This story was sinfully good with Lula, who's sweet, caring, and a bit feisty at times and hasn't had it easy in life. With hot stepbrother's Jules,Stephan the Cutler brothers, whom she hasn't seen in three years. Tension has definitely heated things up, and i literally couldn't put this story down. With each chapter was a new surprise I didn't expect. Not only are there the two hoties but then there's Crew who's a bit argent and a bit up his self and I loved the Rivalry between the brothers and him when it came to Lula. Deep down Crew is a real sweetheart and a real dog lover towards his little pooch Neopolion, who's fiesty and doesn't like the f bomb. The twins London and paris who are so funny and then the not so nice character Jasmine who is going to be a real problem in this story, and I really didn't like her from the get-go. This story really had me hooked, and I was blow away with that ending just WOW. Melissa is the queen of cliffhangers and knows how to keep us wanting more.
"Welcome to Star Cove." . This wild ride of emotions is full of an unexpected series of events. I needed to find out what happened next. I read this book in literally one sitting as I couldnt wait to discover what has happening next.
Immediately we meet Taluhlah aka Lula. Just getting released, on her 18th birthday, from a court mandated rehabilitation and correction facility. Her mother Tiffany, if you could even call her that, and her rich Husband, Howard have had enough. As soon as they can, they ship her across the country to her father, whom she hasn't seen in 3 years.
With that, a whole different type of drama awaits. Seeing Jules and Stefan, her now stepbrothers, is hard enough. Unpacking the hatred and longing in their eyes is a different feeling entirely.
There's so much going on, I can't even explain it all without literally giving everything away. There's so much forbidden-ness going on and Lula is just trying to find herself and wanting to be loved. To be loved - A concept she feels she knows nothing about. So, when she feels even a sliver of it, she latches on to it with her whole self.
With every emotion (both, good and bad) she receives from Jules and Stefan, makes her want to prove everyone wrong. So, when she finds herself in hot water yet again, she finds an unlikely ally in Crew. Only this too, seems to be heating fast and she has no idea where it's going.
"I've had to change to protect myself and learn that if I don't look after number one, no one else will. Not even my own parents."
With Lula swapping one addiction for another, she finds herself in the middle of a relationship she definitely wants more of. Only the ending that seemed to come up too fast, leaves your jaw dropping with new information that might leave all of the guys lost. Will Lula be able to save herself and the guys in this new world she finds herself in?
Actions have consequences and soon Lula is determined to make her life whole again. Only, will she have the guys by her side when she manages it?
*Overall 5/5 *Heat? 4/5 *Multiple first person POV *Med burn *Ends on cliffhanger
Most authors just jump right into the smexy time and leave out the plot which makes for dull reading. Not Melissa. I really appreciate the effort our writer goes to in order to build the characters and create a plot that makes the romance/smexy time worth the wait. I want my characters to resonate. These do. There is always a feeling of excitement for the next book in the series. So far this year (much like friend Brayshaw Love) I’ve been DNFing left and right. I never worry about that with Melissa Adams work. You won’t either. It’s crafted, edited, and paced in a way that lets the reader enjoy without skimming while the stories unfold in a way that readers want more. Forever a fan of this writer. Her FMCs are never helpless dingbats and her male characters are mouthwatering with heart. Yum! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I started reading this book and just couldn't put it down. Lula has not had the easiest of times since her parents split, and things are definitely not what they seem. It doesn't make it easier that the lies are being dished out like candy. And most people close to her seem to be only out for themselves. Who can she really trust when no one seems to be there for her? This story will draw you in and not let you go, and then smack you upside the head when you least expect
Oh, Melissa! You are totally unal¡ve¡ng me with these stories! I think that this is now one of my all-time favorite books by you! It hooked me in at the very beginning. Lula ( Tallulah) is a fantastic female lead and all the guys! Jules, Stefan, Crews, and Rickki (friend?) I mean, really! It's perfect! And the twins Paris and London. This is going to be an amazing series! And that cliffhanger!(Chef's kiss ) seriously! So AWESOME! Can't wait for book 2!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Actual rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice level: 🌶️🌶️
I must say, Adams definitely knows how to write a book with characters that you just want to know more about, with sexual tension that's off the charts, and with encounters and twists that leave you guessing.
I very much enjoyed this book, but holy cow, things would have gone a lot smoother for Lula and her boys if they just communicated! I get that it's the plot and all of that, but jeez. I wanted to strangle them at a few different points throughout the novel, ngl.
