2.5 Stars The second book isn’t as magical as the first, but still a decent read. The ratio to drama and “intimate” was off. It felt like the majority of the book was filled with nonstop smashing. Not the good kind. The kind that you skip because it’s ridiculously overdone. If there was more action/drama, the intimate moments probably wouldn’t have felt so forced. Balance was missing from this sequel. Ends on a cliffhanger…again.

I am so bored.
Why?
Their decisions just didn’t make sense to me.
They leave any provisions behind. They go off on a plan half-thought and half-baked. They waltz into a village without recon. They stay at accommodation without scoping it out first. They fly off in weird directions without planning a route beforehand. They’re just going “south”.
I don’t like that the men flip back and forth with decisions. I don’t like that she’s ruled by her biology.
I’m just bored, bored, bored! I can’t relate to them. They don’t make sense to me. I’ve been skim reading pages and pages because their inner dialogue is meh. I really want to see who is added next. Literally the only reason I am still here.

Hmm…
This book writing wise is about the same as the first book for me. It’s good, but not outstanding. I was interested enough in the story to keep reading and I want to see what happens next. With as much that happens in this book, I don’t really feel like I learned much about anything other than Ari is constantly horny and they’re going South. That’s pretty much the gist.
We do learn a bit more about Kiaran which is great since we knew virtually nothing about him from the first book. We don’t learn too much more about Finn or Taj, but we do get to see some of the changes that being exposed to their fae-blood omega has brought about.
I think I remember reading that the harem will be complete by the end of the next book and I’m not gonna to lie, I’m dying to know how many guys she ends up with. Solid 3.25 stars.

First, I have to say I was not expecting to laugh as much as I did.
This was equal parts hilarious, heart racing, and tantalizing. The beginning of Ari, Finn, and Taj’s epic adventure to the south is something you’ll never forget.
Beginning where the last book left off, we meet the Wildman, the Berserker, the beast that ran off with Ari and away from her maybe mates.
In pain and defenseless, all she can do is yell and pray. Will she see her would be mates again? Will she be eaten by the Drakoryas? Will she ☠️ never knowing pleasure?

Boring
OMG, this book was so boring! I don't even know how I made it through it. I'm debating whether or not to finish the series. I am having a really hard time with this whole heat thing. It's ruining the plot for me. I feel like all the characters are strange. They aren't good or bad. They're just all weird. Very little happened in this book. You could skip it and would barely miss anything. If I read the next book I certainly hope it gets more interesting because this book almost had me not finishing it.

In this 2nd part the characters grow and how, I love them.
They have to completely put aside what they always believed and how they were raised.
It's a long and difficult road, plus the pre-heat doesn't make it easy for Ariadne, it's hell while you're on the run.
I love Kiaran and am very curious to see how many more Alphas will be added.

Another amazing book by Mona Black! I am really enjoying all the relationships progressing and hearing more about their journey to hopefully a safe haven. That cliffhanger though! Can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

Following from the end of book one, Ari found her self facing the Berserker. The Drakoyas. The wildman who was said part of men who was outcast, wild or crazy enough to be fooled by the King who used them as his desposable savage weapon in war.
But this omega found not only the wildman. She found her mate also. While for Finnen and Taj gave me blueballs through out book one, Kiaran who have no society moral compas, who have no idea of normalcy, who care less about people judgement, got me my first big O.
I mean, Ari! Not me! 😂
Daaang Mr. Wildman really do know how to use his mouth💃🎉
This second book give you more of these four characters inner POV with their struggle to except them self as Fae blood with alpha-omega dynamic. And that include the growing connection between the boys.
Get what i mean? *happy dance if you love your book to have little MM action.
Yes, i say little cause hei, these guys need to except they share a girl,have fae blood, leaving their old lives and believes, on the run, and basicly living a prophecy. Imagine your self a former priest finding him self lusting for another man, as if lusting for one woman isn't enough and to have a Commander got turn on by another man order.
And Kiaran? 😂Omg this man made me laugh with his sometime a seven year old boy naivety in term of human relationship. He's endearing. While Taj and his potty mouth and Finnen with his holly than tou fall from Grace attitude... Oh this clan have their own colours.
I love how they all learn the dynamic of being alpha-omega. Including when Ari start collecting things for her nest. That was cute! 😍
The steamy scenes are... Hotdang! My only complaint was the first deed. She was a virgin? From my previous omegaverse read, even when it said omega are build for alpha, but first time and a virgin? Still got to hurt. Except Taj's D is tiny... 🤷♀️ cause that first time scene? Too smooth to be a V card first time.
And since the author said Ari is collecting her clan, i was waiting for another alpha to join. And it seems, one of them need to get taken to find new member😁

