It's a new year, and Killian and I are finally married. Ari's salon, in my old house, is nearly finished. My ERS is still plaguing me, but my doctor has found the right mixture of herbs to neutralize as many of the symptoms as possible.
At work, we're following up on some UFO reports from around the area, though I have no intentions on becoming a guinea pig in an alien's medical laboratory. And during my birthday, I'm given a gift from an unknown source. An antique mirror, that I remember from somewhere--but I'm not sure. The mirror is harboring a portal into a nightmare carnival of a world, where ghosts are the least of the problems. An unwelcome spirit from my past is there, and he's determined to break through and make my life a living hell. We have to stop him before he escapes from the mirror and this time--manages to kill me.

One of the reasons I love Yasmine Galenorn's writing so much is that she can seamlessly transition between past, present, and future tenses. She moves fluidly through time, much like her characters do.
Throughout the Moonshadow Bay Series, foreshadowings of danger to come keep the reader alert. Tension builds over a serious challenge and we readers can only relax when Evil has been avenged.
Over the past 12 books, we've been on an emotional rollercoaster with all of our newfound friends and they've become like family. We rest when they're safe and, so on.
Given the huge body of work by Yasmine Galenorn, I anticipate many more hours of enjoyment getting to know her worlds better. It's been a long time since I've found an author whom I've admired this much. I truly hope you will give her books a try.
While I enjoyed this short novella, I felt it could have/should have been a bit longer, especially with the villain that was in this one. It could have been just more! More scary, more creepy, more tense, but maybe that would have leaned more into the horror genre than this urban fantasy series is.
What I do need more of is more of January and Ari especially after what happened. Will things ever be properly resolved? Although, they are on their way, this set back made me feel very sad for them both and I really do hope they can work things out in the next book. I'm just glad January has her husband and family around her to help her through this.
Looking forward to reading the next book in this series soon.
Dreamer's Web, book 11 of the Moonshadow Bay series by Yasmine Galenorn was a thrill ride ! A scary one, but one nonetheless! Not going to lie, I'm afraid of shadow beings , but that didn't stop me from starting this book at 11 PM and reading it in its entirety. This story creeped me out, especially when I heard noises, or saw a shadow. All worth it. As always, I feel as if I'm an astral traveler in the book along with the characters for the ride ! My only wish is that the book were longer. I suffer a book hangover after reading Ms. Galenorn's books.... I want more , right then . It teaches me patience, though.
Dreamer's Web did not disappoint. January once again had to go up against the Shadow man. But she also faces life changes. The only thing she is 100% certain of is Killian. Life in Moon Shadow Bay is changing and January just hopes she can deal with all of the changes coming.
I'm in awe of this series and Ms. Galenorn's incredible writing genius. The world she creates and the creatures are crazy incredible.
Yet again, you'll find yourself caught up in the lives of the chacters that live within the pages. You'll sympathize as they struggle through every day issues like friendships, relationships, and simply navigating life itself. That's one of the many reasons why I love MS Galen one's books. With a touch of paranormal for flavor, it's so easy to relate to January and her world.
When I opened the book and saw it was labeled as a novella I was a bit disappointed. However, this book more than made up for it. There is a whole lot of story and action jam packed into these pages including the threads of a key story line while planting some seeds for new directions. Can’t wait to see what is next for January & Killian.
Another awesome story! January is a bad ass but also sensitive and relatable. And Rebecca! Finally, questions answered!!! I am sad it's over and can't wait for the next one. I laughed and cried. My heart is still a little sore, but I know it will work out.
So far there has not been one book from Yasmine Galenorn that I haven't liked, and I have a lot of her series. Her books are like watching a movie. She pulls you in and you stay there until the end.
Such a good story, I love the characters and felt everything happening. I was fascinated by the expanding dimensions to Moonshadow Bay. Well crafted totally engaging, Yasmine Galenorn is a gifted story crafter!
I like pretty much everything Yasmine Galenorn writes but this book makes me so sad. I do appreciate her ability to write an ending that's not a cliffhanger but leaves you needing to read the next book.
not my favorite in the series, but i can see the series is coming to an end. Looks like January is settling into her world so the time is coming where we will exit her life.