Also, there were moments of repetitiveness which could potentially have been left out - constantly re-hashing why people disliked each other etc. It interrupted the flow at times.
Something also feels slightly off with Jules and his story - I'm hoping that it's something that will be addressed in further book(s) in the series, but something is sitting oddly about the issues he's facing with his ex.
So many threads of plot lines are delivered, and at points it almost seems like too many - but at the same time, the chaos works in favour of the narrative. It's a really fine line that Adams is balancing on, but I was definitely hooked on reading it, and wanting to know more of Lula and her boys' stories.
That twist at the end though! I was genuinely shaken by it, and cannot wait for the next book in the series to be released just to see where everything goes from here.
This was so good. From start to finish this book had me trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I'm not giving anything away you need to go in blind and take the rollercoaster ride of what is Telulah aka Lula life when she gets out of juvie and her mom tells her she's going to go live with her father for a year in Star Cove back to the 2 boy's Jules and Stefan who had her beart and broke it. This was one wild ride of a story especially when the guy's think she's going to be the same quiet, sweet girl she use to be only to find out she's not. This does end on a cliffhanger that has you saying wth, but I couldn't help laughing when it explained so many thing's. Book 2 should be even more wilder, I can't wait.
This kinda reminded me of The Summer She Turned Pretty but with spice. I felt awful for her taking the blame for her boyfriend and paying the price for it. I hated that her and the boys had a different view on what happened all those years ago. I love that they end up healing her with feeling welcome and with her addiction. This was a happy book for the most part and I cannot wait to read more from this author.
This book was amazing loved every minute couldn’t put it down and I’ve now got a book hungover it was that good I love Lula she has her problems but she’s so feisty you can’t help but love her and Crew with little dog Napoleon had me in stitches. Can’t wait for book two.
Wow, just wow. What a read! I have to say this is one of the best starts of a series I've read this year and wish the rest of the series was out so I could just binge read it. There is so much emotion and miscommunication to unpack between these characters. Lula is such a misunderstood character and has suffered for the choices of all the people around her, turning to substance abuse to feel some relief. Some truths come to light when Stephan and Lula are locked together and forced to talk. I can't wait to see where this story goes and what happens next! 20/10 read.
Lula grew up spending time at the beach with her family and her mother’s best friend’s family. Stefan and Lula were inseparable and Jules was the cooler unobtainable older brother. It was all great until three years ago when Lula’s father and Stefan and Jules’ mother announced they’d been seeing each other and Lula’s mom took her away from everyone and remarried. She married a Nan named Howard who he and his son tried to rape Lula, but she kicked him in the junk and her mother sent her to a boarding school. She got in with the wrong crowd and began selling and taking drugs and eventually took the fall for her boyfriend and got herself thrown into rehab. Upon leaving rehab her mother showed up to take her to live with her father, stepmother and now stepbrothers Jules and Stefan. Both of which show no interest in being nice to her. Stefan three years ago stole his mother’s credit card and booked a flight under fake id to save Lula when she called only to be met by her mother who claimed Lula wanted nothing to do with him. When he returned home he got put into military school. Jules got an older woman pregnant and married her, but then divorced when he found her cheating on him. Now she’s fighting custody until Jules gives her all of his money. Lula goes to work at the country club owned by her step mother and meets Crew James, the new lifeguard. He comes across as a jerk, but it becomes clear quick that Jules hates him and doesn’t want him anywhere near Lula. Lula goes to a party where she tries to sell drugs but Trevor shows up and claims she’s selling on his turf and indicates that he and his boys are going to rape her until Crew shows up and stops then. He takes her home and kisses her. Jules sees this and raises outside to stop them and when they are inside Jules confesses that he loves Lula and always has. Lila gives her v to him and tells him she loves him too. The next morning, however, Jules’ ex sees him kissing Lila and tells him that if he doesn’t stop seeing her she’ll keep their daughter away and how would it look with him daring his stepsister and convicted drug dealer. So, Jules breaks it off with Lila saying he only told her he loved her to get in her pants. Heartbroken she calls crew who said to call if she ever felt like using, and he showed up and “calmed” her down. She went to another party and Stefan was there. Paris a girl Lula had been friends with throughout the years visiting, locked her and Stefan in the bathroom so they could talk. It came out that Lula has called Stefan to come safe her and she thought he never came, because her mother had intercepted him told him she didn’t want to see him and blocked him on her phone. When they realized that neither had hurt the other they confess that they’ve loved each other all along. When Stefan tells her he’s a v, she confesses that she was with Jules and that she had something going on with crew. Stefan told her to keep up with crew to make Jules pay and because he made her happy, but that he wanted to be with her also. All three guys have financial reason why they need more money( Jules to get his ex to let him see his daughter, Stefan since he’s. Or going to West Point, and Crew because he was in a boating accident that he needs to pay for) so they all tryout for this new boat racing company that was bought by a mysterious newcomer. When he gets there both Stefan and Crew say Dad at the same time realizing that Stefan, crew, Jules, and Rikki(crews brother) all gave the same father.
SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy): The trilogy starts with the FC, Talulah (Lula) getting out of court adjudicated rehab and being shipped by her mother back to stay with her father, stepmother and two stepbrothers. Her father and mother divorced 5 years earlier due to her father’s infidelity and her mother was so annoyed that she took Lula away and has not allowed her contact with her father. Her knew stepfather is a powerful man and not very nice and her step brother tried to rape her but her mother refused to believe her. The story covers how Lula rebuilds her relationships with her father and stepbrothers as well as her life. This is set against a backdrop of murder and corruption.
Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆🍆 The sex scenes are how and include both 1on1 and group. They increase in number as the trilogy progress and take over a bit in Book 3.
The books need a good edit but otherwise are not too badly written. I found the trilogy started quite strongly (albeit not particularly originally) but then deteriorated as the books progressed and the story became more ridiculous and the sex scenes took over. There is a good amount of backstory on the characters which provides depth to the story and the relationships developed well with the FC being strong and likeable although I wasn’t into the drugs side of things. The author also seemed to gloss over how easy it was for the FC to take or leave the drugs and didn’t really deal with addiction. She made it seem like it is easy to just stop cold turkey when you do drugs. Unfortunately it was clear that the whole drug storyline was therefore more to give drama and depth to the FC rather than to deal with the realities of drugs.
The RH element of the story did not feel as organic as these storylines usually do and seemed more manufactured in terms of the FC falling in love with each MC and then just expecting them all to get into the idea of being in a relationship together. The group scenes also felt a little forced.
What ultimately killed this story for me was the whole murder mystery element then finding out who actually did it and the lack of caring or consequences. The author seemed to be saying that it was absolutely fine to kill bad people and if there is collateral damage then 💁♀️ so be it. No one needs to be punished or imprisoned and actually, it’s OK to commit further murder if you think the person is bad enough. That REALLY didn’t work for me at all.
Ovearall I found this story to be disappointing and although it started strong it developed into a page flipper.
This is book 1 and we’re off to a good start! Lula has just turned 18. Fresh out of rehab after getting herself into some trouble, she is shipped off to Star Cove where her father lives with his wife, and her two sons Jules and Stefan. They have known each other their whole lives and, she has been in love with both of them for a long time.
THE MISCOMMUNICATION/NONCOMMUNICATION is abundant in this book. The parents are all selfish in their wants, and the kids suffered the most from it. Lula has had it the worst, and the things she did to survive and get through the day are not the healthiest. Going back to star cove after not having communication from her dad, and the boys for the last 3 years is a struggle for her. With her anger toward all of them, and the boys being equally angry, and acting like she doesn’t exist, she turns to the habits she had to cope with the pain before. She meets Crew at her job, and after a rocky meeting, he becomes the one person she can lean on for support in her life.
I gave this book 4 stars. The heat in the book was hot, and just enough to get you interested in Lula with each of the guys. I feel like a lot of the filler pages were just a repeat of the inner monologue of each character’s reasoning for their anger. It was repeated a little too many times for me. Each of the guys have their own issues they are dealing with in their lives, so it will be interesting to see how Lula can help them handle their issues. I have a lot of questions on Jules situation, and it’s hard for me to connect with why he’s having such a hard time when he literally holds all the cards on coming out on top of that. It just seems a little weird to be the good, responsible, bread winner, who did nothing wrong, and is being used like a puppet by someone who has literally nothing, and a terrible reputation. With the money and reputation involved it just makes no sense to me. I hope we get some better understanding on this in the next book.
This was a good book. After the way it ended, I am anxious to get to the next book, and see the explosion from that bombshell.
