Join Gabrielle as she builds a new life and discovers a new passion in the arms of Micah Davidson.

She was the toast of London! But a twist of fate has thrust premiere danseuse Gabrielle Hensley into a future she could not imagine in a lifetime of daydreams.

Searching for work she hopes will keep her sane and pad her empty purse while her broken body mends, Gabrielle accepts a job that takes her far from home and reminders of her beloved dance.

The last thing she wants or needs is a sexy, overbearing, egotistical man to make her tropical escape a nightmare. But Micah Davidson is captivated with his newest employee and determined to keep her on her toes, or at the very least … in his bed.

I would rather write an obit than my bio, mostly because I'm one of the most boring souls you'll ever meet. I have been to interesting places and met interesting people, but none of it rubbed off on me. Some of those places and some of those people found their way into characters or settings in my romance novels which lends me about an inch of panache--on the table below the salt. With family or solo, I've traveled since I was about eleven. I spent years living abroad in Central America in little jungle villages absorbing the native culture and language. I spent months on off-islands and sailed in the Pacific with a friend until his sloop sank--not with us on it--thank goodness. I spent a New Year's in Montreal, a summer semester in the U.K and a few glorious days in Paris before returning Stateside to finish a degree in history, then it was off to Panama and Costa Rica. While my passport is always handy, I've settled down in Texas to be near my family. Since I'm sitting still, I've plugged in my laptop and started writing again. After an absence of a few years, I've jumped back into the publishing world which has changed dramatically. I love the changes. In the past, category romance novels had a shelf life between yogurt and ice cream, but with the advent of e-books they can live on the Web for years. I'm excited to be publishing my backlist. I'm working on a new novel. I live with a man, a dog, seven feral cats and go to Bingo on Friday night. The most exciting thing that's happened in my life recently is a cow wandered into my yard and ate my garden. See what I mean about being boring?

As a small child you have dreams of what you want to be when you become big and as you grow older many times those dreams will change as you understand reality. When you are living your dream from the age of a small child you realize that there is NOTHING that you can't accomplish.

Gabrielle Hensley is a 24-year old prima ballerina with a very strong personality and has nothing more on her mind but that, ballet. The fact that she has natural breath-taking beauty just adds to the gracefulness of her craft. Gabby has tried her hand at love and has found that there is no room in her life for two lovers so she has chosen the one that is less complicated, ballet. When a life changing accident has Gabby on the sidelines recuperating she needs to find a way to make some money and to distract herself while she gets strong enough to get back with her ballet troupe.

Micah Davidson is looking for someone to work for him for a couple of months and he needs a quick and efficient worker. Micah is a former student of Gabby's father so this should help Gabby to make some money and help Micah at the same time. Will these two strong personalities work well together or will this combination be volatile and explode before the work can get finished.

A Strong and Tender Thread is a very charming story about relationships, attempted relationships, failed relationships and love on different levels. You have friends, spouses, lovers, ex-lovers and they way their interaction with each other is amusing and sensual and heartwarming all at the same time. I enjoyed this story. I love they way Weger write this story with the main characters and their back and forth interaction and I truly look forward to reading more of her work in the future.
