Stranded with the one is the perfect Christmas novella! I absolutely love Christian and Holly’s story, it’s perfect, and this book has got some really good spice to it. I highly recommend this book!
Holly & Christian were best friends growing up with secret feelings for each other, but when the wrong girl enters the picture, Holly's hurt & cuts all ties with Christian, and they don't see each other again for over a decade. Turns out that fate has been lying in wait, and they finally come face to face on the way home for Christmas, and all of a sudden, things start to escalate in a smokin' HOT fashion (and I mean HOT HOT HOT) as they find themselves having to travel together to get home, and maybe just maybe there's a second chance at love in store for them. Stranded With the One is short but sweet with heat (again I mean HOT HOT HOT) novella that I never wanted to end, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
'Holly sólo sentía mariposas por Christian. Al mismo tiempo, amaba y odiaba la forma en que él la hacía sentir.'

Stranded with the one de Heidi MClaughlin
Argumento:
This book is a new sexy take on Trains, Planes, and Automobiles; think variations on the mile-high club.
She was his best friend; he was the love of her life. Then he found another and she left. Twelve years later, they see each other in an airport. He’s desperate to catch up; she’s desperate to get away. However, the Winter Storm of the Century is in full swing and circumstances dictate they work together to get home. Can they be friends again, or will it be much more?
Christian is a lawyer and a divorcee who is heading home for the holidays. When he spots Holly in the airport after 12 long years, he wants to know why she left without a word and he also wants to pursue a friendship or more with her. He has his work cut out for him because all those years ago he chose his girlfriend over Holly and left her hanging. Not to mention that Christian’s girlfriend, and later his now ex-wife, was Holly’s nemesis who bullied her, pushing her further away from Christian. Add in the fact that Holly had loved Christian for many years. When she left her home, she left all her memories of him as well. When Holly tells him the truth, he vows to do whatever he could to be the man that Holly deserved.
Unrequited love happens to many people at some point during their lives. The tables are turned as Christian wants a future and Holly is doubtful. After all, he broke her heart once and she didn’t want it to happen again. Holly is a single, successful published photographer. Her self-confidence and insatiable appetite are fun traits as she takes charge with Christian during their quest to get home. The airplane scene is hot, hot, hot! Christian is charming and determined to prove to Holly that they would be good together. He had friend-zoned Holly in high school because he thought she didn’t feel the same so he made a mistake and found someone else. It’s time to make up for the time they missed and boy, do they!
I’m a big fan of unrequited love and watching a man woo his way back into the heart of the woman he hurt. The characters are funny and captivating and the plot is intriguing as they travel together and fall in love all over again.
Thank you to Ms. Blake for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectations of a positive review.
In a very sweet second chance romance we get taken on quite a snowy adventure and it was so fun.
This is a love story that is created from friendship, loyalty and the need to make each other live again. There are wonderful twists and turns in this book and I'm personally so grateful I was gifted a copy for an honest review, it was such a good book. The book was very well written and moved without any gaps in the story. I highly recommend this book it will keep you captivated to the very Happy Ever after!

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
- Friends to lovers - Home for the holidays - Second chance
Christian is at the airport waiting for his flight home when he sees his former best friend from high school, Holly. They were inseperable for most of their teenage years, but he hasn't seen or heard from her in the thirteen years since graduation. The day after graduation, she left town and stopped taking his calls.
Holly can't believe her bad luck when she sees former friend (and first love) Christian in the terminal. She knows it was inevitable that they would bump into each other eventually, but she has been doing her best to avoid him since he got married to the mean girl from high school.
Christian is no longer married and is curious why Holly has been avoiding him all these years. She confesses that she was in love with him (not telling him she still is) while in high school and couldn't handle seeing him married.
Christian has also been secretly in love with Holly and is eager to use the cancelled flight and subsequent alternate travel plans to reconnect with her. But she lives in Florida and he lives in New York.....
This is a cute, quick read that I finished in one sitting.

