All I can say is thank goodness thats over.. This book was way too long and wordy. There were several different POVs in a paragraph and that was just way too much.. Especially when the topics would wonder, I dont think Sir Charles said a complete sentence during the entire book so that made reading his dialogue very annoying.
Complete surprise! The dialogue was fantastic and funny, the characters were well thought out and had some depth, the plot line was a little unusual and very welcome in its candor. Published in 1993, this one is worth searching for!
This is a different take on the Regency genre, with intriguing characters that feel quite real. Their flaws cause them trouble, but their love pulls them through. It is one of my favorites from the 90's
