The Dorm Mistake: A Sports Romance

Rate this book
A sizzling college sports romance perfect for fans of The Deal and After .

Tyler
I WAS USED TO MY NAME CAUSING ISSUES. Light teasing, confused glances from teachers, and questioning glares from my peers. I didn’t expect my name to cause enough confusion to land me in the men’s dorms. Luckily for me, my roommate is the pompous, arrogant, football quarterback, Noah Bradford. He’s a player on and off the field. I’m not into that no matter what tricks he tries, how hot he is, or how he protects me every chance he gets.

Noah
TYLER BECOMING MY ROOMMATE MUST’VE BEEN A HORRIBLE PRANK. She’s the only girl not interested in me, but I won’t let that stop me from trying. I’ll try to break her walls to let me in, but she’ll try to break my emotional ones, and I’m not ready to handle that. I don’t date for a reason. But when I have her for the first time, I find myself forgetting that reason, and throwing the rule away. Once I’ve had her, I can’t go back.

It was a cute read! The story was unique, the spice was good, the fun characters, overall a good read!

I did find a few grammatical errors. I forgot what they were, but they were small things. There was one chapter that said it was from Noah's POV, but I really think it was Tyler's... unless I'm dumb lol but I was very confused.

Another thing, the plot felt a little bit rushed and all over the place. Left me really confused at times. Maybe dates could have helped? Not sure... but I did tend to get lost

The spice is great, but once a significant piece connects, there is just a LOT of spice. Which isn't awful, don't get me wrong, but I got tired of it pretty quickly, considering how back-to-back it was.

Ugh.
So many spelling mistakes and sentences that just didn’t make sense.
Some things were so dragged out and then others - seemingly important things- would just be mentioned in passing. Made it 65% of the way before I just skipped to the end.

Ashely never disappoints this may not be one of her dark romances but it still amazing and packs a punch and deals with alot of trauma aswell and how we don't let our history define us

Not great. Lots of inconsistency throughout the book. it was very very rushed and certain parts would’ve been way better if they took the time to write more. it seems like a knockoff and rushed version of beautiful disaster by jamie lee, which i actually enjoyed ! very similar storyline and characters/character backstories

Really well done, had a good story and likable main characters. I felt the side characters were a bit underwhelming but they aren't the focus so it didn't detract too much from the book as a whole. Noah and Tyler were well written and I liked the plot. I read this book until 430 in the morning one night because I was just invested. Highly recommend!

Not too shabby. There were some plot holes and things that didn't make since... It was a quick read and I felt some stuff could have used more detail or more conscious thought behind it but it wasn't that bad. It was cute and I wouldn't mind knowing more about how everything played out after college.

Just so-so. Very disjointed. Thoughts and timeline didn’t always flow well. While there was lots of spicy scenes, the chemistry between the characters was lackluster. The only drama/plot point that happened occurred over the course of 3 total pages. Characters could have used a lot more depth.

Good girl Tyler Thompson encounters real life issues and has her first whirlwind romance her first semester in college. What a cute book. Ashley’s books are always a fun read!

I devoured this book. When I like an author's writings I tend to read as many as possible and this one was the 3rd of Ashley's I read. I was a little worried it would be cliche' like most college level romances but, color me surprised when there was a touch of devious intent and a little BDSM as well. It kept me interested and reading the whole time.