Mona Black, you,sly fox, did you just cliffhanger me? Yes, you totally did. You not only left me hanging in such a key moment of the story, but you left me breathless after laughing so much with your characters. And the warm feeling of reading a book not only entertaining but thought provoking and unforgettable is still lingering. For being alphas, your male characters surely are stumbling around like unexperienced foals, doubting themselves, blindly guessing their decisions and learning how to build the fated bond marks. Ariadne is blossoming and coming into her strengths, led more by the instincts of her nature, than any knowledge, slowly turning into the anchor, her packmates need. Our unlikely ragtag bunch of alphas are surprisingly well adapting to the all changes they face, all the challenges they have to tackle and all the unknowns that constantly pop up. As wanted fugitives, danger is their constant shadow and fighting for their lives is a daily occurrence. Ariadne has already added 3 alphas to her harem - Fin, Taj and the last one Kiearan, while following the path to leave the borders of the Empire, keeping tight lid on the hope that they will one day find allies and some safety. Dear, confused Kiaran has wormed a cosy place in my heart amongst my favourite characters and his patent : "Permission to touch" often left me gasping and snorting through a fit of laugher. Finnan is desperately clinging to his past as a priest using it as a pillar in a sea of uncertainty and shocking changes that follow in rapid succession. He shows admirable resilience and willingness to adapt. And then there is Taj - the so precious balance and guidance their whole group needs.
I enjoyed the whole story and the way the plot unfolds but hope to see more bonding time in the next book and more of the effect the return of the fae will have on the world building. So Ariadne, see you on the other side and farewell!.

Ariadne is suffering with her near omega heat that can only be remedied by her alpha mates.
If only they would actually give in to the desires that seem to plague each of them and soothe all of their fires.
When she is snatched by a wild berserker, she worries that he will kill her as she understands that these men don't have any rules or usual feelings...until she discovers this is another of her mates.
Kiaran may be dirty, a grunter and rough but he actually is everything she could want.
Travelling to safety is their goal but taking the next step with practical strangers you feel an unnatural pull for is crazy.
Will they all head out together?
Will they all make it to safety when they must travel through enemy territory?
After the first book, I was so intrigued to see how this would continue and it didn't disappoint in any way.
Finnen continues to be a grump and Taj is still a wind up who manages to make male on male scenarios amusing yet sexy.
I loved the introduction properly to our wild man who isn't quite as uncivilised as first thought and who is just as protective of his mates.
I adored the interactions in this book with some of them making me laugh and some making my eyes mist.
This is like the fish course in a gourmet meal that just keeps on giving for that once in a lifetime food you'll never experience again.

The Awesomeness Continues 🙌🏻
So, just when you thought you had a handle on what was going on…ummm, no you don’t lol. Ari’s journey as an unexpected omega wasn’t easy, in any way, during the 1st book (man is she stubborn), but compared to what she goes through in this one, the 1st book was a cake walk. Watching the struggles (both individually and together) she and her mates’ (previous and new ones) go through is both heart warming and heartbreaking all at the same time. I do have to mention that it was awesome seeing the relationship growth between Fin & Taj (yep y’all know what we mean 👀😍🔥), and as if you thought Ari’s mates couldn’t get better….BAM, helllllo Kiaran (is there a way to pull that amazingly wonderful wild man out of the book so I can keep him 😝). The twists and turns that this story takes you on are exciting and unpredictable, which makes for an amazing journey as a reader. I tried really hard to make this as vague as possible, because if you wanna know details (and after the 1st book, you know you do) then you need to read the story 😉😝 I absolutely can not wait for the next 2 books. I’m going crazy over here needing to know what happens, especially after that cliffhanger 🤯😧😮

After the cliffhanger ending, book 2 has started to come into its own and the storyline is picking up. Ariadne is starting to learn more about herself and accept who she really is. I felt she was a much better character in this story, her character is slowly developing throughout the story and how she interacts with her alpha males.
The clan is starting to come together, with the introduction of the Wildman Kiaran and Fin with Taj working together to find Ariadne. Soon, all of the characters meet again and Ari omega feelings go into overdrive.
I found her, and she accepted me, wanted me, kept me. Freed me from my miserable freedom, made me a part of this family.
All in all, the story is starting to come together and with the characters feeling more established now with new ones still to come you can see. I like where this is heading, more is happening and it will be interesting to see how this keeps on developing.

