I really enjoyed this book and the characters. It’s a great quick read and has you trying to figure out the different details that bring all the pieces together. I enjoyed the pace the author set and the way she brought everything to conclusion. I look forward to reading more of her stories in the future!

If y’all are looking for a quick and enjoyable read, this is the one. This is a debut novel for a new author and I personally think she did a great job portraying Calder and Abby and their journey.
Abby has been through a horrible event that led her to the arms of Calder who helped her in a way she will never forget. She ends up leaving town without an explanation. Years later and she’s back and she was not expecting to see him and especially with her family.
We got Calder who’s a handsome cowboy who helps Mae (Abby’s Mother) out. Once he laid eyes on the woman he thought he would never see again, he’s determined to show her he’s where she belongs and will protect her at all costs but he does harbor some secrets. Sooner or later, the truth will come to light…
There’s no escaping the chemistry and the intensity between these two.
Will they be able to overcome the past that keeps trying to hold them back?
I’m excited to see what’s to come from this new author and I highly recommend y’all to take a chance on her. 🫶

Abby left home seven years ago leaving a horrible experience and went to college. That night she also met Calder who helped her in more ways than one. Abby is back home and is ready to start working as a veterinarian. When Abby and Calder see each other again the attraction and chemistry are still off the charts, but Abby wants nothing to do with him. Can Calder change her mind ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book. Great supporting characters Love Calder and Abby and their character development. This book has humor, angst, and mystery suspense. The spice is awesome. This is a debut novel and I can’t wait for the next book.

Debut book that holds plenty of promise and did not disappoint! I read this is one sitting. This story was well thought out and nicely written. The story was easy to follow and quite enjoyable. If you're looking for a quick read, then dive into Abby and Calder's story today! I loved it!!

Really good quick read.
Easy to read in one sitting, Calder is the type of hero everyone wants, Abby is running but finds herself back in her hero's life, and tbh who would want to do anything but stay with him.

This was an interesting romantic suspense story told in vignettes of time. Calder witnesses Abby being hurt all that time ago and after helping her, both are affected and have never forgotten. Now back in the same place Calder shows Abby that he will always keep her safe and help her fight her fears. Abby gives Calder the opportunity to be the man he wants to be. This was a good short story with a HEA.

Oh my! What a fantastic, quick read! The spice you want, all wrapped in a great story. I think at one point or another we have all struggled with fully letting go and trusting someone, which makes Abby very relatable. Calder is there every step of the way, proving over and over that Abby is the only one for him! *swoon*
I can’t wait for more from this amazing, new author!

🤠I absolutely adored this book, it has a lot to do with gaining trusts due to past situations and I love it. It is fast paced with some spicy scenes in it. If you’re look for a quick sweet Romance with gaining trust I would definitely recommend you this read. Has a happy ending that I adored so much. Thank you so much for letting me read this I loved it 😍

Abby has been to hell and back and she is back for several reasons. She’s ready to live her life her way. Calder has some major secrets. When and how will they come out? These two have a strong pull and a connection that can’t be denied. This is an intense and emotional journey. These two have gone through a lot to be together. This story is a up and down journey with a few twist and turns. The characters have great depth and tell a heck of a story. I look forward to reading more by this author.

This is such a quick and great read. This is the debut book for a new author and to me, it was wonderfully written. The build and description for Calder and Abby was well thought out. Abby's past has a very traumatic event and Calder was right where he needed/wanted to be with saving her.
Years pass after Abby left because of the event that happened and Calder was not what she was expecting when she came back to Pine Hills. Calder was set on doing everything he could to show Abby his feelings and to protect her at ALL costs! He would and has done anything to keep her safe.
The past decided it was going to try and come between them, that was until Calder.
I just LOVE Calder's protectiveness and the way he loves Abby. Their story was so so good.
I highly recommend this book. I can't wait to see what is in store for Renee and her books!!
