MacArthur New Testament Commentary Series

Second Peter and Jude MacArthur New Testament Commentary

Rate this book
Second Peter and Jude are sometimes neglected as the "dark corner" of the New Testament. But Christians avoid these two letters to their peril. Both letters were written to expose false teachers, and to strengthen believers in the truth. In a day when sound doctrine is devalued, their warning has never been more needed.
Join John MacArthur as he explains each verse in a way that is both doctrinally precise and intensely practical.

Bible Commentary Invaluable

I wasn't expecting to get as much out of this study as I did from the 1st Peter commentary. But I was astonished at how much meat there is here.

My bible study group just finished our study of 2nd Peter today, and our synopsis was this: in light if the overwhelming amount of false teaching and scoffers out there, just as Peter predicted, we have a heavy responsibility to know and to share the full counsel of God.

Definitely a worthwhile study and very thought provoking in group discussion.

The cover of the book I read is white and part of the Life Change Series. I couldn't find it in Goodreads so I marked this one as completed instead.

I've been greatly blessed by some of Macarthur's other commentaries (his set on Matthew is very good), but this is not his finest work. Don't waste your money unless you are just trying to fill out your set.