All love it equal as boundaries are tested and beliefs are tried. Who they once were was a lie and finding out who they are now is going to take more than a leap of faith. It's going to take each of these characters working together to not only overcome the hardships and hang-ups that may prevent them from truly commenting to this new life and each other, but also learning to adapt to the new situations that surround them in the world around since the world seems to have it or for them.
Each character finds that moment that either makes or breaks the relationships they are building. I like that the author takes the time to build that within the group so that it isn't only 'sex,sex,sex'. Makes for a more believable plot given the extreme conditions they are experiencing.
Can't wait to read the next and see how captivity and separation is handled.

‘Unlikely Alphas’ picks up where book 1 of Hunted Fae ends. Mona Black creates a whimsical narrative as Ari, Finnen, Taj, and now Kiaran work through the mystery of Fae blooded omega and alphas. They know very little, but they discover new physical traits, spiritual qualities, and have very strange dreams as their journey to a safe haven becomes more dangerous.
Mona’s saga is full of hope for a future, growing their family, and finding a home that’s safe. Ari and her men explore passion and intimacy as her body becomes more aware of the need to mate. The scents, the sexual tension, and curiosity overwhelms them at times. Their worst fear becomes reality as Finnen is captured by the military. The cliffhanger has him waiting for execution and he receives aid from another mate. I can’t wait to see how many mates Ari ends up with in their family!.

Unlikely Alphas by Mona Black is book two in the Hinted Fae Series. It’s a Fated Mates Fantasy why-choose Romance. You must read the first book because this picks up directly after the cliffhanger from that book. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book because I really enjoyed the first one so I was looking forward to this one as well. It didn’t disappoint. But I’m a fan of Mona Black’s writing so this was a no brainer for me. I read the book cover to cover in a day, it once again had me hooked from the beginning chapters. It didn’t let up until the final line. And the cliffhanger at the end of this book, I now need book three! I enjoyed this one as it had a few funny moments and it seems the mate bond is finally being accepted. And the spice was definitely some top tier reading. It definitely took me on a ride. I can’t wait to read more in this series.

Each book keeps getting me that more obsessed about this series. I cannot get enough. This book was a bit different as the arthur said with each book Ariadne would find her mates well in this one she’s found herself a wildman or Drakayos as their known part man and part wild this one though he's different. He's unapologetic in what he wants granted he's since then learned about getting permission to touch🤣oh boy that was rich with Fin. Meet Kiaran aka Kia he's been alone ever since he was taken out to the mountains and left and managed to stay alive waiting for someone when Ariadne and her guy's show up and he takes her little did he know that they'd chase after her. As Ariadne heat grows closer these 4 can't catch a break as they keep running into trouble having to flee for their lives, but now one's been taken, so now they're on a rescue mission. Will they get there in time? It does end on not to bad of a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to find out what's going to happen next.

In this second book, Ariadne's harem is beginning to form. They know, however, that there is at least one more alpha needed to complete the pack. At the end of this book, we learn who that may be leading the way into the next book, "Unlikely Bonds" which will be released in November, 2023.
I love all of the characters in this series, both the males that comprise the harem as well as the fmc, Ariadne. They are so different from each other while having the same genetic history distinguishing them all as fae. Their quest to be accepted and not persecuted made me appreciate their struggles to survive.
The author has their own style which makes this read extremely satisfying. The editing is very good and there are only a couple of proofreading errors that I am sure will be easily corrected. There is graphic sex in this book, including MF as well as some MM groping. There is a cliffhanger that promises the introduction of the next spoke in the harem wheel.

