Still grieving the death of her husband and baby daughter nearly six years ago, Mary Faith O'Rourke walks into an antique store, puts on a ring, and everything changes. Suddenly she has gone back in time to that fateful night and stopped their deaths. Fast forward to the present and Mary once again has Daniel and Little Hope in her life. But there is a stranger who has the power to hurt Mary with his actions. If he succeeds, Mary may lose everything again.
Sharon Sala is a hit or miss author for me. This one was a BIG MISS. Mary spent the first 100 pages believing she was dreaming. Then she thought that she must be dead and this was heaven since she was so happy to have her family back. Finally, when the story took an abrupt turn with a stranger stalking Mary's daughter. It wasn't believable at all, but it at least kept my interest. So, I'm giving this book one star for the awful plot/characters with an additional half star for the suspense plot. My rating 1.5 Stars.
I first read this book circa 2003/2004 and at the time I recall feeling that it was the best thing I'd ever read. Time and some good prescription drugs have made me realise that actually, it was just an ok book. I will still give it four stars just for making me feel so good at the time. Plus I wrote to Harlequin telling them how wonderful I thought the book was ffs, so I can hardly give it an average score now can I? Sigh... love you Ms Sala.
I'll admit to being a bit confused for a bit, but when I put aside my questions and read the story, it was really good. The parts that could be answered were. I just need to learn to enjoy it all. LOL
Sweet verging on sappy story about Mary whose husband and daughter were killed in a car accident. She is able to do the day all over again and finds out that God had a reason for having go back and then fast forward to the present. She doesn't remember a lot, some of it comes to her bits and pieces, but with the past 6 years without them and then having them again, she's a stronger different woman and is able to help in a tragedy that takes place in her new present time. Huh?!? These time travel stories are confusing. This is the first Sharon Sala book I've read.
Yea it's one of those books that set your mood. But shouldn't every book. While I was reading this I really felt like I was there watching the whole thing. Books like this are hard to find. It was easy to read, and easy to get into. I wasn't wondering "what I'll do today" while I was reading it. It's a must read! I loved it. Period.
At the start of the story, it was a bit confusing to me. I wondered if I was going to be able to finish it. I kept going because I love Sharon Sala. She is always been a wonderful writer and always come through for me. I was glad that I kept going, because the more I read the more I enjoyed it. Give it a chance! You won’t regret it.
I wasn’t sure if I liked the story line when I started this book. But the characters were fantastic and so was the rest of the book. It had a very serious storyline . Thanks for this great read I really enjoyed the book and the ending was awesome.
Moving and inspiring book. I love second chance time travel stories and when there is deeper meaning to the traveler’s journey, it makes it even better.
The book has some unique twists and made for intriguing reading. The plot is definitely in the paranormal category, which she writes far better than most.
A young woman, still distraught from the car accident that took her husband and baby girl from her six years later, wanders into an antique store. She tries on an antique ring and subsequently faints. She awakens in a world that includes her husband and daughter six years later.
If you could turn the hands of time back and could do it over again would and would you do it differently. Mary Faith got that chance and did she mad right where there was wrong. This story has you thinking about life and what could happen in a blink of an eye. Beautiful story loved it. Sharon Sala dose again A top notch story that has you turning the pages till the end then saying man that wS a great book.
