I love Michelle Donn. I’m a big fan of her 40’s and over characters. I was lucky to get an advance copy of The Witness, and just love this new part of the Smith Agency.
Sabrina is a chef who has worked her ass off the last few years to build her brand so she can get her restaurant opened up. While working a catering job, she witnesses a murder. Turns out, it was a very high level criminal and she’s now on the run.
Enter Smith Security strongman, Michael Steel - former biker, 6’5 badass with a soft spot for a woman in trouble.
I was hooked in the first pages of this book and couldn’t put it down. Sabrina and Michael have sparks from the first scene they’re in together, and the chemistry just explodes when they get to Cuba. It’s amazing. Watching their relationship develop in the middle of a terrifying situation was great. Then trying to build on that after the adrenaline is gone is very real.
Love this book, always will recommend Michelle Donn and her GenX romances! Go read it!

No good deed goes unpunished as Sabrina finds out the hard way when she decides to be a witness to a murder. Sabrina’s life was all planned out. She is a chef who is working her way to open up her own restaurant. Everything is on track, the items chosen, and the remodeling of the restaurant space is coming along until the unthinkable happens at a catering job on a yacht. Being protected by the FBI until the people from witness protection show up, you would think would not be an issue…WRONG. Luckily, she has a name and a new person to go to for aid, Smith. Michael is a bodyguard who works at The Smith Agency where Sabrina was sent when her world was upended once again. The chemistry between them is instant and electric to where it feels like he is the only one who can give her some semblance of calm. The journey that they embark on is not an easy path but worth it when all is said and done. Filled with drama, action, and romance it will hold your attention from beginning to end.

As the reader, right away you are sucked into the fast paced beginning and the heroine’s
problems. Chef Sabrina witnesses a crime that she knows she has to report as it’s the correct
thing to do. She also knows that it will be dangerous. Michael traded in his biker past to be a
member of the Smith Agency. From the moment these two meet, sparks fly.
Without giving anything away, I will tell you this book had me anxious and nervous trying to
figure out how the plot all worked out. Even knowing there is an HEA at the end, I still felt all the
nervousness of waiting to find my answer. Michelle has a fantastic writer’s voice and I love the
way she tells her stories. The added humor she inserts is wonderful. I love Captain Morgan!
If you don’t know, Michelle is also an incredible cook and I am so happy she added the
mouthwatering recipes she talks about in the book to the bonus offered at the end of the story.

I am a relatively new reader to this author, but have loved every book I have read. Her seasoned characters, edge of your seat action makes for a thrilling ride.
Sabrina is SO close, she has put in the time, built her business up, and is getting ready to open the doors to her own restaurant. A catering job is about to derail everything, she took a job from a international crime lord, and witnessed the wrong thing. She knows she needs to report what she saw, after her protection fails, she heads to the Smith Agency.
Michael Steel, the muscle for the Smith Agency. He is the first one to find Sabrina, and immediately feels the need to protect her.
Together they run from hired killers and corrupt law enforcement. But all is not serious, the humor is perfectly timed and Captain Morgan. As food is Sabrina’s love language there are lots of conversations around food!

Michelle Donn has written another winner in her Smith Agency's Miami Private Security series. I love how she writes about mature people who still look at life and try to live it to the fullest. Sabrina the FMC is ready to live her dream of owning her own restaurant (a dream she promised to her dead daughter). She is paying her dues, continuing her catering business to fund the restaurant, when she caters for the wrong man, and witnesses a murder. When shots ring out and the FBI is compromised, she is told to run to the Smith Agency, where she falls into the arms of Michael who vows to protect her. They set up the kingpin, but the danger is not over, nor is the insecurities of Michael. Can they stay strong and overcome their pasts and find their future together? Michelle Donn puts together a great story.

Michael has no issues stepping in to save the day and will do whatever takes, including going toe to toe with the boss just to keep Sabrina safe. I loved this latest read by Michelle Donn and was excited to go back to the Miami Private Security Series as I love these books. Sabrina is a chef who's just trying to live out her dream of owning a restaurant. Unfortunately, she witnesses a murder which puts her in the cross hairs of the kingpin who committed it. Luckily, she is sent to the Smith agency who has had this guy on their radar for a while now. Cue her meeting Michael and from their first interaction there was a connection. This book takes you on an entertaining ride as they try to catch the bad guy with the help of the Smith agency and figure out what is happening between the two of them. This is another amazing book in this series that you won't want to miss out on reading.

