I'm honestly not invested enough to even write out a full review, so I'm just pasting the notes I took as I read this one:
"He had worked hard to earn his place within the pack, to prove himself worthy of his father's legacy. He had even sacrificed the love of his life to accomplish it."
He doesn't deserve her. He chose his pack over her from the very beginning, even choosing to agree to marry a stranger from her pack (that he didn't know was her) in the name of duty, giving her up completely. No one involved in her being the chosen bride knew they'd end up together, so if it hadn't just happened to be her, he never would have chosen her at all.
When he goes to meet his bride to be, he's both "excited and terrified." THIS is a man in love with someone he tragically can't be with? I hate him already.
He keeps saying over and over "the love I once had for her." This is only a year after he had planned to be with her for the rest of his life, and now his love for her is a thing of the past? He would have gone on to marry anyone else if it hadn't happened to be her the marriage was arranged with, and he wouldn't have made any other choice because he was still just set on doing his duty.
Random name in the wrong spot. Random switching between first person and third person multiple times on the same pages.
He lets his ex, who he knows wants him back, touch him suggestively while they talk and does nothing about it.....
He also stands by while she constantly puts the FMC down, just saying a few things once to get her to stop and then leaving it, saying she'll realize sooner or later that she needs to suddenly respect the FMC, but of course that doesn't happen.

Oldest trick in the book: the girl who has been outspoken and rude about her since day one brings her a drink with something odd smelling in it and apologizes, and she just drinks it and opens up to her telling her what she hasn't told other kinder pack members? Of course that drink was laced and the apology fake. Smh. She drugged her and tried to murder the FMC, but when she's killed by the FMC instead, the pack is angry with the FMC for losing her? Ok....
Even at the end the FMC is harping on about how the MMC caused her pain and she shouldn't trust him, and usually I'd applaud taking that long and making him sweat...but sis didn't make him sweat at all. She took him back on day one and just internally fretted like she didn't just give in the moment she saw him again. I don't want to hear her complain over and over when she's BEEN back together with him the entire time.
He's so adamant that he's choosing her now, but not choosing her would conflict with his duty and tear apart their packs' tentative peace, so we'll never know if he'd actually have ever chosen her.
I hate them both. The baby is only mentioned when she's needed for the storyline. She breastfeeds her once in chapter 1 and then never again the entire story. She's alone often in the book, but only twice does she mention who is watching the baby, even though the two people she knows are at the other events she's at during other times in the story. There's one scene where she's nervous to leave the baby alone for the first time, but every time after that she's alone and we have no idea where the baby is because she's not needed for the story right then. A howl made by the MMC in her chapter but not made by the MMC in his chapter when his events overlap hers. She talks about playing with her older brother as children, but then we find out her brother raised her when her parents died and she was a baby. We never find out how much older the brother is. We never find out how old the baby is, even though she's hinted to be about 3 months at the beginning, but later acts much older, abl to interact with adults and reach for people, and even stand at one point. In the beginning, the MMC had been gone for 1 year, but later says they hadn't been together in "years." Other inconsistencies I don't care to mention.
A cartoon villain mean girl villain.
Unnecessary OW drama is the only source of angst for this entire story. Everything else, including their relationship issues after his betrayal and leaving her pregnant and alone, are basically solved the first time they meet.
We have no idea how much time passes in the story. It seemed like less than a week that she was living with the other pack, but had to have been more than that.

sehr schöne Liebesgeschichte ,die allen Hindernissen zum Trotz gut aus geht.
Holly ist schwanger von Ram ,der als neues Mitglied inihr Wolfsrudel kam .Doch bevor sie ihm von der Schwangerschaft erzählen kann ist Ram verschwunden . Damit nicht genug ,er war ein Spion eines anderen Rudels. Nun muss Holly, obwohl sie die Schwester des Alphas ist in ständiger Angst leben ,denn in ihrem Rudel ist sie nun eine Außenseiterin,noch dazu mit Kind .
Um einen Krieg zu verhindern geht Hollys Bruder eine Allianz mit dem anderen Rudel ein und als Friedensgarant soll Holly einen der höheren Wölfe heiraten.
Widerstrebend geht Holly darauf ein und auch Ram wird von seinemVater gezwungen zum Friedenserhalt die Frau aus dem anderen Rudel zu heiraten.
Beide haben keine Ahnung das sie nun auf einander treffen und besonders Ram erlebt eine große Überraschung ,denn mit Mia hat er nicht gerechnet.

