The Fake Engagement . . .

Ava Lee is struggling to pay her father’s medical bills. She was not expecting the offer of a solution for her problems. Nathan Scott is a wealthy man, the twin brother of her best friend Charlotte. She doesn’t particularly like Nathan since she has always seen him as arrogant and self-centered. But when his father insists on an arranged marriage with Isabella as a business opportunity, he needs to prevent that from moving forward and he needs Ava’s help to make it go away. He and Ava may not like each other, but he trusts her. Knowing about her difficulty with the medical bills, he offers to pay off her debt if she will agree to live with him as his fake fiancée for a year. They agree that the arrangement is strictly business, no feelings allowed. Yet living together gives them a chance to see another side of each other. Will they decide to make their relationship real? Will they take the chance to accept the HEA that seems to be waiting for them?

This book is SO cute! I’m a slow reader but I was able to finish this book in less than a day because the story was so fun & sweet. I’m very glad to have been part of this arc & read about Ava & Nathan.
Ava & Nathan have known each other since they were kids and Ava is Nathan’s sister’s best friend. When Nathan’s father tries to force Nathan to marry a girl he doesn’t have any feeling or interest in he decides to fake an engagement with Ava because he trusts her and knows she could keep this fake relationship going until dad backs down.
This book shows that even though you may think you know someone they can still surprise you.
A little spicy, I’d give it 1 1/2 chilies for spice but definitely worth reading.

Ava and Charlotte have been best friends their whole lives and Nathan is Charlotte's twin brother. Ava is having trouble raising enough money to help with her father's medical situation. When Nathan is threatened with an arranged marriage by his father, he plots a fake engagement with someone he trusts and will not get feelings, plus he can help her with the bills she has - Ava. They agree and the adventure begins. Loved the characters and the relationship that slowly forms as their real personas come through. Terrific storyline with plenty of ups and downs, as well as the deep feelings that grow. Totally enjoyed the book all the way to the great ending.

This was my first book by Eva and I enjoyed it. It was an engaging story. There were some fun interactions between Nathan and Ava. It was so good to see them transform from enemies to lovers throughout the story. Although I missed some interactions between Ava and Charlotte when she was having her fake relationship and would confine in het best friend.
I loved how caring they both were towards each other. Near the end I found Nathan to be very emotional, I’m not used to this for the main character…
But nevertheless it was an enjoyable story.

This is the first book in the Don't Fall Series, but can be read as a standalone. Nathan is wealthy, gorgeous and arrogant. To escape an arranged marriage, he convinces me to be his fake fiancé for a year. In return, he'll pay for my father's medical bills. This was a good book, and it was fun to watch Ava and Nathan go from enemies to lovers. Sweet, how caring he became. Some drama and plenty of steam. Well-developed characters and an engaging story line. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Prepare to be swept away by the charm of Ava and Nathan's fake engagement in this heartwarming story! As a first-time reader of this author, I was instantly captivated by their endearing journey. Their worlds couldn't be more different, and the delightful chaos that ensues as they step into these make-believe roles is both hilarious and heartwarming.

What makes this story truly special is how, with each passing day, they discover hidden facets of each other as their walls gradually crumble. As they navigate the complexities of friendships, family, and work, it becomes clear that the line between fiction and reality begins to blur.

But the most compelling question looms: can they resist the allure of genuine affection in the midst of their counterfeit engagement? This book is a must-read for anyone seeking an enchanting tale filled with laughter, love, and heartfelt moments. I promise you won't be able to put it down.

Ava Lee is struggling with paying her father's medical bills. Her friend Charlotte is aware of her struggles and is looking to see what she can do to help. For business purposes, Nathan, Charlotte's brother, is being pushed into marriage by his father. In order to resist a marriage to someone he doesn't want, he asks Ava Lee to pretend to be his fiance and he he will pay her. She agrees, but what do they do when the feelings aren't fake anymore?

Ava is best friends with Charlotte, the daughter of the building's owners. Ava inherited her apartment from her grandmother. When Charlotte's twin, Nathan, asks Ava to enter a fake engagement, she agrees but only to help her cancer-stricken father. This story includes a controlling dad, and yet it is sweet, sad, romantic, and steamy, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Things don't always work out how you feel like they should. This story is one of those things, just when you have an idea of where it is going - BAM! The author throws a curve ball your way and things change.

The HEA is great in tying up some of the loose ends, but I hope Charlotte gets her love story.

Ava's boss is also her best friend's twin brother. Nathan needs a fake fiance to get him out of an arranged marriage and he suggests that Ava becomes his fake fiance and he pays her father's medical bills. One condition, no real feelings. However, that condition quickly becomes difficult to keep.

Strong and beautiful!

Ava and Nathan!
I love the sound of both their names.
The love the professes to each other is strong. When you reuse one another and overcome the challenges you faced, it’s amazing how far you could reach the full potential of a relationship.

I love this story.
It’s so cute.
I’m fond of romance books.
Thank you for writing this story.

Short story that I finished reading in one sitting. I just didn’t connect with the main characters who were supposed to be adversaries while growing up.

Plus this is the third story I’ve read regarding “old” family money where the MMC’s mother is actually the one who brought the money into the family. And that trope has gotten old as a plot device.

I thought this book was just OK. I wanted more development of their feelings. I felt like it was rushed. Was it good? Yes. Could it have been better? Yes. It was a sweet story, and a favorite trope of mine: best friend's brother/fake dating.

Ava and Nathan are faking an engagement so Nathan can get away from an arranged marriage. What Ava didn't expect was to fall in love all she wanted was her debts paid off by Nathan in return. The book will have you cheering both Ava and Nathan on and in the end they both get their HEA. This book is a must read and a 5 star reading. *****.
