Not Quite an Angel

It Was As If She Were From Another Planet...

Sameh Smith looked like an angel, but something about her bothered hard-bitten investigator Adam Hawkins. Hired to check into her past by a vindictive and jealous woman, he found she didn't seem to have one! Still, nothing about the endearingly clumsy Sameh seemed dangerous except her effect on his heart.

That shouldn't have been a problem. After all, Hawk was all but immune to beautiful women; he had worked for some of Hollywood's most glamorous stars. But Sameh had strange powers that couldn't be explained by earthly logic. Even more bizarre was her ability to change his own life in the most unexpected ways...

Perhaps the tag Thriller isn't exactly accurate. I always enjoy Bobby Hutchinson's books because they are quite light, but intriguing and interesting. I like a bit of romance, and it's nice sometimes not to have the full details of sexual encounters. This book is interesting because its about a girl coming from the future, which is very much evolved and developed, but she is a bit of a clumsy clutz in her own way, making her very likeable. I'll always recommend Bobby Hutchinson's books for a relaxing read or listen.

2.5 stars rounded up for this typical 90s paranormal romance. In the first few chapters, Adam came across as a sex obsessed narcissist. But, he and the story improves a bit. The girl (I can't call her a woman despite being 30 in the book) is from the future. The boy/man as the girl-woman herself along with boy/man's secretary points out needs to grow up. Thankfully they grow up and have their HEA but, unfortunately for them they don't grow together. Overall this book is an one time fun read.

This is an older book but it still has all the good stuff. Time travel, angel-like abilities, and a couple who think that they should not love each other. A very lovely story.

Almost An Angel

I loved this book!!! Wish that there was a lot more time travel!!! The beginnings of New Age is fascinating!
The love story was awesome, but this story honed in on the homeless children and how to help them!
Bobby Hutchinson is a great author! I will be reading all of her books in the near future!!!