The premise of this story was good. It was a case of "what if" - what if Holly had admitted all those years ago just how much she cared for Christian? What if Christian wasn't so afraid to stand up for what he wanted and ended things with Skye before it was too late to turn back? What if they had taken the chance to create the life they wanted and didn't waste the time? Unfortunately, they did waste time - Christian didn't end things with Skye until over a decade later, and Holly didn't admit her feelings until over a decade later.
I enjoyed this story but felt so many things happened too quickly, even for two adults who were almost lovers in high school. They go from never speaking to each other due to decisions Christian made to 1,000 degrees heat and getting it on anywhere and everywhere they could. So, while I did like this story and the engaging characters, I do feel it lacked a little something... deeper? It was a quick, short read so anyone who enjoys fast-paced, steamy short reads will enjoy this one.
This review is tough to write because I had mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I loved the second chance for Holly and Christian and how they find each other at the airport and then have to figure out how to make it home for the holidays. I loved how connected the families were. The writing flowed very well and its a novella but its also a full length story.
This is the part I had a hard time with. I would never ever in a gazillion years have forgiven Christian. He can fall in love with who he wants, and I am okay with that, but the girl/woman he falls for is a mean girl and he knows it. I don't buy that he never saw it. And she is mean to his best friend. If all that was not bad enough that he dates, loves her, then he goes and marries her and it's not a one-year marriage he stays married to her for a long time. I would have never forgiven him, he betrayed her by being with someone who is so callous to his best friend.

Holly and Christian were best friends all through school, well until Christian started dating someone. Holly fell in love with Christian right in high school after being best friends for years. She wanted to be the love of his life, to marry him, have a family and grow old together. Christian didn’t know what happened to his best friend years ago. They made all these plans but then she just disappeared. After no communication with each other in college, Christian picked his life up and married his high school sweetheart, too bad it wasn’t Holly, his best friend that he had loved for as long as he can remember. Can Holly and Christian weather the snow storm and get home with news of a relationship on the horizon or has the damage been done so many years ago that they can’t pick up where they left off, other than Holly finally telling Christian how she feels? Amazing love story!.

Stranded with the One is a short and steamy, OTT, Christmas themed, friends-to-lovers, secret crush, second-chance romance. Holly and Christian were best friends growing up until Christian got an evil girlfriend in high school, breaking Holly's heart. She moved away right after graduation from NY to FL without a word. 13 years later, the two run into each other at the airport in Miami, both going home to NY for Christmas. Christian sees her and approaches her. Turns out he's now divorced from the evil girlfriend. He and Holly really talk and realize they were both always in love with each other but too scared to say anything and lose the friendship. Now that feelings are out in the open, it gets hot, and S-T-E-A-M-Y. But is it a fling, or can they get their HEA? The chemistry was hot. It does end on a happy note, but I would have liked more. Overall, though, this was a good second-chance romance.

This is short cute holiday read with all the feels. Holly and Christian were best friends in high school each having a crush on the other but never revealing it for fear of ruining the friendship. When a new girl moves to town Holly becomes the third wheel. The new girl Skye is a mean girl and when Christian starts dating her and eventually marrying her this leaves Holly heartbroken. After graduation Holly leaves town and hasn’t spoken to Christian since. Thirteen years later a chance encounter at the airport has them running into each other. Christian is no longer married and when secrets are revealed that’s when the story really heats up. I love all of Heidi’s’ book and this is definitely at the top of the list. It was a quick satisfying read that anyone would love.

Stranded with the One is a fiery novella about two former best friends who bump into each other in an airport during a storm on their way to their hometown. Will Holly and Christian be able to use this second chance they’ve been given to act on the feelings they’ve been harboring for years? Can they build a lasting relationship?
Talk about starting the Christmas season off with a bang! The chemistry in this short read is blazing, and I’ll never look at planes and trains the same! If you’re looking for a short, creatively written, spicy hot holiday novella, this is a top notch contender! Make sure you download the bonus content for the icing on the cake!