Some time ago, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the captivating world of 'Luxe', an enchanting novel that introduced me to the incredible talent of this author. Needless to say, I was completely swept away by the story. So, when the opportunity arose to delve into another one of her works, the start of a brand new series, my excitement knew no bounds. But what surprises me is how such remarkable books like this one remain hidden and undiscovered by a wider audience.
'Sinful' serves as the first installment in the mesmerizing Made for Them series, and it takes readers on an exhilarating rollercoaster of emotions. From the very first page, the author's flawless writing had me completely under its spell, making it impossible for me to put the book down.
In this story, we are introduced to Taluhlah, also known as Lula, who finds herself quickly shipped off to her father, whom she hasn't seen in three long years.
Meeting Jules and Stefan, her stepbrothers, proves to be a difficult task. There is a strong sense of forbidden affection between them, and all Lula desires is to find her own identity and experience the comforting embrace of love.
And just when she finds an unexpected ally in Crew, the intensity of their connection escalates, propelling them into uncharted territory and leaving Lula confused and uncertain about where it's all heading.
Lula finds herself caught up in a relationship that she deeply desires. However, the unexpected turn of events shocks readers and causes chaos in the entire world. Can Lula save herself and the men who have become crucial in this new and unfamiliar world, or will they all meet their demise?
My curiosity is piqued as I envision the twists and turns that will shape the course of events, wondering how the characters will navigate the challenges that loom before them in book two.
DNF at 30%. This one was somehow disheartening and boring. The FMC has been dealt a shitty hand and nobody around her seems to look past their own prejudices/issues to actually care about her nor does she have the badass forged through fire take no shit personality. The result is a little depressing to say the least, especially once you throw in her parents messy divorce, the attempted SA that nobody believed her about, and her coping mechanisms ranging from selling drugs for protection to taking drugs herself. Stefan has a stick up his ass and while I understand that he thinks she intentionally betrayed him and broke his heart, his refusal to act civil with her back or just move on altogether is really childish. Jules seems a little more mature but definitely more focussed on his divorce and being a father. His crush on Lula felt a little creepy at times, especially when he was 18 (the same year he got an older woman pregnant and married her) and Lula was 15 (also when he 'accidentally' made her orgasm at a party- SHE'S A MINOR KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF!!!) All of the parents range from mild to raging assholes, especially regarding the whole cheating scandal (maybe saying "I wanted (other woman) ever since I met her and your mom for the first time" wasn't a great way to reconnect dad) and the way her mother outright refused to believe Lula over her new rich husband and son. The lack of freedom and autonomy that the FMC doesn't have grates on my nerves, and without a solid support system or spitfire personality, it makes for a sluggish read for me. We haven't even met the third love interest properly yet, but with the way the story is going, I can be bothered to stick around a find out. The writing felt inconsistent and relied too heavily on flashbacks, which also felt a little dodgy as this is a romance and the flashbacks were 'setting the scene' as in when they were all still minors. Overall, not a great impression. 2/10.
10 out of 10, this book blew everything out of the park!!! I was absolutely hooked in from the beginning and devoured it in one go I could not put it down. The emotions you get from these characters reel you in. I felt everything, and at times, I was screaming at my Kindle for the characters to just do what they needed to do or to let the secrets out already!
Lula os the MFC fresh out of rehab, with a mother who would rather place her one a shelf to look pretty than to have anything to do with, while she runs around with her new husband. She gets sent to live with her dad, step mom, and two brothers, who she hasnt seen in three years because of her mother holding it against her dad. The two boys used to be her best friends. Joined at the hip doing everything together. But that last summer together, when everything fell apart and the next couple months, made some catalystic mistakes and made some moves on the checkerboard that no one saw coming. Throw in the older brothers enemy, who becomes Lulas safe place and person to run to when things get bad, and it gets even more complicated. Secrets and lies make these three now enemies, and they can't stand to be in the same room.
This book takes you on a wild ride to uncover the twisted lies and to get the truths out of all the secrets, and when they do, can the four survive, or will it all crumble back down? Ends on a cliffhanger for book two.
Lula grew up with Jules and Stefan as best friends…but everything fell apart when Lula’s parents split. Years later, fresh out of court mandated rehab, Lula is back in Star Cove to spend a year with her father…and now Jules and Stefan are her stepbrothers. She befriends Crew (the hot new lifeguard) and his dog Napoleon. Her stepbrothers can’t stand him. What could possibly go wrong?