Having read a few of the later books in this series, I can say that I am extremely grateful that this author’s writing seems to have improved over them.
This is a pretty typical shifter romance, the main couple is cute, it’s overall a good read. But there are section where the prose is SO overwrought it’s like reading a bad assignment from a Freshman creative writing class. Here a few examples:
“The tailored tuxedo hugged his broad shoulders and tapered down to his trim waist, accentuating his masculine physique. The jet-black fabric exuded an air of sophistication and timeless elegance, making him feel like a true gentleman. The crisp lines and flawless stitching spoke of the craftsmanship that went into creating such a masterpiece. The jacket’s lapels framed his chest, drawing attention to his strong, confident frame. The perfectly tailored pants draped over his legs, elongating his silhouette and adding a touch of refined charm. The white dress shirt beneath the jacket was impeccably pressed, contrasting beautifully with the black ensemble. A black satin bow tie rested at his collar, adding a touch of dashing style. The cufflinks, shimmering subtly under the soft glow of the bar lights, added a hint of personal flair, a reflection of his unique taste.”
“She was a vision of scattered grace, draped in a gown that seemed to be woven from moonbeams and dreams. The delicate fabric flowed around her like a cascade of white petals, elegant and weightless. The bodice hugged her body, accentuating her slender waist and soft curves. Embroidered lace adorned the gown, delicate patterns that intertwined like a love story written in thread. Each intricate detail spoke of unerring craftsmanship and artistry. Sparkling crystals nestled within the lace, catching the light and scattering it like stars against the night sky. The dress trailed behind her, a sweeping train that whispered across the floor, leaving a trail of enchantment in its wake. It seemed to float from her as if carried by unseen hands, adding a touch of whimsy to her every step.”
Like, we get it. They’re dressed up. Detail is good, but this level of detail is just over the top. And not everything has to be a metaphor for something! The language in the book was just so tortured at times i found myself skimming. But like I said, it gets better in the later books, thankfully!

The reading timeline starts after they fall in love and have the falling out so we don’t get to see the initial build-up. We come in at the point where they start the second chance bit and he needs to figure out how to grovel for leaving while she suffers that push-pull of I love you but I don’t like you right now.
There’s OW drama in the form of a jealous ex being petty and trying to unalive the FMC because….”he’s mine even though he’s made it clear he doesn’t want me”. There’s a new best friend who seems to be highlighted for the introduction to the next book, a few scenes that are of the unclothed nature but not waterfall in your pants strength and a near death experience that finally brings the push-pull to an end. The child involved felt like a prop to further some situations, not really much to do with anything.
I wouldn’t say there is really anything memorable about this story (except that the MMC is named Ram-which I strongly disliked) but it’s put together okay. It’s two people, wolves, who go through a bad thing or two and then eventually figure things out and end up together. It’s a pretty cookie cutter style plot, but I'm not sure it will satisfy a craving for the rejected mates or secret baby trope. Neither really rejects each other and the second he comes into contact with the baby, early on in the book, he knows she's his and he is all in.

