that she eventually stood her ground with them. Loved it. And on to the next book.