This book is full of so much angst and tension! You could feel it coming off the page when Lula sees the guys again after so many years. Their rivalry with Crew doesn’t help the situation, and even though they don’t show it, all three clearly still have feelings for each other.
At first found myself getting frustrated with these characters, but as I read the story more of their actions made sense to me…the author goes out of her way to mention at the beginning of the book that these are deeply flawed characters that aren’t always going to make the “right” decisions and that is something to remember as you read this story.
I really felt for Lula. She was in a horrible situation and felt abandoned by everyone but she was still sassy. She really struggled and I love how Crew and his dog Napoleon are so supportive of her.
This are some serious twists and secrets in this book including a shock at the end I never saw coming! I will definitely be picking up the next book when it releases!
I need the next book now! Lulu was great! And I am team Crew. All the way through he was steadfast in supporting her and being by her side. He didn't waiver and I loved that about him. It is something Lulu really needs because it was so easy for Stefan to believe the worst of her when they were younger and for Jules to just throw her away. I know they both have "excuses" for the reasons for doing so, but still their excuses show how little they think or thought I guess in Stefan's case of her and her strength. I know they were not her immediate family that treated Jules so badly but I do think that Stefan and Jules, especially Stefan paid a huge part in so much of her hurts and addictions and that her own dad didn't push enough to get her away from her mom. I know, I know the addiction is on Jules, but I still think she felt like she had no other way and no one who cares about her and that has lead to where she is now, battling addiction & on parole for something that shouldn't have been on her. I can't wait to see what happens next. Please don't let Crew waiver I love the strength her gives her and I really want to p*n*h Jules. Stefan is growing on me, I know all was not his fault before. Can't wait for book 2.
The summer I turned pretty but darker...sort of I knocked this book out in an afternoon, so it's easy to read if a tiny bit frustrating. Lula is being released from rehab on her 18th birthday and rather than deal with it, her neglectful narcissistic gold digger for a mother sends her instead to her extremely self involved father and stepmother for the length of her probation. She encounters the two boys who she grew up with and has loved her entire life, those boys are brothers and now also her step brothers. The boys are in a similar situation to Lula in that their lives are trash heaps and everyone except the parents are miserable. Enter drug addiction, attempted S.A (twice!!!! By different people) over bearing parents and boys that are so toxic they're basically disabled and then throw in some innocent harmless flashbacks of the past when summer was amazing and everything was awesome and nothing bad every happens. I really didn't like how it was called out a bunch of times that Lula's behaviour is a cry for help but nobody offered any alternatives or solutions. The parents should all be arrested. Those boys need to take a class on adulting. My favourite moment of the book were Rikki, Trish and Napoleon.

Not a bad story but some of the drama is ridiculous. 1) Jules and Jasmine had a prenup. She cheated. No judge would keep a kid away from their father so the mother could extort him for millions of dollars when he’s done nothing to indicate he’s unfit. She would be laughed out of court so that whole situation is stupid. 2) Crew’s situation, while not as wholly unrealistic, is still unlikely. Being #3 tight end would still get him an NFL contract. His “crime” wasn’t that serious and he hadn’t even been charged. The NFL is just not that morally righteous that they’d have passed up the earning potential from him over a fucking trashed yacht. It’s shit drama like this that takes me out of story. Plus, she hooks up with all 3 of them in what - less than a week? I don’t know…like I said, it’s not that the story is bad…the characters are fine but it’s for sure frustrating. I don’t care that characters are flawed and make poor choices but let’s at least have the situations match the level of drama they create. Also, there was way, way, way too much retelling of the same details. We got it the first time. 👍🏼

Amazing!!!!!! Okay I’ve said it before that Melissa is the Queen of cliffhangers and I stand by this! That ending definitely left me needing the next book!! Also I think Melissa is becoming the Queen of step brother romances!
This story follows Lula who was living with her horrible mom, she suffered living there and turned to substances which got her sent to rehab. After getting released she is sent to live with her dad who she hasn’t seen in a long time. Meaning she gets to see her ex best friend and his brother who are now her step brothers! She thinks Stefan betrayed her and he thinks she did the same to him however it was all lies formed by her mom. We learn that they were in love with each other as well as his brother Jules. Who is also having a tough time, he hurts Lula by lying to her which she turns to a guy called Crew who is Jules enemy but Crew is actually a really good guy and Lula does find a connection with him. So I’m really excited to see where this all goes in the next book! So many questions!!!