Holly & Ram
Eine kurze aber schöne Geschichte über Wolfswandler, mit einem leichten Schreibstil und wechselnder Erzählperspektive beider Protagonisten.
Vorab muss ich sagen das die Handlungen sehr schnell verlaufen und alles sehr rasant geht. Hier dreht sich alles um eine zweite Chance zwischen Holly und Ram die eine gemeinsame Vergangenheit haben und das mehr als einer Hinsicht.
Holly ist eine starke und liebevolle Frau, die für ihr altes und neues Rudel, sowie ihrer Familie und Tochter alles run würde und sehr beschüzerisch ist. Dennoch ist sie hilfsbereit und offen für ihr neues Rudel.
Ram ist ein Mann der mir manchmal etwas zu zögerlich und schwach für einen zukünftigen Alpha erscheint. Ich konnte ihn mir in seiner zukünftigen Position nicht wirklich vorstellen... Auch wenn er ziemlich gut kämpfen kann. Er versucht seinen Fehler aus der Vergangenheit wieder gut zu machen und vorallem für seine Tochter eine gute Ebene zu finden ohne Holly zu bedrängen.
Es passiert einiges und doch gibt es nur wenig Details und es bleibt eher oberflächlich.
Schade fand ich auch das man die Wut und Enttäuschung sowie die Vorsicht von Holly gegenüber Ram nicht wirklich spüren und sehen konnte beim Lesen. Auch wenn es eher eine kurze Geschichte ist und alles sehr schnelllebig gehalten ist, so hätte ich mir diese Emotionen deutlicher gewünscht.

It would have been a good storyline but for the inconsistent details and the 'overly flowery' language. I kept rolling my eyes.
They said it was years but the baby was still an infant when they got back together, 18 months at best.
You were just warned off your fiance's crazy ex but then you accept a suspicious smelling drink from her.
And the friend who warned you off the crazy ex, then does nothing when the crazy ex quickly leaves the party right after you drinking some of the suspicious smelling drink.

This was my second book by the author. It seems that all of her books have a pregnancy element.
This could have fit well with the other book I read by the author, even though it was a separate series. The main characters talked to each other and I felt that was a great way to build a relationship. You kind of knew where the problem would come from so it was no surprise when the climax happened.
I was kind of surprised that the brother that seemed to adore her would try to force her into a marriage, but otherwise, it was good.

Started strong but eh
Had high hopes for this book. It has one of my favorite tropes (secret baby). It started out good and held my attention but then it trickled down until it was just hard to finish. I just didn’t get it.
Had high hopes for this book. It has one of my favorite tropes (secret baby). It started out good and held my attention but then it trickled down until it was just hard to finish. This book was okay. It wasn't the best supernatural book, but it wasn't the worst. My problem was with the beginning. It was because a pack of wolves were going to cause harm to a newborn cub because of a parents betrayal. Then, by the end of the book, all was good. Yes, it's a happy ending, but as a mother, if you try to harm my child, I will not help or forgive you.

Wolf shifter story
Well to be honest, it was hard to get into it at first but towards the end it did get better. I mean this is a bit different then my others with wolf shifter related reading. Its Silk good tho. Since I started blue I have to finish the series which I believe is quite alot in this series.😊

The story wasn’t padded out enough we needed to know what actually happened in the pack as this would have been a hood starting point to understand

Was für ein Auftakt zu einer neuen Reihe, unglaublich gut gelungen.
Beide Protagonisten sind authentisch beschrieben, man kann sich sehr gut in beide hineinversetzen und ihre Handlungen sind klar nachvollziehbar.
Das Setting ist perfekt gewählt und sehr anschaulich beschrieben, man hat sofort alles vor Augen beim Lesen.
Ram und Holly verlieben sich und doch stimmt etwas nicht mit Ram, er hat ein Geheimnis und als diese rauskommt, verlässt er sie. Sie bleibt zurück und ist zu all dem auch noch schwanger. Ihr Bruder beschließt, dass sie eine Zwangsehe mit dem benachbarten Rudel eingehen muss, zum einen wird der Bann geknüpft und man wird stärker mit den Verbündeten.
Tja, bis sie sieht wen sie heiraten soll, er ist der Vater ihres Kindes und hat sie nie vergessen. Zu allem Überfluss kommt auch noch seine Ex mit ins Spiel. Wird Holly ihm das verzeihen können? Werden sie eine Zukunft haben? Wie wird es mit den beiden weitergehen? Droht noch eine Gefahr?
Ein unglaublich starker Beginn der Reihe und ich bin gespannt, wie es weiter gehen wir.
Eine ganz klare Kauf-Leseempfehlung.
Die 5 Sterne hat dieser Teil mehr wie verdient.