Now in an airport the most unlikely place for him to see her he knows that he won't let her walk away this time. Holly's heart was destroyed and because of this she left town after graduation and didn't walk to or about Christian ever. Now she's face-to-face with him for the first time in years. Now stranded to get home the two of them will have an adventure and sometimes that adventure will have consequences. The truth about the past and why she left is revealed and Christian will do everything to show her that not only is he sorry, but his feelings were just as strong. This was a sweet second chance romance novella. The story centers around two Bff’s since they were kids and always assumed they would end up together but naturally the man was seduced by the hottest new girl in school and he and his bff drifted apart. Years later they see each other again while traveling home for the holidays and sparks fly.
I personally love holiday romance and this one was funny and spicy. I love it when the man is all in and has to do a little wooing to get the female to catch up. Great short read with a HEA.

Holly fell in love with her best friend Christian when they were in high school however she couldn’t bear to see him with another so she cut off all contact until a chance meeting at the airport years later.
When Christian sees Holly at the airport the one thing he does know is he isn’t about to let her just walk out of his life for the second time. When weather leave their plane grounded, they embark on a road trip that will change everything.
Holly and Christian have always belonged together, and they take us on a hot and heartwarming journey as they try to find their way back to each other.
They were best friends growing up, with feeling for each other that they kept hidden. When a new girl came between them, the future they talked about disappeared.
Twelve years later and with a bit of Christmas Magic, Holly and Christian find themselves at the airport with a delay. Holly lived in Florida and Christian in New York, both headed home and a chance to reconnection.
This was a good story, a bit of heartbreak that they waited twelve years to admit their feeling. I love the connection and heat between the characters, it makes you smile.

This is the perfect friends to lovers Christmas quick read!!
This is the perfect friends to lovers Christmas quick read. It's sexy, sweet, with just the right amount spice. You can feel it coming off the pages. Holly and Christian chemistry is undeniable and so addictive to read. I absolutely fell in love with these two. This is a great addition to this multi author series and also a new author to me. I’m definitely coming to be following from now on. Can’t wait to read more. Happy reading everyone
He couldn't believe who he was seeing sitting across from him in the airline waiting area. Twelve years ago, they had been best friends until the girl who became his ex-wife showed up and split them apart. Now they were both headed home to help their families for Christmas, and it was time for them to reconnect. This is a sweet, Christmas romance about former best friends learning that they have always had feelings for each other. Read to see if they will make it work this time.

A winter storm causes the cancellation of their flight but ends up being the exact thing that Holly and Christian need to get their friendship back on track. After years of no communication the time they spend trying to get back home for the holiday answers many questions that tore them apart and leads the two to act on the spark that was always there under the friendship. The perfect combination of holiday and love and while it may be short it really packs a punch right to your heart.
Tropes Holiday novella Second chance Childhood friends to lovers Forced proximity
This little novella PACKED in the heat. I have a soft spot for childhood friends to lovers.
Holly and Christian are perfect for each other. After reconnecting on a plane after years and years apart, they finally admit feelings. While they’re trying to get home for the holidays, they explore a relationship, and oh man do they explore.
I really wish this book had been longer. I loved the characters and the plot. Second chance romances are a favorite of mine when done right and this had all the makings of a great one. But not enough time is given and the end is a bit abrupt. Yes, we get the hea and there is also a bonus epilogue offered but I still wanted much, much more. Definitely recommend it, though, as I loved Christian so much!
This is definitely a book I didn’t want to put down. Holly and Christian were best friend’s. Until they weren’t and life went by. 12 years later they are both heading to their hometown for Christmas when they get stranded by a cancelled flight. These characters had phenomenal chemistry and I loved how determined Christian was.

Holly and Christian were best friends who went their separate ways after high school. They see each other again while they are both at the airport trying to get to their hometown. He never understood why she stopped talking to him but is now determined to get an answer. Holly loved Christian, and still does, and was heartbroken when he fell for and married someone else. Now he is divorced, could this be a chance for them now?
I loved "Stranded with the One" by Heidi McLaughlin. I am such a fan of this author's writing style and the way she writes feel-good stories that keep you entertained and wanting more. This is an adorable holiday read and one that had me smiling until the last page. What a great read to kick off the holiday season. Perfect addition to any book lover's collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
What a super cute and spicy Christmas read. I absolutely loved Holly and Christian. Christian has always been the one that got away for Holly. When they both end up at the airport together after not seeing each other for 12 years, it seems like fate. Pick up this little novella and see how it all plays out. You won’t be disappointed!!
