Hirshel Jaffe
4 books2 followersRabbi Hirshel Jaffe is a true hero who has shown immense courage and compassion throughout his life. He earned the nickname “Running Rabbi” due to his love for and participation in the New York Marathon. In 1980, Rabbi Jaffe visited the 52 American hostages in Iran, showcased in a BBC documentary, broadcasted on the 40th anniversary of their release in 2001. Ronald Reagan also honored him with the Presidential “Award of Courage” in a ceremony held in the White House Rose Garden. Having survived cancer five times, Rabbi Jaffe’s motto has always been “NEVER GIVE UP!” And his inspiring story will undoubtedly stay with you forever.
