My spouse has been suffering from depression, causing anxiety in me, so it seemed like a good idea to purchase Navigating The S.T.O.R.M. by Marusya Wellness. It is a 138-page book that begins with some definitions and a bit of a pep talk that we are not alone. The overall structure was crafted after a ship (person) navigated their way through the storm. The author provided tools to see problems, understand what they were, and some techniques for feeling better. I liked this high-level intuitive approach because it made the wacky aspects of my mind easy to understand. The second chapter is about what triggers the problems and how to recognize when something negative occurs. I found this to be the most helpful because I did not realize that my anxiety was a triggered response. I had thought it was like an overall cloud of emotion. This book benefited my mental health, and I got a lot out of it. I am giving my wife a copy (lending her my Kindle book reader) and I know she will also appreciate this excellent self-help guide.