Looking for a romance with a couple who is over 30 Michelle Donn is your author! One of the things I love about her books is the “older” characters. The witness is a great story of a chef trying to make her dreams come true and owning her own restaurant. Sabrina has done it all to get this close to opening her own restaurant. While working a catering job she witnessed murder by a high level criminal that seems to own everyone. She has to flee everything she knows for help. That’s where she meets Michael Steel who is her bodyguard.
This book was great, strong connections between the characters, a strong female lead who truly wants to save herself not be saved, and a mmc who needs learn not all women need saving!

Sabrina is a determined woman that is only moments from achieving her biggest goals, when life gets in the way. In steps Michael to save the day (but only when necessary, as Sabrina is strong enough in many ways to save herself).
These two make a great pair and the romance between them builds at a really good pace. I liked the pace of the book overall, too. It kept me turning the pages and not wanting to put the book down.
Michelle Donn also managed to surprise me with where the story went at the end, as I didn’t see the drama coming until it happened.

This took my breath away. Couldn't read fast enough, I was hanging on and didn't want to let go.
When chef Sabrina Dalton witnesses a murder by a crime boss, she needs help and fast so she goes to the Smith Agency and Michael Steel gets assigned her Protector.
Michael and Sabrina have that special something that connects the two. They really had it bad for each other and that helped build the story.
Fast paced and a total thrill ride of a book. I enjoyed it immensely and want more. The plot never slowed down and the characters all were important. That team spirit ever present and so essential. I wan decibel not disappointed.

Awesome read and well done by Michelle Donn. I was hooked by the first chapter and finished it in a day. I just love the suspense, mystery and romance of this book and the series. Sabrina has witnessed a murder by a powerful drug cartel boss and is on the run for her life. Michael a bodyguard in the Smith Agency is now ready to protect her. John Smith has been after Sandoval to rid of him and his corruption out of Miami. So he sets Sabrina and Michael to Cuba to trap him. I have enjoyed reading all of Michelle’s book.

As with all the other books in this series I was hooked from the very first word. Such a great suspense read that gave me goosebumps. Michael and Sabrina were perfect characters to get to know and the fact that Michael must protect Sabrina when she is a witness to something she really should have avoided at all costs only complicates their union but Michael will do all he can to keep her safe. I am a huge fan of Michelle Donn and this series would have to be on of my favourites from Ms Donn. So good with all the twists and turns that we have come to love from this author.

What a way to start a book, I absolutely loved it and the main female character Sabina. The whole diner and kitchen scene kicked this book off in the best way.
Not a surprise from this author who continually provides exciting and fantastic characters that are over 30. And in this book we're also treated to Kira and John, the couple that kicked off this series, they're my favorite.
And just like the other books in this series, there's intrigue, drama, romance and interesting characters that drive the story.

There is an instant connection and attraction between Sabrina and Michael but she's running for her life and he's going to be the one to protect her.
It isn't long before they get closer but danger isn't far away and will Michael be able to keep her safe.
I loved how they were together and they were perfect for each other but is that enough when life goes back to normal.

Michelle does it again. I haven’t read one of her books that doesn’t grab me right from the start.

A fast-paced, action-packed suspense that hooks the reader from page one. Chef Sabrina Dalton goes to the FBI when she witnesses a murder. Her trouble begins. She ends up at Smith Agency. Michael Steel's protective streak come into effect. Will she be able to open up her restaurant? With their mutual attraction, can he open up personally to show true feelings? This is a wonderful story with complex characters.

I very much enjoyed this suspense romance. I think it’s my favorite in the series, so far. The author is a very good writer and this story is a good one. The pace moves quick enough to make the story exciting while still doing a good job of developing the main characters and introducing secondary characters.

Another great couple from Michelle Donn! Love her strong FMCs and Sabrina does not disappoint! She is supported and matched so well by Michael. Makes for an exciting, fun read! Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Good read
I've read all of Michelle Donns books. This is part of her Miami security. While I enjoyed it I was kind of hoping for a little more action ( my opinion)
I def recommend this book for anyone who likes mature couples with steam, suspense and Macaws.

Michael and Sabrina are mature yet suspense romance. With some intense moments and still had some heat as well. But it was well written with edge of seat twists.