Lula is so nervous and unsure of next steps at the moment. She finally being released from rehab. The problem? What is she going to do next? Where will she go? One things for sure, not home with Tiffany, her mom, and her step-father. There’s no way that’s going to happen. But when it’s announced she’s going to California to stay with her dad, shocked is the understatement of the year. How will things go? Will she be able to face her childhood best friends after they abandoned her? Will she be able to last a year out there?
This why choose contemporary romance keeps a pretty quick pace and keeps you on your toes. Lula is so misunderstood, but is not afraid to fight for herself. There are so many twists and turns. Hold on to your hats, because it’s going to be a bumpy ride. This book does end on a cliffy. I can’t wait to see what will happen next.
✅ Reverse Harem/ Why Choose? ✅ Step-brother/ Taboo ✅ Second Chance ✅ Virgin h ✅ Friends to Enemies to Lovers ✅ Family Secrets/ Deception
Lula had almost everything. A loving Dad, a self-serving Mom and two wonderful friends to spend the summers with. Stefan and Jules were everything to her, she loved them. That is, until her world caves in on itself and she’s separated from the boys she loves. Three years later, Lula finds herself released from her current life and on the way back to the men who were once her best friends. South much has changed, so many feelings have been hurt. Can their love endure the test of time or will a new situation ensue upon her return?
I loved this book! Lula and the boys’ back story is incredible. The plot is amazing and the relationships are beautifully written! I absolutely cannot wait for the second book! Thank you, Melissa Adam’s and Chaotic Creatives, for an ARC of this book! My review is mine and freely given!
What do I mean by that? (and I don’t mean grown-up teen drama.. I mean its the next phase… past the teen drama.. So like past the summer I turned pretty show feel…). This story drops in with our FMC getting manipulated by her mother to be tucked away in a seaside childhood home that she hasn’t been to in 3 years. She has to confront her childhood best friends, and the tumultuous relationships around them… she has to find her place around people she used to know, all the while not being who she used to be due to what life threw at her. I’m trying to be vague so as to not give anything away. This has a fun taboo feeling stepbrother trope to it with a twist I didn’t see coming… I was thinking the twist was going to be something else… but NOPE, I didn’t see it coming! The book ends in kind of a cliffhanger- but not one where you’re afraid for their life or anything.. It's more of a -I WANT TO KNOW MORE! I enjoyed the ride, and look forward to the next installment!
Thalula - who names their kid Thalula? Oh yeah, that woman did. Oh, for real, I wanted to unalive Lula’s mom so many times LOL Anyway, I really loved this book. The characters were relatable and all flawed in their own ways. The hurt and the feelings run deep and the smut is first class. I know to expect cliffhangers form MA, but this one really did take me by surprise. Hang on tight, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride for sure! I can’t wait for book 2 and pray to the reading gods, that they are well on their way with the sequel, cause I really need to know what happens now! Highly recommendable to anyone who loves a twisted plot with darkish themes. Do mind the content and read the pages before chapter 1. Your mental health is more important than any book. The story is set in the wellknown universe of Star Cove. Several of MA’s series and duets are centered around this place by now. I was hooked from page 1 and before I knew it, the book was finished and I have SO many questions I can’t wait to get answered.
After being released from rehab Lula is sent to live with her dad for a year on probation. It’s been three years since she has seen her dad or her step brothers Stephen and Jules. A lot has changed for all of them. There was a few twists in the story that make it interesting to see where it goes.
I felt for Lula she didn’t have anyone in her corner and the lies that are told everyone has believed which left her on her own. After coming back she finds support in her stepbrothers arch enemy, Crew. The thing about Crew is there are no lies only the truth and support to help her.
Over all this was a good story by Melissa there was some repetitiveness so for me it takes a little away from the book but it is well written and I can’t wait to find out what happens next since she has an entire year to follow her fathers rules she has been placed under. I also hope she gets some revenge on her mother and their family.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is a stepbrother romance. A Why Choose romance and one that I really loved reading. Lula is a really sweet girl who loves fiercely and can be really feisty at times. Her best friends for the longest time were the Cutler brothers Jules and Stephan. Until they weren't and she did not see them for three years. Now their reunion is about to happen and they are all about to be one big happy family. Then you add Crew into the mix and things go from crazy to crazier. I don't know that I really can tell you much more about this story. There are twist and turns. Moments that will have you one the edge of your seat. I loved every single second of this book and need the next one in my hands right this second.
