I’m entering an arranged marriage with a possessive alpha wolf. He’s twice my age and a rude biker to boot. I’m nervous of what he’ll do to me when we’re alone. I’m still a virgin, but my psychic visions tell me I won’t be for long…
He never wanted a mate, let alone one as young and inexperienced as me. I want to be strong, but he intimidates me. He tells me that he’ll come for me when he needs me. He says I should be ready for him at any time.
His distant attitude makes me feel lonely and hurt, but I won’t show it. When he touches me in the dark, our bond forges, whether he wants it or not. His touch gives me visions of what’s about to come. His kiss tells me that he’ll claim my body until I’m exhausted.
Do I dare surrender to the rude alpha?
The small town of Stardust Hollow is full of wolves who will fight to protect you, howl to impress you, and claim your lips to win your love. Because a true wolf won’t let go until he gets what he wants…his mate.
Lyra Atlas was born in Oakland to an English mother and Scottish dad who passed on to her their fascination with the Arthurian Legends and other tales of famous kings and queens. Unsurprisingly, Lyra developed a penchant for court love and everything that’s magical and mystical—and this seeps into her writing. Her stories often feature powerful alphas braved by quietly seductive females and other unexpected, inspiring heroines.
Lyra lives with her partner Mark in San Diego, and cherishes their daily strolls along the Strand. When looking for inspiration, she goes for a hike in the charming mountain town of Julian where she will lose herself observing the Victorian-style houses and quaint stores, envisioning stories of bygone lovers, their stolen hearts, kisses and touches.
So far this book is boring. At 27%, I have yet to read any shifter material other than the characters claiming to be wolves and pack hierarchy. But as yet not one mention of their inner wolf, or any instincts such as heightened senses like smell or hearing, or most importantly the instinct of meeting your mate. This plot is like any other nonPNR story of two people agreeing to an arrangement for money and politics but then one of them getting cold feet and acting like they were forced into it. That would be the MMC, the “ALPHA” (phff) btw, who proceeds to act like an immature child running away from his wedding because ONE person was rude to him. He then thinks how he will divorce the FMC once the alliance has truly taken hold between the packs, but then says they have a lifetime to get to know each other. This same alpha child has an issue with the FMC being so young, which is funny as he is the one who is throwing tantrums and demanding that the FMC be invisible in his life and house until he needs her. Yeah, lead man material right there.
I don’t see anything special in this story. The shifter references are a gimmick to get PNR lovers to read this crap but it is NOT a real shifter story. It’s basically shifter in name/title only. Good luck.
Bailey is loyal to her pack and when Ram, her Alpha asks for a volunteer to marry a member of a pack they are joining to make them stronger, she is happy to be the one. Daniel agreed to the marriage, bride unseen, for the best of his pack, but when he sees her, he sees a young woman that probably married him because he is the Alpha, but oh how wrong is he! He tries to push her away and tells her to leave him alone, even sleeping in different rooms, but Bailey is determined to get through to him and have a real marriage. This romance was so enjoyable: Bailey may be young but she is strong and loyal, and determined; Daniel is loyal too but also very grumpy and thinks his age makes a true marriage impossible due to their age gap. There are fireworks between Bailey and Daniel, a rogue group out to take over the packs, and of course some hot sex scenes. A thoroughly enjoyable read. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
Another enjoyable shifter story in this series. This is a shifter older man shifter biker romance story that is about Daniel and what happens when he agreed to get married for the better of his pack and meets Bailey who volunteered when Ram, her alpha asked. Daniel who sees his young wife for the first time keeps pushing her away thinking she married him for his possible alpha position, but Bailey is determined to prove herself innocent of his charges and have a real marriage. As their attraction grows stronger, will Daniel accept Bailey as his mate? Liked the characters, storyline was interesting, the romance steamy in this copy I'd received and volunteer to review.
A fast paced and drama filled shifter romance story with arranged marriage, age gap, betrayals, supernatural gifts, mate bonds, and spicy romance. When a grumpy Alpha, and a compassionate and loyal she-wolf are pulled together through an arranged marriage to join their packs together, it seems like fate might be intervening. Their relationship is full of drama, chaos and fireworks as they try to work together and fight for or against the magnetic attraction they feel. Navigating pack politics is further complicated when traitors are discovered in both packs and threaten to destroy everything. Interesting characters, dramatic plot, twists and steamy romance.
A female wolf shifter and a male alpha wolf shifter!
A female wolf shifter volunteers to marry someone from the other pack that her's has merged with. She doesn't know who he is or anything about him. The alpha of one of the merged packs has agreed to do whatever is necessary to make the merged packs work. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. There are rebels in the packs who want to tear everything apart. Read and find out who all are involved. Happy reading!

Daniel in this seemed to be a big jerk for the first part of the story. Bailey put up with more than she should have, and was constantly trying to make peace. Neither character matched what I had seen of them from other books. Bailey in book 1 was caring, Bailey in book 2 was a power grabbing B*, and then in this one she's self-sacrificing. The true bad-guy isn't apprehended.
H: Alpha Daniel h: Bailey Monroe Ram alpha of Stardust Hollow Pack decided to join as one with Daniel from Cassville Pack. They will operate as co-alphas. This is the most confusing thing I have ever heard. I feel Daniel is a horrible Alpha, he has no great qualities which shows that he is a great alpha. He is impulsive, weak & childish. I couldn't even finish this book. I stopped at chapter 15.
This series is amazing, Just finished the 3rd book and I love how each book is “telling the story” and finishing out each relationship and while I am only done with the third book, each one shows how the packs started and build to get stronger. Wanting you to read the next challenge Asap. you won’t be disappointed
An age difference shouldn't have any bearing on an arranged marriage to firm a pack alliance but Daniel is doubtful. Bailey has a gift that eventually paves the way to overcome Daniel's doubts and safeguard the pack. Good story!
I enjoyed the book. It was an interesting take but I followed it and it was nice that Bailey was tough even through her insecurities and Daniel finally came to it.