Oh, this was good! I got a bit bored in the beginning of the first book because it felt so slow-paced and had so much information crammed into each paragraph, but this book definitely held my attention. I started reading this at 1 pm and took my time to enjoy the smut, the action, the drama (but mostly the smut) and ended the book at exactly 5:55 pm. So what exactly did I like about this book? Well...
1. Kiaran.
2. Taj having a kink for being ordered around.
3. Finnen and Taj arguing all the time.
4. The scene in the cave where Ariadne and Kiaran are getting ready to take a bath.
5. The scene with the bathtubs in the motel.
6. Finnen's sarcastic blind puns - my favourite is this: “Are you going to ask me if I see double?"
7. Kiaran when he keeps yelling out, "Permission!"
8. "I prepared a curriculum for him and Kiaran." I love Taj so much.

When I got the email that this was available, I RAN to get my hands on it. After the way the first one ended, I just had to know what happened next.
I was a little concerned that after how much I loved the first one, this one wouldn't be able to live up to it but that wasn't a problem at all!
I loved how easily and well Kiaran integrated into their clan as well as how Finnan is finally letting his walls down a little. I like the fact that the author has kept Finnan so hesitant, because I think it's a realistic response to his situation and the drastic change from priest to this.
As always, I can't wait for the next book and look forward to getting that email again!

In this second installment, there are still so many unanswered questions and plenty of turmoil. The group comes back together and starts trying to find their way to some semblance of safety. (I'm still floored that they took the risk of going into a town. It seems to me like they would avoid that decision just on instinct.) As you might imagine, things get a bit chaotic and one of their group is taken, laying out the scene for what is to come in part 3. There is still so much for the group and the reader to learn about this world and what might be happening with a "return of the fae" prophecy. I very much look forward to the next installment!.

I came into book two with the leftover excitement from book one. And expected it to take off running. Instead what I got was a slow burn that is still confusing. The “matings” need to be reworked, the drama isn’t flowing well with the storyline and it throws the reader off, you aren’t sure where the author is taking you. If Aride is this prophecy omega there should be learning opportunities for her to truly see what is wrong in order to develop a plan to fix it. By book two she should at least be in a town or village meeting people, seeing the problem first hand, or talking with a wise fae elder learning what happened. The series is dragging along and I’m not sure I want to stay on for the ride.

Unlikely Alphas is the 2nd book in the Hunted Fae series. Make sure you read the 1st book in the series as this book starts right where book 1 left off. Ariadne is taken by the mysterious wildman, leaving Taj and Finnen to search for her. While in captivity, Ariadne tries to understand the changes she is going through as well as her current situation and how to escape. After reuniting with Taj and Finnen, they continue their journey South. Will they avoid trouble during their journey? Will Ariadne stumble upon other Fated Mate Alphas along the way? This book also ends in a cliffhanger. Can't wait for the 3rd book!!.

This is the second part of the four part "Hunted Fae" series. It does end with a dread cliffhanger that keeps you on edge with what will happen next. A prophecy speaks of the return of the Fae do to a Fae-blooded omega. Ariadne was left at the temple when she was young. She has devoted her life to the Goddess and the temple. Finn, a priest, arrives and things start getting weird. First, he has Fae blood. Second, Ariadne learns she is an Omega. Third, they are both sentenced to death. When they escape they come face to face with Taj, commander of the army. This is a good addition to the series. I like how this series is developing. I like the witty banter in the story. I look forward to finding out what happens next.

This is book 2 of the Hunted Fae series and wow oh wow, so much spice! At the end of book 1 Ariadne is taken by the Wildman and the guys go in search of her. In a turn of events the Wildman is another mate. This gives you action, shock, kidnapping and more mates added into their clan. Ariadne heat is coming on by being around her mates and they are all having reactions to it and not understanding, but finally give in to the sexual nature of it. This book does end on a cliffhanger that is begging to read the next one as soon as possible. I can't wait to read book 3 and see how the story continues.

Can I just say WOW!
Just finished reading this book and my lord do I want a Kiaran in my life 😏😉😏
This book literally picks up where book 1 left us. We see that the Wildman just wanted the little omega safe.
We also see a development between Fin and Taj 👀👀👀🤗
I truly love it when Finn shows his caring side instead of his “I’m a priest and I shouldn’t” attitude.
Adriadne is finally or kinda-ish 😂accepting the truth but damn is she stubborn.
And THE DAMN CLIFFHANGER HAD ME THROWING MY PHONE AND FREAKING OUT CAUSE I THOUGHT I BROKE IT🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So worth the read and can’t wait for the next book. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
