A very, very basic guide to hamsters - too basic to the point where it defeats the point of this book actually helping someone in getting their first hamster and having all of the information they would need to do so. If you just want to learn some brief, more beginner than beginner information about owning a hamster than go ahead, give this book a read, but if you want to read it because you genuniley want or are getting a hamster, then either a.) don't read it at all or b.) read at least like 2 more LEGIT books on hamster care.

I had to read this book before my parents would let me have a hamster. I read it from cover to cover.
